Can any of you gentlemen here on Lit. really be so hard up that you answer an ad from a person who:

1. Purports to be a young female.
2. Is willing to perform any variety of services.
3. Has posted on lit very few times.
4. Has no information whatever in 'her' profile.

Please - enlighten me - why ever would you bother?

Well, I don't actually answer ads like that but...

This is the Internet and you're wondering if any of the guys here could be hard up enough to take a flier on a 50/50 ad?

Please - enlighten me - why would you even ask? :)

New posters have to start somewhere. :p

Agreed. Hence the importance of at least filling out a decent profile.

That is when you ask for more info. They may just truly be noobs?

Again, agreed. There is always the possibility, however remote, that the post may actually be legit. But wouldn't even a noobie want to maximize the possibility of getting the responses he or she is looking for by providing some basic information up front - preferably in their profile - like gender, age, general location, and marital status?

The question was meant to be retorical...

What? Are you implying that such posts are somehow less than sincere?

SHOCKING!

So glad that someone said it, the same applies to many of the men Literotica not only do they not have a public profile they often send private messages that only include three words or less! How are you supposed to with courtesy answer something like that?;)

It's like UFOs. Most people are skeptical and don't believe in UFOs, or at least won't believe until they see more proof that rings true with them. That's those of us in this thread so far.

But some people will believe anything, no matter what, because they WANT to believe.

That's the people who reply to those posts. ;)

HornyAndDesperate: "M_32_WA HornyAndDesperate@email.suffix My dick is 18 iches long. I have web-cam and microphone.

Reply: "I only correspond with people who fill out their profile, and write an introductory PM introducing themself. Feel free to get to know me in the forums and by PMing, and read my profile so that you know that I don't reply to one liners."

Note to self : Stop sending Switch short messages like "I Want You"

I think it's obvious there's more men on here (Lit) than women so many of us just chum the waters by PMing a lot of women and seeing if we get any bites.

That being said, when one does respond and they live relatively close, I think we get excited and eager.

Shrug. No biggie to me. I haven't met anyone from here as of yet and I certainly wouldn't do it unless I'd been talking to them for a decent amount of time first.

Just be safe, people.

I get a lot of those 3 word type messages! "how are you" "what are you doing" "wanna be my slave/slave/bitch" etc.. umm... a light intro would help me like "hi, I'm XXage and in the ___ state or area, I'm looking for a *friend, online playtoy, maybe in person toy* etc" ...something that will help me decide if I want to talk to you. Those short messages I get I give lame responses back like "I'm going to bed", "I've got a migraine", "umm.. hi back?" or "slut? and who do you think you are?" And then I delete their message. When I get a proper message I'll at least write them back with a proper message even if they aren't what I'm looking for to at least say sorry, but thanks for writing. Yes it's online and it's a chance to be a person you maybe wouldn't be brave enough to be in person.. but still isn't to reason to forget your manners. =P
