Poolside Connections

I have been working throughout the summer as a poolside bartender/waiter for the Pine Oaks Country Club. Throughout the summer I had come to know Karen, a regular who regularly brings her two kids to swim. One day as I was closing, I noticed that one of Karen's kids left his favorite toy beside the pool. I immediately called to tell her about the toy and agreed to bring it by after work.

Lorna had spent the good part of the evening (and late night) two days ago trying to calm her boy down. It was almost hopeless in the beginning, but her three-year-old darling cried himself to sleep eventually. And when he woke up, it was as if nothing had happened the previous night. And all this came as a great relief because Lorna had no idea where the misplaced toy was.

Well, until today. Lorna received a call from Mike, the pool boy at the Country Club, and was pleasantly surprised to find out that he had located her boy's misplaced toy. In the spur of the moment, she told him to bring it by her place that same evening, conveniently forgetting her engagement for that night.

Lorna was divorced with two children. While that seemed to be a deterrent for most regular men, Lorna still had no shortage of suitors. Perhaps it was her huge inheritance that was the draw - she was placed amongst the top 1000 richest women in the country. Or perhaps it was her intelligence - Master's degree holder in both Economics and Finance. Or maybe, for a more fundamental reason - she was a 34DD-24-35 brunette who wasn't very tall, but had legs that seemed to go on forever.

Lorna did remember that Mike mentioned dropping by some time around dinner time, which she took to be 7pm. At half past seven, her date for the evening turned up instead, and she had completely forgotten about Mike. The kids were at the babysitter's, which meant she had the entire evening (and the rest of her night) to herself and her date. But things don't always work out the way you want it, not even when you have a figure to die for.

In short, she ended the evening close to 10pm, practically throwing her date out, leaving herself frustrated, emotionally and sexually.

So she laid on the couch, with the television still on beside her, wondering how on earth a fantastic evening was going to end off this way. And of course, Lorna did not realise that her front door was still left ajar; in his haste her date had left it open.
