Quiz: What OS are you?

I used to use Mac, but graduated to LINUX. It takes a bit more intelligence to use, but the benefits outweigh the slight extra brainpower needed to become au fete with it: stability, speed, no cost, open sourse, major decrease in spam and virus/worm problems. Not surprisingly, major firms, and discerning surfers are turning to it in ever increasing numbers. Having a 'MAC' used to be a status symbol, but now it's more a case of hanging on like a child does to it's favorite bit of blanket :) .

Well, excuse the fuck out of me.

I used UNIX many years ago. My opinion of it is that it should dropped on Fallujah rather than used in computers.

'More stable' means it's now only as dangerous as old dynamite rather than nitroglycerin.

A system using UNIX is like an F-15 Strike Eagle. It's fast, powerful, will get you to the target and paste that target nicely.

However, for every hour spent in the air, at least eight are spent on the ground getting it ready. And you had better have a hot pilot sitting in the driver seat or you just end up with a large, smoking hole in the ground.

Have you had the rm *.* surprise yet?

XP too

You are Windows XP. Under your bright and cheerful exterior is a strong and stable personality. You have a tendency to do more than what is asked or even desired.

Gauche and Cookie sitting in a tree... I wish.

Gauche

I'm with Cookie and Gauche! although I don't know enough about OSs to know if windows XP is the one they all laugh about.

And I would have known something was up if I got mac, apple or linux - thank christ! ;)

So how true are these descriptions to you? Mine is way out of whack. The best and brightest. lmfao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Well, excuse the fuck out of me.
Sure will. You sound old and out of touch with reality, senility maybe? :p :D

Hey! I've been to Fallujah, and have a pic of me on the bridge the Brit Royal Marines put there in WWII, lol. Actually, I found the Iraq people very nice. (I presume you are a Yank, so excuse your ignorance and wish to destroy other peoples and territories.)

Just for information: THIS SITE and 99.9% of ISPS, commercial sites, and good websites use UNIX/LINUX. And what do you think MAC is based and runs on:p

I guess it's a straight case of 'old age' having got a grip of you :D Get one of your grandchildren to bring you up to speed, maybe???:p

I'm wicked - but lovely with it

I'm sorry, Venus, but this has got to be one of the rudest posts I've seen you make.

Rob happens to be a very respected contributor here. Please tone down the attitude a bit - it's not becoming at all. Not "wicked and lovely," but ill-mannered and childish.

And even without the name I would have guessed you as very young.

I sounded the same as you at your age. So utterly sure of myself. I just knew I was wise beyond the understanding of those old fogies.

Ah well, it's what you learn after you know it all that really counts.

And actually I'm Canadian, as you could have figured out if you could read.

And now that I stop to think about, one of my major objections to UNIX is that even back then the people who worked in UNIX (as opposed to those who merely ran programs on it) were all arrogant little twats like yourself.

Using UNIX wasn't because it allowed the programmers to create powerful and useful programs that allowed the user to better perform their jobs. It was a way of showing off their superiority from those ignorant peasants whose tiny brains kept them from understanding the glory that was God, I mean UNIX.

Rather like Latin in the Catholic Church, UNIX was not a method of communication but a barrier and ritual. It kept the hoi-polloi from understanding the inner mysteries, and allowed the enlightened to speak to one another.

Oh well, people always need something to hold their egos up. Power is one of the most common.

LDW? In case you haven't noticed, this quiz gave an answer far removed from my choice of OS.
