Care to guess how many "McCain was impaired" threads we would be dealing with if the late, not-so-great senator from Arizona had somehow been elected?
For example, if the economy never hit 3 percent growth for a year, people would really be questioning how much the disease that killed him today impacted his thinking before the brain cancer was discovered.
Same if, just as a wild example, he left the Middle East in a flaming shambles while also allowing Russia to establish itself in Syria.
And what if he destroyed that smiling, nice guy image and became an international pariah thanks to a series of overseas drone strikes that killed women and children along with suspected terrorists, and targeted and killed Americans, too? Jesus, the peaceniks in the U.S. would never stand for that, and he'd probably be considered an international war criminal, at least in some countries. But would it be due to brain disease?
Or he could do something nutty like target and punish his opponents with the IRS. Gotta be brain cancer, right?
Better yet, he could send official e-mail correspondence - you know, classified stuff - to a high-ranking cabinet official, maybe someone like the secretary of State, on her private server.
Let's go totally insane and say that the debt increased by $9 trillion under McCain's watch. OK, even I'd have to admit he was really suffering from brain cancer to allow something like that to happen.
Either that or he was fucking retarded.
Of course, no president in real life could be that bad.
