Poor Sheriff Joe can't trample the constitution anymore

Do you remember the 'plumbers'

You know who I'm talking about. The guys Nixon had going round fixing leaks. I feel sure that Reagan had people trying to stop reporters from finding facts about his Iran-contra scandal while he was trying to deny the deaths of the Mary Knoll nuns.

Susan McDougal was the name of the woman Kenneth Starr had locked up until she testified about the made up 'Whitewater scandal'. She was held in jail on contempt charges until she talked. She never did and Clinton pardoned her when he left office.

Then we come to Bush Jr. who single handedly led our country into an unjust war against one of our former allies. He withheld and misconstrued facts to the american public to get us to follow his terrible leadership.

Obama can't win with the right. If he tries to keep his keep secrets secure, he is an asshole. If he does not keep his secrets secure, he is an incompetent asshole.

The right wing would have more success, turning me against Obama if they raised hell over his war against whistleblowers.

Edward Snowden should be an american hero instead of a guy who is wanted and forced to live in exile.

you might have herpes

Nixon didn't send the plumbers anywhere, you lie.

Reagan did nothing to reporters, your swelling nipples notwithstanding.

G.W. Bush did nothing single handedly, he had the authorization of the Congress, the American people, and the coalition of the willing, 34 nations, behind him.

However, Obama, through his surrogate Holder, did try and go after the press in the case of James Rosen, and his White House staff, most likely at the direction of Valeri Jarrett, did go after Sharyl Attkisson at CBS, Drug addled hallucinations and swollen nipples to fuel your false charges.

As usual I have the facts, while you have

There are several things you might have, learning disability, ptsd, homophobia, and a raging case of the stupids. But to the best of my knowledge, you have never had the facts.

I am sure that you have heard the truth but fox told you to ignore it and you always listened to what the good folks at fox have told you. Your understanding of the facts of the world is similar to Boy Georges understanding of what it means to be a working man.

You've heard stories and you have repeated them, that is a far cry from understanding what has happened. But it is enough for you and your friends on the right.

Show me documentation, not the stories you heard, that Nixon controlled the activities of the Plumbers, you idiot.
You knew the tapes were erased, right? Official records, completely destroyed while in Nixon's hands.

And the U.S. Constitution is what to you if not one of those?

What does my comment have to do with the Constitution? What I said is that the sheriff and police are responsible for enforcing laws, and this includes those involving illegal immigrants. I also want to say Maricopa County is one of the places hardest hit by illegals because it is right next to Mexico and there is no natural boundary between the two places.

Um, I believe "Joe" is taking his case to a higher court.

Standby for news!

It would help. Not the one in the pic but the one which has been under construction for years and is not even close to being done.

Actually, it's a monumentally stupid idea.

http://immigration.about.com/od/bordersportsandcustoms/i/Fence_Issue.htm

The southern border of the United States is shared with Mexico and spans almost 2,000 miles. Fences are being built along one-third, or approximately 670 miles, of the border to secure the border and cut down on illegal immigration. The price tag currently sits at $1.2 billion dollars with lifetime maintenance costs estimated close to $50 billion.

Recent polls show that Americans are split on the border fence issue. While most people are in favor of increasing the security of the borders, others are concerned that the negative impacts do not outweigh the benefits. In any case, the U.S. government views the Mexican border as an important part of its overall homeland security initiative.

Latest News

The fence is still standing, but the project is taking a beating.

Budgets are beginning to skyrocket. Taxpayers for Common Sense, a non-partisan budget watchdog group, estimates that the costs of building and maintaining the fence could prove astronomical, ranging "from $300 million to $1.7 billion per mile, depending on materials."

Problems with technology cannot be helping the budget. In February, new surveillance equipment being tested in Arizona was heralded as the high-tech solution to apprehend illegal border crossers. A week later, the $20 million prototype was scrapped because it didn't adequately alert Border Control officers to illegal crossings.

The troubles continue in Arizona. With the approval of Congress, the Homeland Security Secretary recently waived environmental regulations to allow the construction of the border fence along the Arizona border. A move that environmentalists say will destroy the central part of Arizona's southern desert.

Federal law originates from the Constitution, dummy. Ergo, upholding federal - or any - law is in essence upholding the Constitution.

Vette I am sure that you think that Nixon was framed

Mikey, you pathetic liar, where is my link?

Try googling watergate plumbers trial That will give you several versions.

You might be the only person who don't know about the plumbers.

Indubitably. The sheriff of Maricopa County is responsible for upholding the various laws passed by Congress, the state legislature or the county government. I'm glad you agree with me for a change because it looked as if you didn't.

I remember quite well reading about the plumbers in the early 1970's. They were called that because they were looking for and plugging leaks to the hostile press. I'm quite sure none of them were ever charged with anything for that, although if a member of the plumbers was also involved with the Watergate break in, he or she might have been charged with burglary. The plumbers, however, weren't breaking any law so there never would have been any trial.

did you look where I told you?

I lived through it, that's why I know you're thoroughly full of shit.

You were on Nixon's side I guess. You didn't read any dada I mentioned did you?

But you are back saying I'm full of shit.

Just curious, what was you mos when you served? I was light weapons infantry airborne. I figure that you were a cook, am I right?

You just have that falseness of a cook trying to pass himself off as a real marine.

Do you do the cooking at home? Damn I bet you are a home husband and that is how you can play on the computer all day while your wife works. Assuming you have a wife,if no wife your mother then.

Are you going to jump into vette's foxhole of mis-infomation

Your link was broken and this is the one I read. It is a comprehensive history of Watergate and seems to have a strong anti-Nixon tenor: http://www.authentichistory.com/1961-1974/6-nixon/3-watergate/timeline/

The plumbers are mentioned prominently, and they did work for the AG, but there is nothing about any of them ever going to trial or being charged for their work as plumbers. The Watergate burglars were arrested and incarcerated and some of them may have also been plumbers, but there is no law against searching for persons who are giving info out to the press or other entities.
