Primal Play (Closed for FireyIce)

It was the constant and incessant beeping of the heart monitor that she heard first. Her mind was so cloudy and muddled it was the only thing she could focus on. Next was the light her eyes very slowly opened and all she could see was light for a a few moments. It stung her eyes for quite awhile and she kept blinking. Soon the room was coming into focus.

She was in a room. That was all she knew. She tried to focus what was in there. Ugh, the beeping was still going. How does she turn that off. She looked down at herself. She was laying on a bed... But this didn't look like a bedroom. It was then that she realized someone else was in the room with her.

He was sitting... More like lumped on a chair. It looked like he closed his eyes for a moment and nodded off. Looking at his face hard she determined that she definitely didn't know him. Whoever he was, he looked handsome. Why was he in her room? Was this even her room? It didn't feel like it.

Travis had been spending most of the day studying while watching over his sister. Luckily, the school was accommodating with the incident, he was able to have his classes be converted to being online. The downside of the accident would be that he would probably be losing his athletic scholarship next year, though it was worth the price for the convenience.

While he was studying, he found himself trying to stay awake. Not only was it quiet, the fact that the beeping was being fairly constant, didn’t help with him trying to stay awake. For the last few days, the average day was him showing up at the hospital and being there for close to 14 hours. He drifted off for a moment before hearing the shifting in the bed.

Once he woke up, he looked over and saw Lilly start to open her eyes. The beeping also started to be a bit more rampant as he could tell that she probably was in a small state of shock with her new surroundings. He wasn’t sure exactly what to say or do first. Without that much thought he got up and walked over to her. “Hey, Lilly, how are you feeling?” he asked with a bit of remorse and concern in his voice. While he was waiting for a response he pulled out his phone and started to text their parents, letting them know she was awake.

She watched as the young man got up and came closer to her. Her head was still a bit foggy. He seemed to know her but she had no idea who he was. He was calling her Lilly... She ignored his question as she tried to search my mind for her name... What was her name? The more she tried to think the dizzy she felt. She held her head as she waited for the room to stop spinning.

She rested her head back down on the bed. "I..." She tried to think of what to say. She wished she knew who this boy was. "Where am I?" She figured she would start with that. Maybe once she knew where she was things would start coming back to her.

She tried to move her legs, but she found out two things: 1. They felt extremely heavy. 2. She was in pain when she tried to just even bend her toes. She grasped the blanket and pulled until she saw her legs in the casts. What had happened to her? "What's this?" She referred to the casts. They looked like strange boots.

Travis continued walking over, looking over at his sister as he heard her start asking a lot of questions. “You were in an accident, Lilly,” he told her while seeing the frightened expression on her face. “Don’t you remember? You were walking in the parking lot at the mall and someone hit you.” He figured that his explanation technically wasn’t a lie, since that is what he was told that happened.

“You were hit pretty badly, but you’ll be able to make a full recovery,” he told her as he noticed her looking down at her legs, in the casts that he was starting to feel guilty about. After a few moments, he got out his phone and called their parents to let them know she was awake. There would be no doubt that they would be dropping everything and heading back to the hospital as soon as they were able to. Once he was done with the brief conversation, he looked back at her and asked, “How are you feeling? Do you need me to get you anything?”

Lilly took in all the information he gave her. Her name was Lilly, she had been in an accident, which explained the casts and the medical looking room. As he called someone, Lilly took that moment to look around. There were some 'Get Well' balloons, cards, flowers... There was one stuffed bear on the table next to her bed. It looked pretty new, or at least well kept. It was dressed like a knight with armor made of felt.

She reached over and grasped the bear, hugging it closely. It felt comforting to hold onto something. The more Lilly kept trying to remember ANYTHING before she wok, the more upset she was feeling and more scared. She didn't know this person in front of her but he knew her, or at least that is what it seemed. He didn't seem mean, but for some reasons Lilly didn't feel comfortable being alone with him. She didn't know why, and that scared her too.

Lilly hadn't realized his call ended until he asked her if there was anything he could get her. "Water, please" she asked him softly as she held onto the bear tightly. She could feel something building in her chest until it felt like she could barely stand it. Tears started slipping from her eyes.

Travis answered her with a calm voice, “No problem, sis,” he said as he went and got a glass of water for her to drink. He handed it to her and then slowly moved back before speaking again. “Mom and dad are on their way. They should be here in about the next 30 minutes or so,” he added as he tried to reassure her. He was surprised at how shocked she was looking.

“I’m going to page the doctor so that they’ll know you’re awake,” he said as he took the button in his hand and pressed it, letting the staff know to come to the room. “Do you need anything else?” he asked as he looked at her, noticing her tears. As much as he wanted to wipe them away, he figured it was better not to since she was seeming so dazed and confused.

Lilly just shook her head no and drank some of the water. She wiped away her own tears and the two of them just sat there in what seemed like a strange awkward silence. It hadnt been long though because the doctor on duty had came in.

It was a petite dark woman with a friendly smile. She came in and introduced herself, asked Lilly if she knew why she was there. The doctor began to examine her, first by checking her eyes, ears, everything normal in a physical examination. Heart beat, blood pressure, they checked is she had feeling in her legs, range of motion... then the doctor asked...

"What is the last thing you remember, Lilly?"

Lilly was confused about how to answer, "Um... you came into the room and started to-"

"I'm sorry," the doctor cut her off, "I meant to ask, what is the last thing you remember before the accident?"

And there was another long pause from her girl as she held the stuffed bear to herself again. "I... I don't remember." She said quietly. Her eyes very briefly looked to whom she could only now assume was her brother and then back to the doctor, and then to the bed.

"You don't remember anything?" The doctor asked. Lilly only shook her head to confirm. The doctor took some notes. "Alright, Lilly, I want you to just lay back and rest. I'm going to schedule for some tests tomorrow so we can see whats going on up here." The doctor tapped a finger against her down head. "Don't stress yourself, but if you remember anything let one of the nurses or doctors on duty know."

Travis listened as the doctor talked with Lilly for a few moments. He listened carefully as she mentioned she didn’t recall anything from before when she woke up a little bit ago. He also watched as the doctor told her that she was going to be scheduled for tomorrow. Before she left, he stopped her and asked what the initial problem was.

After he heard her primary prognosis, he walked back to the bed and looked back down at Lilly. “Hey sis,” he started to speak, “How are you feeling? Are you still doing good or do you want me to get you anything else?” Travis inquired as he ignored his phone while still looking over her. “Any questions you want me to answer for you?” he added as he sat down next to her.

"I have a million of them," She spoke, actually trying to make light of the situation. "So... You're my brother? And my name is Lilly..." she asked, feeling a little embarrassed that she admired his features earlier.

She started to rack her brain of things to ask. There was so much to ask but she didn't really know where to start. She asked her full name, age, etc. None of it was ringing a bell, so she decided to go a different route.

"Are you my older brother or younger?" She didn't feel older, but then again she wasn't sure how an older sibling would feel. "Do we have any other siblings? What do our parents do?" She stopped as she realized she wasn't giving him any time to actually answer her other questions. "Sorry... like I said, I seem to have a million questions."

Travis listened as Lilly started to speak. He listened as she asked question after question. As he listened, he realized that this was no joke, no gotcha for what he had done to her the past week or so leading up to the accident. He waited until she was done asking a lot of questions before even attempting to answer any of them.

When he realized that she was done speaking, he started to answer some of the questions that she had. For the next half hour or so, he filled her in on what her name was, the fact they didn’t have any other siblings and so forth. Though it was a bit strange on the basis of telling her things about her, them as well, it did seem to be comforting. It wasn’t until their parents came in that he took a break from speaking to her.

“We’ve been catching up,” he told their parents as he stood up and talked to them. “She claims that she doesn’t remember anything. Not just about the accident, but anything,” he reassured them. “I’m going to head home to get some sleep, but I’ll be back later to stay the night again,” Travis offered as he stretched out a bit and started to pack up his stuff.

Once he finished making sure he had anything, he headed back to the bed and talked to Lilly. “I’m going to go home for a while sis,” he stated as he held her hand gently, felling her soft skin. “I’m going to be back shortly and you can continue to ask me anything you want to, alright?” he asked before he started to leave the room and head back home.

Lilly held onto Travis's hand. He was the first person she saw when she woke up, so when he said that he was leaving she felt upset. She didn't know these people who claimed to be her parents, granted she didn't know him either but he was still the first person there, the first comfort she had and now he was leaving.

"Lilly," The woman who claimed to be her mother tried to reassure her as her hand caressed her hair. "Your brother needs rest. It's alright, he will be back to see you." Her mother sat down, smiling a little as she tried to reassure her daughter. "When you were children and you were scared, you know you never came to our room... it was always Travis, so I'm not surprised that you're scared now and want him to stay, but I promise we wont let anything happen to you."

Reluctantly Lilly let go of Travis's hand and watched him as he left. She held onto the bear tightly as her parents took his place, asking her questions and she would eventually talk and speak with them. All the while the doctor watched the interaction and was taking notes regarding her behavior.

Hours passed, blood was drawn to be tested. Lilly had not liked that and cried through the whole thing. It concerned her parents as she hadn't been scared of needles since she was a child. Night time came quickly and their parents were asleep on the couch and the chair. Lilly was curled up on the bed, the covers over her and the teddy bear as she was trying to fight off sleep until he brother finally came back.

Travis watched as Lilly gave him a look of disapproval as he attempted to leave. “It’s alright, sis,” he told her as he looked over at her. “I’ll be back early in the morning, I promise,” Travis said in a reassuring voice while slowly getting her hand off of him. When he was done, he walked over to his parents and told them that he would be back at around 6, 7 at the latest.

Travis headed home, stopping to get some food on the way. Even though he knew it was great news that Lilly woke up, he didn’t feel up to putting anything on social media. Once he got home, he went into Lilly’s room to see if there was anything that would help with her memory. After finding a few photos of her with her cosplay stuff, he went to his room and found a more recent family photo. He made sure he put the items in his bag for the following day. It took a moment for Travis to get undressed and into bed.

Travis got a descent amount of sleep before getting up and taking his shower. It was still somewhat earlier than he cared for; however, it was going to be well worth it. Once he was finished, he got dressed in a pair of jeans and a fairly nice shirt. He headed out, hoping to avoid morning traffic. Once he got there, he headed up to the room Lilly was in. He knocked on the door, slowly making his way in before getting a response.

Lilly stayed sleeping, but their mother had woken to the sound of the knock. She had picked herself up and went to the door to let her son in. "Did you sleep well?" She asked him as he stepped inside. Their mother looked tired, but much better from the past week before Lilly had woken up.

It was so strange to think that Lilly had no memory of them, even more so that there was a possibility that she might not ever remember. Lilly might not have been the brightest girl when it came to school, but she had been going to college and taking a few courses. It wasn't clear yet how much information she retained academic wise. For all they knew they would possibly be teaching her everything all over again (though the doctor assured her that in most cases patients like her could still read, write, and do basic math).

After Travis settled in, their mother let him know when additional tests would be conducted and that a few doctors would come in check in on her. Quietly she woke her husband and the two left to go home and get ready for work, leaving their son with their daughter.

(let me know if you want to fast forward. If so, I don't plan on having Lilly remember, but she's going to need physical therapy in order to walk again).

Travis had got resituated when he finished hugging his parents and watching them leave for the day. He looked at Lilly as she continued to sleep while he started to pull out some of the work that he was hoping to get done for the day. As he started to work, he did think about how grateful he was to have his school to be accommodating for the rest of the semester. Luckily, he was almost done since all he was doing was watching his sister and helping out when he could.

Travis continued to work before he heard Lilly start to wake up. “Hey, sis,” he started to say quietly and calmly, “It’s me, Travis. How did you sleep?” he inquired as he looked over at her. Before she could answer, he pressed the button for her, letting the staff know that she was up. While he was waiting for the nurse to come in to check on her, he decided to keep the pictures and videos of the lucrative acts she had participated in sexually that he had seen to himself and thought that maybe down the road he might show them with her. It would depend on when the time would be right though.

When he watched the nurse leave, he pulled out the picture he picked up last night that showed them at a family vacation the previous summer. “I figured you would want this next to you,” he said as he sat and started to talk to her about what was going on and hoping to help jog her memory. After a while, he slowly grabbed her hand and held it. “I hope you can remember,” he told her soberly, “Even if you don’t, I’ll still be here to help you. No matter how long it will take,” he assured her as they continued to wait for the doctor.

Lilly woken to seeing her brother. She almost wishes she went to bed earlier if she knew he would have been there as soon as she woke. Seeing the pictures were nice, but since she hadn't looked at a mirror, she actually didn't know what she looked like until Travis showed her.

She pointed to the young woman in the family photo that could only be her. "That's me?" She asked, just to be sure. While looking at the features she gently touched her own face. It was almost like she was trying to verify with her fingertips that it was her face in the picture.

It wasn't long until a nurse came in to check her vitals. The day was going to be riddled with tests once more. Lily knew they had to run them, but she was tired of being poked and prodded. "Will you stay here with me today?" She asked him hopefully. She wanted the distraction and right now he was the most familiar person.

-fast forward to a month later-

Lily's had to switch rooms, she wasn't able to climb up and down the stairs just yet. She was restricted to a wheelchair but was going to physical therapy regularly and expected to recover quickly, at least physically. Mentally, her memories seemed to be perminately gone. Of course their mother cried, but after they were able to bring Lily home, it was clear that she was greatful to just have her daughter back. Of course when they moved her stuff down stairs, their mother took the liberty to get rid of a few things... Mostly outfits that's she didn't approve off. Their mother would make sure she would dress in more conservative clothing which went against the doctors orders which was to have her around things and dressed the way she normally did to help with the small chance of her memories coming back.

It was like their mother was seeing this as an opportunity to make her daughter the way she wanted. Their father didn't agree but also didn't want to oppose his wife. Whatever was left of the former Lilly was locked away in that hot pink trunk. Their mother told Travis to find the key or some way of getting into it. She wanted to know what was in it. (No respect for privacy, which is why she had the trunk in the first place).

Lily didn't know any better, so when her mother dressed her, did her hair and nails, she assumed everything was fine. If it made this woman happy and not cry, she would do it.

Recently she did get curious. She explored a bit on her computer. She couldn't get into her emails, she didn't remember the passwords. She was able to use google. She was surprised when she found a YouTube account with her on it. (This is the non sexy account). The girl on the screen seemed so different from the girl in the chair. She wore outfits that showed off her mid drift, heavy makeup, cosplay, comics, movies, she swore in every other sentence. This girl was.... Vulgar... Lily didn't know if she wanted to remember this person or not.

"Better not let mom see..." She closed the window and decided to just leave it alone. Lily pushed herself out of her room "Travis! You home?" She called out to him.
