2014, the year the war started, the war, one so great and grand that it covered the entire world in madness and death for 6 years, no soul was untouched by its corrupting influence, and before mankind could end it, either in peace or total destruction, the choice was taken from us.
God chose our fate, Armageddon, he had grown weary of our squabbles and chose to start anew, but in order to do that he had to remove us from the picture. He sent his angels, at first their divine light was a beacon of hope, but it didn’t take many massacres to teach us that lesson, and with the angels came so many others, the supernatural of earth came out of hiding to defend themselves, the demons of hell came to take their own toll of life from anything that crossed them… It was death on an unimaginable scale.
Mankind was doomed, it had no way to survive the onslaught, but mankind was not, and had never been one to just roll over and give up, they fought, armies that had once turned their weapons on one another now stood back to back in the face of the otherworldy horrors as mankind unleashed every weapon it had, biting the hand of god as he came to put them down.
In the end, the fighting stopped, the angels and demons, once all but indestructible, suddenly found themselves vulnerable, week, cut off from their source of power, god and the devil had abandoned them, the mortal realm wasn’t worth it, they would try again without it, and without the followers they left behind. Mankind had not fared any better though, between the sheer numbers killed, and the devastation they had caused to the land around them, they had become an endangered species.

So that’s the idea behind this thread, the world has effectively ended and we’re all screwed, but we survive, and a few generations down the line, things get a little more liveable, that’s where the thread would pick up. You could play pretty much anything in this setting, human, mutant, demon, angel, anything, it would all fit in here.
Any of you interested yet? I was hoping there would be enough to start up a group thread for this, but if there’s not enough interest we could do a one on one. If any one out there is enticed but any of this, feel free to post here with any questions or ideas you may have.
