Possible habitable planet discovered.

You mean red giants.
No, red dwarfs can collapse into black holes too. They just have way longer life spans than other stars.

That's assuming the Alien race has women.... It could be asexual..... or even tri-sexual... Now that would really screw things up....

Well than I hope they kill off enough human men for me to become desirable to human women.

I just hope the alien women like me

You'd better hope they don't like you medium-rare, pal.

Who needs extra ammo? I'm fine over here.

I'm sure you meant to say, "red little people," or "red size-challenged," or better still, "little people of color."

What can I say, I don't have a way with words. I major in science. *sigh*

Now, now, where's that English note from high school?

I like where this is going. :D Would be a writing challenge to explain how these aliens do it (and how that would affect us once we were exposed to it). *cackles*

Dinner, dessert. Food, fun. It's all the same to me :D

I'm no Christian, but give them a break. You know that guy who keeps bringing up the most embarrassing moments of your life at parties? You're that guy.

I spoke the absolute truth.

Ever hear of Giordano Bruno? He was a priest that was burned at the stake for saying that there were an infinite number of other planets in the Universe. He was labeled a heretic, and burned at the stake in 1600. So when I said 400 years, I should have said 407.

Just to be clear, when I said the church, I meant the Catholic Church. Of course, the Catholic Church tried to clean up their record on Bruno a few hundred years after his death, but it was already too well documented.

Ammo? We won't need no stinking ammo. It'll be a big love fest.

I'm going to film all the nekkid wimmin over there, and sell it to the schmucks left on earth. I'll call it "Alien girls gone wild". I'll get them all liquored up, pay them $50 show their tits, and make a gazillion bucks.

I've seen the future and it is lightspeed

Don't need no stinking FTL or warp drive, just take some magnets and make free energy, the bigger the magnets the bigger and freer the energy.

Get to light speed. As you approach light speed time dilates (slows for observers) and also mass increases. (this is assuming that Einstein wasn't just blowing it out of his arse)

Ok. get to light speed and entropy zeroes. (time stands still). Mass has increased to infinity and effectively makes the body moving at light speed as massive as the universe. There's only one way to be as massive as the universe. Being the universe.. Pick where you want to be (20 light years away) and start slowing down. You have arrived instantaneously. (You have to arrive about half way there so that you can slow down again otherwise there is just going to be blood everywhere, mainly from your nose as you hit the space windscreen.*)

This is where the logic flaw comes in. Women (through no misogynistic reasoning) will be unable to travel anywhere using this method. Even though time is non-existent at light speed there is no girl on planet earth that will be able to withstand even the idea that their arse is as huge as the universe. "Does my bum look big in this space ship?"

*Space windscreen is an oxymoron because like screams there is no wind in space [except solar wind, so as you were] change that to solar space windscreen)

The space race has changed your life in so many ways

This is totally unnecessary. Sure this new "find" is fascinating but really... there are much more important matters on "this" planet that needs serious attention. I don't see the point in spending trillions on a "space" expedition. What have we done by going to the Moon? How has it helped us remedy the problems in our planet? All these are just distractions.

You switch over to another object if the old one's beyond repair. Earth isn't beyond repair but it'll be if we don't mind our actions.

I'm not totally against space exploration but there's a time for it and its not now.
Without the space race you would not be using that computer. It changed everything so much from rain-x on your windshield down to the anti lock brakes on your car.

Very few things are the same since we as a species started to enter the edges of space.

That is IF they have tits.

Seriously, what if the alien race we encounter on that planet (assuming we get there someday) is like...octopus on Earth? Man, that would suck. Literally.

Can you imagine the hand job an octoperson could give? :D

Actually, I already know whats going to happen. Once our ship lands, and we step out, the conversation will go something like this:

"Hey Ragnar. Do you remember that bad science experiment that we dumped on that little planet a few billion years ago?"

"Yeah Jorg, I remember. Why do you ask?"

"It's found it's way back".

"Shit. We're probably going to get in trouble. We were supposed to destroy it, not dump it."

LOL...Damn you, now I have all these weird and creepy (yet quite stimulating) images in my head. :D

It'd be so damn funny if we go there to bring back rock samples and end up being the samples in their labs.

You know, if they find intelligent life on another planet, that would put it at a distinct advantage over Earth. ;)

I sure hope they find a bunch of dinosaurs there and get eaten.

Huh, that'd make a good sci-fi story.

It's been done, actually. I used to see that movie on TV all of the time back when I was a child.
