Any tips on how to get rid of or shorten the course of those nasty painful boils that are sometimes a side effect?

I found a couple of things:

It looks like soaking/applying heat to speed drainage and talking to your doctor about draining and medications is the usual course of action. The first link also mentions a cream specifically for boils.

One of my family members worked with a Naturopathic MD during chemo, and they were able to greatly reduce or elminate many of these types of side effects naturally, so perhaps that's another avenue to check out?
