Teenage Venus said:I used to use Mac, but graduated to LINUX. It takes a bit more intelligence to use, but the benefits outweigh the slight extra brainpower needed to become au fete with it: stability, speed, no cost, open sourse, major decrease in spam and virus/worm problems. Not surprisingly, major firms, and discerning surfers are turning to it in ever increasing numbers. Having a 'MAC' used to be a status symbol, but now it's more a case of hanging on like a child does to it's favorite bit of blanket.
Well, excuse the fuck out of me.
I used UNIX many years ago. My opinion of it is that it should dropped on Fallujah rather than used in computers.
'More stable' means it's now only as dangerous as old dynamite rather than nitroglycerin.
A system using UNIX is like an F-15 Strike Eagle. It's fast, powerful, will get you to the target and paste that target nicely.
However, for every hour spent in the air, at least eight are spent on the ground getting it ready. And you had better have a hot pilot sitting in the driver seat or you just end up with a large, smoking hole in the ground.
Have you had the rm *.* surprise yet?
