Ransomed armor/clothes

Listening to some medieval history and I heard about how usually knights and lords were taken for ransom, which I knew, but also their armor was ransomed (partially as a mark of pride, partially because they were custom made so it was rare you could just fit into them if your took them)

So it gave me the idea of stories involving clothes or armor being ransomed and how to turn that into a story

For example:

Lord is kidnapped and gets ransomed but won’t pay his armor fee. He always hated that set anyway. So his kidnappers put a spell on it to animate it, forge a phallus for it, and set it loose so soon stories of the lord fucking his way across the countryside while in his armor spread and he needs to pay a higher ransom to get the spell revoked.

Or: Princess is kidnapped and ransomed but kidnappers decide to set the ransom depending on what clothes they want the princess returned in or clothes at all.

Another idea:

Marauders steal a bridal gown or wedding suit that were to be used in sacred ceremony. Their victims are willing to pay but beg them not to put on the clothing.

The marauders do and soon find it was meant to be worn by the bride or groom of a god. Whoever wears it, regardless of sex or gender, is made to be the partner of a god

Knights, when they lost in jousting competitions would often lose their armor and horse and would have to ransom them back. I'm sure some unusual arrangements were made due to that.
