Queen Anne's Revenge...ooc

Well, that makes two of us. Even if no one else shows up, though, just think of the party the two of us could have....*laugh*

Woman, you know that where you

are........others will follow. Hell honey, we could have
a private party and torture the hell out of 'em!

The Master Thief...

Well, Cas, I think that a Halloween Party/Grimm moment would be wonderful.

I think I shall play The Master Thief, it is a bit of a stretch, but I think I can pull that role off.

Besides I don't have to look for a costume...*rougish grin*

When is this thingy going to go down?

Any ideas?

Let me know. Even if it is only the three of us.

Well, I was thinking of starting the preparations for the party maybe on Monday or Tuesday, and then just having people show up as they may. I know that Halloween night itself is very busy for people, myself included. To try to have it just on that night would mean that lots of people wouldn't be able to show up, either because of their own little trick-or-treaters, as with me, or because they have already committed to a rl party for that night. *smile* If we had it throughout the week, as many people could show up as wished to, whenever they could manage to drop in.

For anyone lost, what we are talking about is a Halloween party, open to any and all on Lit, all boards included, so if you are just lurking, now is your chance to join in on the fun. I would just love to meet people I haven't had the chance to meet before, as well as get people together on this board who don't usually get a chance to meet each other. The theme would be a Grimm one, and if you need inspriation, I have provided this link:

Jinny, you could come when you could, and post when you were able, but if you still don't think you have the time, you will be here in my heart.

He steps in the door and looks around, quietly wondering what he's missed. He smiles and walks over to a comfortable looking rocking chair.

Been a while...

Well, jinny, if you come wound up in only a net...

I asure your chances of being pilfered by a Master Thief are greatly increased.

Ah, but...
whom would be caught...and who be be the catcher?

Well that would depend, jinny, on whether you are playing bait, or just dangling on the end of a rigid hook, I would suppose. ;)

I think that both a well-placed hook and a carefully tended net have their separate ... and distinct ... advantages.

Don't you?

One can be caught in a net of one's own making ... or hoisted on one's own petard, as well.

ROFLMAO

Yes I would have to agree with you jinny. You could wrap yourself in your own net and be hoisted on my petard any time you want, luv, anytime you want.

Hmmm...anybody have any comments (positive or negative) concerning my new av?

jinny, as much as I enjoyed your other av, I must say, being partial to siren's and mermaids; that I enjoy this one even more.

Looks great on you, must feel good to stretch into another position once in a while.

Looks up and smiles.

Seems I nodded off for a bit.

I'll just leave a note.

Scribbles on a piece of paper and pins it above the mantle.

To all I missed...

And that I did. I apologize for my absence and hope that I shall return shortly. The world has been tossing me like an unlikely ship as of late, but hopefully I shall find this port again shortly.

Much love to you all...

Gage.

He stands and walks back outside, into the colder air of the brisk wind.

Gage,
Sorry I missed you love. You are always welcome, you know that. I would have loved to sit and chat with you in here.

Jinny, love, I am so glad you are going to be able to make it to the party. I will get started later today setting it up. Looks like you and Swash are already getting into the swing of it all. *grin*

I guess I should come up with my own costume. I will look over the stories again, and see what I can come up with. I am leaning toward one of the evil queens, though, I think. *evil grin*

Anyone and everyone is welcome, hope to hear from more people as the week wears on.

OK, folks, as this is my idea, I get to change it. *smile* I am going to extend the theme to fairie tales in general. If iti s a fairie tale, and you love it, you can come as a character from it.

Why? Well, because the story that keeps popping into my head is Hans Christian Anderson's The Red Shoes, so that is the one I would like to do. *smile* I will find a link for Hans Christian Anderson, and fairie tales in general, and post them here for anyone who would like help with an idea.

~Cas

trying to fit the concept of a hulking (but eminently sensitive) swashbuckler with faerie...

not working in my head, but then...

*laugh* Jinny, you can do Grimm, or Anderson, or any other fairy tale you can come up with. *smile* I want to see teh by-play with you and the handsome pirate/thief, though. *big grin*

Speaking of "any other fairy tale", here is a link for fairy tales from all over the world.

Setting the stage

A spooky atmosphere is created by windows draped in black and red gauze, with candles in chandeliers and candleabra. A fire is lit in the fireplace, and low, moody music can be heard through hidden speakers. Cleverly carved jack-o-lanterns with votive candles are placed on each of the tables, and the tables are surrounded by comfortable chairs for anyone who might show up to play.

The bar is fully stocked, with a bartender in black tie behind. A buffet is set on tables lining one wall, with just about any food you may wish to partake of. The Queen Anne Halloween party is open to all.

Hmmm...a bartender in black tie. Nothing much else, either.

You know...I'm coming to the conclusion that this net costume is going to be ... irritating. Chafing. It's also a bit warm. In order to get sufficient coverage in order to walk down the street, there is more here than meets the eye.

Going to have to watch out for candles, too.

Probably should have some sort of charity event ... raffle off squares of my net to save ... hmmm... salmon, I think would be appropriate.

Why am I always the first at a party?
