Most interesting quote thus far from Xenophon "It so happened that after breakfast Thibron and Thersander the flute player were spending time in the tent together. Thersander was not only a fine flute player, but he also claimed to be very strong, since he was a great imitator of Spartan ways." oh really a fine flute player? Yes over a thousand years later and the innuendo is still the same. The lesson to be drawn is, however, not to take a break in a tent in the middle of a battle field for sex, since they were slaughtered by the Persians where they lay. Xenophon notes that the general replacing Thibron was much more reliable since "pleasures of the body did not master him..." Interesting.
