Hey, everyone. I need a little help here.

For a few days, I haven't been able to access emoticons unless I type in the letters needed to create the emoticon. At first I thought it was a Lit glitch, but if I use my husband's account, things are fine.

Same goes for attachments--when I click on "Manage Attachments," nothing happens.

I should add that I use Mozilla Firefox and when my husband's logged in under his own username he's on IE (he usually lurks under my name, though).

Thanks in advance. :)

*edited to add that bold, italics, and underline don't work for me, either

Just a shot in the dark here. How about you logging out and then return using IE? Maybe it will shoo out any gremlins. Seems there have been some odd occurances at Lit of late.

btw, Hi Eilan. :) (not to rub it in, but that smilie worked for me.)

I suspect that your pop-up blocking or java$cript restrictions are your problem. I sometimes have to turn off my pop-up blocker to explictly open new windows because it gets too restrictive about what it considers a "pop-up." Both of your problems involve opening new windows and/or scripting to insert the icon or vB tags.

I switched to Opera and that's working for now. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks. :)

I was going to suggest that. :D

If you are looking at some of the widgets BjustB v0.2 might not be a bad one, although you would still have to type in the :) , :D , & etc.
