Post Mueller Testimony

I managed to get through the Executive Summary on this report before having to run a few errands. The rest will be tedious, I'm sure.:)

It may be the weekend before I can sit down and digest everything on that report.

Well. after going through most of the executive summary, the violations of 793, 2071 and 1924 by the Clinton crew will go unpunished. Two tier justice system. Deep state alive and well. Feel bad for that submariner who was sentenced up to a year in the brigg for far less. As a retired commissioned officer of the United States Army this summary sets a new precedence in the handling of classified material.

for ONE pic he didnt share!

Trump pardoned him

BUT STILL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NotVette had Comey in the slammer. How’d that work out for ya, sport? Nothin’ to see here.

I think it going to end in prosecutions of former officials. Seems to me if they find out that George Papadopoulos was framed and exculpatory evidence was withheld by Comey, Yates, et al, in that intitial FISA, such a revelation would negate the his prosecution and precipitate the prosecution of others, no?

Care to name which officials will be prosecuted?:D

My apologies to all. I originally posted the wrong link. This is the correct link:

https://oig.justice.gov/reports/2019/o1902.pdf

I would have corrected it sooner but our Internet connection has been down for several hours. You can skip to page 60 for the conclusions if you don't want to read the whole thing. It was a bad day for the self righteous Jim Comey:

"Former Director Comey failed to live up to this responsibility. By not
safeguarding sensitive information obtained during the course of his FBI
employment, and by using it to create public pressure for official action, Comey set
a dangerous example for the over 35,000 current FBI employees—and the many
thousands more former FBI employees—who similarly have access to or knowledge
of non-public information. Comey said he was compelled to take these actions “if I
love this country…and I love the Department of Justice, and I love the FBI.”
However, were current or former FBI employees to follow the former Director's
example and disclose sensitive information in service of their own strongly held
personal convictions, the FBI would be unable to dispatch its law enforcement
duties properly, as Comey himself noted in his March 20, 2017 congressional
testimony. Comey expressed a similar concern to President Trump, according to
Memo 4, in discussing leaks of FBI information, telling Trump that the FBI's ability
to conduct its work is compromised “if people run around telling the press what we
do.” This is no doubt part of the reason why Comey’s closest advisors used the
words “surprised,” “stunned,” “shocked,” and “disappointment” to describe their
reactions to learning what Comey had done.

We have previously faulted Comey for acting unilaterally and inconsistent
with Department policy. Comey’s unauthorized disclosure of sensitive law
enforcement information about the Flynn investigation merits similar criticism. In
a country built on the rule of law, it is of utmost importance that all FBI employees
adhere to Department and FBI policies, particularly when confronted by what
appear to be extraordinary circumstances or compelling personal convictions.
Comey had several other lawful options available to him to advocate for the
appointment of a Special Counsel, which he told us was his goal in making the
disclosure. What was not permitted was the unauthorized disclosure of sensitive
investigative information, obtained during the course of FBI employment, in order
to achieve a personally desired outcome."

I don't know, maybe Comey, maybe McCabe, in the coming FISA investigation. Maybe Clapper and Brennan in Durham's investigation into the origins of the Trump coup.

The OIG did refer the issue to the DOJ and FBI for appropriate action:

"The OIG has provided this report to the FBI and to the Department of Justice Office of Professional Responsibility for action they deem appropriate."

we knew nothing would happen

yet Stone was SWATTED for nothing

Flynn was besmirched for nothing

etc

After reading the findings and recommendations my confidence of any punitive actions against anyone, even with Barr as AG, is nil. I believe the deep state is so deep and so convoluted with so many back alleys I just don't see justice happening. Both democrats and republicans are complicit in this miscarriage of justice. The DOJ couldn't even protect epstein, who, I'm sure, had some pretty damning info on some pretty influential and powerful people, and guess what, powerful people always win, they always do. I'm of the mindset that if Trump or Clinton and the rest of the crew broke our laws then let the chips fall where they may. All we get is political infighting or party against party bantering but never a guilty verdict. If your a democrat or a republican we as a people lose. A two tier justice system hurts us on the lower tier, we should all be concerned. I'll believe it when I see it.

I guess if Sandy Berger can get away with mishandling classified materials then why not Clinton.

He was fined, sentenced to community service, put on probation, and had to surrender his law license.

My point is the punishment never seems to fit the crime. I know he was fined, if it was someone of less persuasion, lower rank military it would have resulted in jail time. I bet you McCabe gets off

Seems like in the public’s eye, the FBI is above the law.

I hear you, and agree. I'm not sure McCabe will get off, I think he's toast. Comey will once again be at the center of an IG investigation. The IG report on FISA Abuse has been completed and will be released in a week or so. Comey, for the third time, will find himself at the center of another IG Investigation. I believe this coming report could be the vehicle that puts him in front of a grand jury and prosecution.

As an aside, Devin Nunez said yesterday the IG findings on Comey are but a "building block" to a criminal conspiracy referral his committee sent to the DOJ for prosecution. So let's wait for the IG FISA investigation and Durham's investigation before we think of it all as a whitewash.

Good time to revisit this thread now that the missing puzzle pieces are starting to show up in Washington.

Maybe I should have titled this thread: John Durham: Investigating the investigators - or something to that effect?

Nevertheless, Mueller is old news; Durham is on the case😂
