"Rebuild": A Zombie Survival RP

Troy had finally gotten his breath back and had gingerly stood back up behind his barricade. He peeked over and saw the stairs crowded with Zombies. Smiling he poked his gun over and quickly unloaded the whole magazine. Soon the steps were awash in green blood and zombie parts and then suddenly there was a loud sound from behind him and the sound of a fire reached his ears.

He heard Thea screaming as Anubis finally got ahold of her and knew he had to make use of these distractions. Climbing through the small gap he had left for just this purpose he whistled for the pup to follow him and painfully made his way up the stairs reloading as he went. He rounded the bend at the landing and saw the mass of zombies gathered at the top. They seemed to be waiting because of Thea's ranting so he let fly with several shots to clear the top and rushed up. He cleared another area and then started to run towards where he had heard her voice coming from. Once he was halfway there he sent the pup ahead to attack her, he didn't want to be shot again, and continued forward. The narrow walkways were to his advantage. One shot cleared a pathway the entire way across. It become easy for him. Shoot forward twice, get to the crossing shoot up it twice move on. He cleared all the way towards her hearing her screams and threats the entire way.

Daniel

When the explosion rocked the building straight to its foundations, I felt something in my head. Like when someone has grabbed your arm tightly, and their grip loosens, the pressure let up. The same thing happened in my mind. The grip the Voice had on my conscious had weakened. There was a moment of tranquility, as my suppressed personality shone through the shroud of control placed on my mind. And then I felt the pain.

It was unbearable, the conflict in my mind. The battle between the two fragments of my personality, in a war for power. I clutched the sides of my head as I fell onto my knees, groaning in agony. I vaguely registered that Thea had left the room, and I was alone with Cassandra, who was still bound to the chair. It didn't matter to me, though. This pain needed to end, otherwise I was sure I would go insane.

Or, at least, more insane than I already was.

One side of my mind wanted to simply submit to the Voice, let it make all the decisions. Life is so simple when none of the decisions rested on your own shoulders that side of me argued. Whereas the smaller part of my mind wanted to be free, to break all restraints. The conflict was destroying me, driving me crazy.

And it didn't help that Cassandra was trying to draw out the weaker side. It only furthered the conflict, making it worse.

"What does Daniel want? The real Daniel ... a friend? A lover? Someone that puts her life on the line to save him? Or does the real Daniel want revenge for someone running over zombies? Which is it … you can’t have both … you have to choose!" she had said. And she was right. I had to choose. I had to make a decision, decide which part of me would be dominant in my conscious.

Suddenly, the pain disappeared entirely. As if it hadn't even been there to begin with. I rose to my feet, a little dizzy as I found my balance. I turned to face Cassie who had been a silent observer the entire time. She was, no doubt, hoping my breakdown had left me free from the Voice's influence. Free to decide for myself.

I walked over to her, taking out the knife I always carried with me. I saw Cassie's look of fear and terror, afraid for her life, afraid I was going to kill her. I put my hand over her mouth to silence her pleas of mercy. I couldn't have her ruin it by causing the other side of me to resurface.

I decided I would follow up on my promise of looking at her tits one last time. But first, I needed to free her. To right my wrongs, and to make up for the deaths and suffering I had without a doubt caused. I put the blade up to the ropes holding her, and sliced through it, freeing her left hand.

"I expect a thank you once you are free, and for you to take off your shirt," I told her, before removing my hand from her mouth. "Oh, and by the way, I still hate you."

Cassie and water don't mix

Daniel was undergoing some kind of intense internal struggle. His face was twisted and distorted … I could not imagine what it must be like to have other minds in your head.

Then he seemed to get control and pulled out his knife. I was sure he was going to kill me right there, especially when he put his hand over my mouth. But I was wrong! He sliced through the ropes holding my left hand.

"I expect a thank you once you are free, and for you to take off your shirt, Oh, and by the way, I still hate you." He said.

I pulled the knot free from my right hand and jumped up out of the chair and into Daniel's arms. Hugging him fiercely.

“Daniel you’re back … YOU ARE BACK!!! THIS IS SO AWESOME! IT IS TOTALLY EPIC! SICK ... SAVAGE!” I gasped as I tried to explain my inner feelings of joy.

"I still hate you” Daniel said.

“I know … but I still love you!” I said

“I want the shirt off” Daniel added.

I finally loosened my hug and looked Daniel in the eyes. It was him … but there were other minds in those eyes as well. It was weird. Kind of spooky.

“I’ll make a deal with you … we get out of the library alive and I’ll give you a two hour lap dance … totally naked!” I suggested. It was at this point … the water sprinklers activated. The water soaked my “rambina” spaghetti strap tank top almost right away. There was no hiding my assets, my big nipples, areolas, and jugs were clearly visible.

“How about a wet t-shirt contest?” I joked to Daniel. We were still in each other’s arms, but I jiggled my chest a little for him. Then we heard Thea voice on a lower floor of the library.

"YOUR FIRE WILL NOT PROTECT YOU NOW RIA ... JUST GIVE UP SO I CAN TORTURE YOU!!!" Thea screamed.

“DANIEL ... we need to go and save Ria!” I gasped.

"YOUR FIRE WILL NOT PROTECT YOU NOW RIA ... JUST GIVE UP SO I CAN TORTURE YOU!!!"

For a moment I had thought the fire would help, but then the sprinklers started to spew water. Of course the tanks had filled, the city's pipes had still pressure on them ten days ago. Thea's mad rantings didn't frighten me much, but the zombies, advancing again, did.

I heard a dog yelping. And Thea screaming at the zombies to kill the dog. Lee's handgun firmly in my hand I descended the stairs.

Bart

The zombies acted weird. A few moments they tolled around, disoriented, then they advanced on us. We dived into the car, Hunter backed off, the zombies lost interest in us.

"My head feels strange," Marshall complained. "As if I suddenly don't have a hangover anymore."

I turned around in the front seat.

"How could you have a hangover? You aren't off age yet!" I accused him, after all I am a cop.

"I didn't have a hangover, sir!" Marshall defended himself. "It just felt as if a headache I had forgotten about was blown away right after the explosions!"

"Let him be," Hunter grumbled, when I opened my mouth, "the boy doesn't have a hangover and he doesn't have a forgotten headache either. He is fine. Goddamm!"

A military tank-truck blocked our way. Hunter had taken a path which led between the Knight and the Theater annex. Beside the tank were two cars, blocking the way over the grass beside the path.

Cursing Hunter put the car in reverse.

"Stop!" Marshall yelled. "Out, on that car (he pointed to the one parked against the wall of the Knight) and then through that window!"

A minute later we stood on the hood of the car, and saw another row of cars twenty meters behind this one, forming a zombie free enclosure between the Knight and the Annex.

"Door," pointed Hunter climbing down the hood on the other side.

Shrugging my shoulders I jumped down and ran to the door. It would be locked. It was not.

Mayhem filled our ears as we filed into the dark space before us. Gunshots, a madwoman screaming she would kill Ria's family in Holland, zombies grunting, feet shoveling, feet stumping on the main stairs, and a stench filled our noses.

Then a fire started, far ahead of us, showing the way. Seconds later we got a free shower and the fire was extinguished.

"YOUR FIRE WILL NOT PROTECT YOU NOW RIA ... JUST GIVE UP SO I CAN TORTURE YOU!!!"

Troy steadily made his way toward the screaming crazy woman and soon he could see her. Beside her he could see a group of zombies holding his struggling dog. They were not harming Anubis only restraining him and he was trying to bite them but they had him securely in hand. Just then the pup got ahold of Thea and bit her on the ankle. She let out a piercing shriek and looked down. As she raised her hand with the gun in it he fired twice and the zombies between him and her were blown away.

"Pup release," He called out and it did rushing back to his side. He smiled as he took aim at the wide eyed girl and began to pull the trigger. She dived into the stacks just as he fired but he heard her shriek. He turned to the zombies holding Anubis and changed to his pistol. Shooting them all in the head he was soon free and he ran over and woofed his pleasure.

"Yeah I wouldn't leave you buddy. Now let's go and get Cassie and forget about this crazy woman."

Wrath Of The Wolf

After awhile of directing the Kings defensive lines, overseeing repairs and zombie disposal duties. I felt an urgent tugging at my soul to be elsewhere, the lamp light reflecting on the windows took a familiar form. A memory of Kaitlyn came unbidden into my mind, we were back home watching a sunset before a storm. With a small gentle hand she held my cheek, Kaitlyn spoke with loving sincerity as she said ''They need you Cramer...go my love and do what you know is right.'' With that she was gone and I was in the wrong place.

Reloading my weapons as I barged out the Kings front door. ''Yer Troy's second ain't ye?'' He nodded confidently with a grim smile. ''Yer in charge till our folks get back got it?'' Slapping him on the shoulder I took off for Cassie's I talian Lamborghini. Skidding to a stop on the damp grass against it's door, jerk it open and shoehorn myself into the narrow seat. Muttering under my breath ''Damn Cassie..how ye git all that ass n tits in this thang?''

Flipping down the keys fell into my hands, jamming the key into the ignition turning it. With my booted foot on the accelerator the car screams to life, the powerful engine was sound was like a shot of adrenaline. ''Holy shit! No wonder the gal loves it...it's about to vibrate my balls off just revving up.''

Buckling the seatbelts tightening them down securely, fiddling around with all the new fangled gadgets. Let's just say it's like going from a Biplane to a F-22 Raptor, race mode, traction control, throttle response. European Electronic bullshit is all I had to say about it, if the car does everything for you why even drive one. Depressing the clutch pedal I slam the shifter into first, dumped the clutch and stomp the accelerator. Fishtailing in the the damp grass like a mofo before I could reign the beast in.

Gaining traction on the driveway the acceleration was instant, shifting into second I was pinned against the seat. The gate opened just in the nick of time, engine screaming tires squealing I entered the road broadside. Straightening the car out with a loud rebel yell, almost to the red line with each up shift, I literally tore pieces pavement from the road. ''Who needs electronic controls when you're a redneck!''

Getting the feel of the Lamborghini in the corners was nerve wracking, luckily the breaks and tires were up to temperature. The world whipped by outside the windows as the road back to the Knight was shortening by the minute. Taking the long straightaway at 205 miles per hour, the grin on my face turns grim with determination. Knowing that crazy bitch was going to get one hell of a rude awakening, I was well prepared for the damage she's going to experience by my hand.

Down shifting with hard breaking and cutting the corners, the Knight was in sight as there's only a mile to go. Zombies were lining each side of the streets, wind whipping along the car sent them falling like dominoes. I assumed Deacon must have eyes on me by now, probably through a high power scope on a BFG. (big fuckin gun) Time to woah this I talian bull the hell down son, this was said to nobody in particular.

Down shifting to second slowing down to 80 miles per hour, breaking hard the ass end of the car got squirrely. A gaggle of zombies were partially blocking the street, causing me to swerve abruptly losing control. Sending me spinning in a series of four 360's, before miraculously coming to a screeching halt. Unbuckling the seatbelts I opened the door piling out of the Lamborghini, staggering slightly from the dizziness of centrifugal force.

Clicking the safety of the AR-15 I went into battle mode, popping of head shots as I near the Knight entrance. Stealthy entering the burning building the moment the sprinklers came on, reaching up to pull my Braves cap down tight. The shrieking and insane cackle of laughter could only be Thea, three of her ''children'' as she calls them attacked. Taking the butt of my rifle I caved their heads in, green blood and brains partially splattering my camo. ''Aww...looky there...tsk tsk tsk. I just killed a bunch of yer god damned kids Thea! Yep...it's me Cramer bitch...time to put your ass down like a fuckin mad dog!''

Thea: "I'M A GOD and I'M BAT SHIT CRAZY!!"

Thea was a god!!! The old human’s just did not know it yet. Well … that would be their undoing. Thea got up from between the bookcases … organized her thoughts … first kill Troy … again.

“I’m A GOD … YOU STUPID AUSSIE” she screamed as she pushed on the massive rack of books. The zombies in this section pushed too and the huge thing fell over right on top of where Troy and his precious dogs had been. She stepped on the fallen bookcase, walking confidently across it … like she was walking over Troy’s dead body.

“NOW THE REST OF YOU WILL KNOW WHAT A GOD CAN DO!!!!” She screamed.

She directed a group of zombies to attack Officer Bart, Hunter and Marshall, who she had seen sneaking into the library. But this would not be a regular zombie attack. She had a zombie move a large garbage dumpster to block the door they came in. They were now trapped in the library. Then she had the zombies on the bottom floor hide in dark corners. The darkness down there and the water spray would make it hard to see. She had the zombies arm themselves with anything they could find. Metal pipes … knives … heavy chairs … etc. As soon as Bart, Hunter or Marshall turned the next corner … they would get an ugly surprise.

Then she directed all the zombies near Ria location to grab objects and start throwing them at Ria. “TIME TO DIE RIA …” Thea screamed

They all started to throw heavy books, lamps, chairs, all sorts of thing as Ria made her way down the stairs.

Next Thea mind switch to Deacon. He had almost caused her to lose her godship with that explosion. Deacon needed to die the most! Deacon was almost at the Library … but there might be just enough time to kill him before he got here. She directed zombies to get into cars along Deacon’s route and smash the cars into Deacon. She crackled insanely “YOU WILL BE RUN OVER … JUST LIKE YOU RAN OVER MY CHILDREN! DIE DEACON DIE!!” Thea screamed

Thea mind went to Daniel and Cassie. Hugging … on the third floor. IT MADE HER SICK! She tried to take over Daniel's mind. He still held the knife. A quick slab into Cassie’s back and it would be over. But Daniel blocked her attempt, she gave up in frustration.

“He is a god … AN EVIL GOD!” Thea screamed to herself “HE MUST DIE AND THAT CASSIE SLUT! She directed all the zombies on that level to attack those two. The zombies were also directed to get weapons.

Suddenly Thea attention was draw to Cramer coming up the stairs. When had he gotten here? No matter I will kill him myself!

Thea started to run into position, teh 9 mm in her hand. She was next to the huge windows in the front of the library near the quiet reading area. Shots rang out. She ducked away from them. Each time she ducked a nice hole would appear in the large glass window she was standing next to.

“YOU CAN’T KILL A GOD WITH A GUN!” Thea screamed totally unconcerned about being shot at.

Goddess, My Ass

Thea the crazy bitch just wouldn't shut the fuck up, it was pissing me off to the point I saw red. Zigzagging around zombies throwing everything they could get their dead hands on. Getting past those with several kill shots, taking the steps two at a time up the staircase as I reload. Finally reaching the top of the staircase she was now cornered, glaring with an insane fury. I'M A GODDESS! YOU CAN'T KILL WITH YOUR GUN CRAMER! STUPID HUMAN!

Clicking my AR-15 on fully automatic, lining the bitch up in the sights. Depressing the trigger the weapon rattles my shoulder, the hail of bullets caught her dead in the chest. Thea's body jerked like a bloody rag doll as she was hit, I steadily closed the distance between us backing her up. Her arms flailed wildly as each round recoiled Thea inevitably towards the window.

Blasted against the large stained glass window, falling over the window sill through the broken glass. Thea's finger was tight against the trigger, the large bore automatic firing in random directions. The statue of a wild duck with it's wingtips pointed upwards, still shrieking as she fell a sickening wet crunch was heard as Thea was impaled.

I walked up to the window to lean partially out over the sill, looking down to find the crazy bitch impaled through her heart. Spitting tobacco juice on her bloody bullet riddled corpse. ''Duck that ye crazy ass bitch!'' Turning to walk back downstairs I reloaded my AR-15, pulling the slide ready to fire I began taking zombies out. In a sing song voice I sang a familiar tune...''Ding dong the bitch is dead the wicked bitch is dead. Lighting a cigar with the zippo from a jacket pocket, puffing it as I mop up the remaining zombies upstairs.

Through the water raining down on me, zombies hurled things at me. That was a first. Before they only wanted to catch you alive to gobble big chunks of you down until you were dead. Now they threw things. They were only throwing them in my general direction though, aiming wasn't their fort, in fact those far in the back hit their comrades more often than that the things they were throwing at me, even came close to me. I made it down the stairs unharmed.

Thea was mad. Completely mad. Madder than everything I had read or heard about. Madder than Peter when he was in his most napoleonesque state.

"Ria!" A familiar voice from deep in the library. Bart! Bart was here. I lifted my hand and pulled the trigger. Zombies fell down. They still hadn't learned to cover themselves. It was almost too easy. Their only thought (if they were capable of thinking at all) was on throwing things at me.

"I am here, Bart!" I yelled over the noise. "I am fine. Thea is mad! Napoleon, I am afraid."

A new gun started rattling close by, at the door.

''Aww...looky there...tsk tsk tsk. I just killed a bunch of yer god damned kids Thea! Yep...it's me Cramer bitch...time to put your ass down like a fuckin mad dog!''

What was Cramer doing here? Why was he here? He should be at the King's, getting defense up again in case a new attack came.

“YOU CAN’T KILL A GOD WITH A GUN!” Thea shrieked.

In the middle of everything I burst out in a loud laugh.

"That is exactly why most 'gods' got killed by the people they trusted most."

I don't think anyone heard me, over the noise of gunshots from deep in the library, up in the library, in front of me, beside me. I continued taking down zombies who still threw things at me, until suddenly they stopped moving altogether.

''Ding dong the bitch is dead the wicked bitch is dead.'' Rang faintly at my ears. I took it to mean Cramer had killed Thea.

Those zombies still holding things let them drop, and they moved forward as one, hands reached out, ready to grab, mouths open, jaws making chewing movements. Just as they did when hunting someone down.

The spell seemed broken.

Now we just had to deadier them. I hoped back at the King's people were safe, or close to a safe place, because I supposed the truce was broken. Attack wouldn't be organized though, so their chances to survive were much higher than only hours ago.

I wondered how many zombies we got rid off today while pushing a new clip in my gun. Hundreds at the King's, a fifty to sixty inside the library until now. And that explosion before? Now we simply had to be careful no-one got wounded by a zombie until we killed the rest inside.

Time to organize us.

"Who is where?" I yelled at the top of my voice.

Deacon

Zombies is cars? Dafuk was this shit? Swerving just slightly to let the modified bumper push the lighter vehicles aside. Zombies stepped into the road brandishing wepons, but the armor plate took their assault with ease. More zombie gore left in my wake. I came to the barricade, angling the Hummer, I plowed into the first car, practically flipping it away, this did bring the Hummer to a jarring halt though.

Slipping from the seat, I drew a M4/M203 with a backpack filled with clips and grenades, at first the zombies just turned towards me, hefting an assortment of weapons, then they allowed the weapons to fall and came running at me, as hungry as they should be. Lifting the assault rifle, I unleashed death on them. I ran dry, squeezed the trigger on the grenade launcher and an HE round exploded among them, sending parts in all directions. Slipping the clip out, flipping it over and jamming the fresh one in, I advanced, firing at everything that moved.

I made it to the open door of the library, inside water cascaded down, zombies made their noises and shots rang out close to me was a few zombies and I dropped them, then Ria's voice sounded out, asking who was where. I reloaded the grenade launcher, replaced the clip and called out, "DEACON! FRONT ENTRANCE!"

Daniel

It became very awkward once Cassie began to speak. It ruined the mood of awesomeness and mystery I had hoped to create. I didn't really care, though; I still had a splitting headache, but at least my head didn't feel like it was going to burst. It was most awkward, however, when Cassie jumped out of the chair and hugged me fiercely. I didn't return her embrace; I just let her do all the work. For some odd reason, I found myself aroused by her boobs pressing against my chest. I felt an erection grow painfully, and I hoped she hadn't noticed. I didn't want her to think I was still attracted to her in anyway. Although I guess my demands of her taking off her shirt defeated the purpose of that.

Once Cassie loosened her grip around me and looked at my face, I took the time to put up some mental shields. I couldn't have the Voice or Thea enter my head again, and force me to do more damage than I already had. I felt some probing, most likely Thea trying to use me like the Voice had succeeded in doing mere moments ago. I fought her back, though, and kept her out of my mind.

Cassie's response to my demand was less than ideal. “I’ll make a deal with you … we get out of the library alive and I’ll give you a two hour lap dance … totally naked!” she reasoned with me. I couldn't ensure our survival, but I did have some incentive to at least put in the effort. Purely because I wanted to see her naked, I reasoned with myself. Not because I cared for her or anything like that.

All of a sudden the sprinklers went off; I wasn't even aware there had been a fire to begin with. The water soaked right through Cassie's shirt, effectively showing me her boobs as if her top hadn't even been there. She made a joke about it, and then we heard Thea screaming frantically; something about her going to kill Ria.

Cassie urged me to help her save Ria, and ran to the door leading to the stairwell. It was at that moment the zombies struck. They came in through the door, many of them carrying something heavy with which they would attempt to kill us with. Probably pound our heads open until brain matter poured out, and then devour our corpses until we were nothing but a few scraps of flesh and some broken bones.

Cassie backed away towards me. I had not moved at all; I had sensed the zombies and knew we were trapped. I grabbed Cassie and hugged her against me, her lovely tits once more pressing against me.

"Don't think this means you don't have to give me that lap dance," I told her, grinning, as I took control of the zombies myself.

It was a battle of wills, to see who was stronger; Thea or me. I am almost positive that is why Thea was too distracted to avoid Cramer. I knew he had killed her. His voice was unmistakable. Several shots rang out, many near-misses, until he finally shot her and she fell over the edge, being impaled by a statue. I immediately felt her death, and it was painful, but not nearly as so as when I had fought myself for control of my body. This felt like someone had punched me in the stomach; I felt winded, the air having left my lungs, but I recovered.

I quickly made sure to take control of the monsters that were in the room with us, to make sure they wouldn't attack us and kill us. After all, the only weapon at our disposal was my knife, and it wouldn't do much against several of them. Once I had done that, I became acutely aware of the fact that I was still holding on to Cassie, clutching her against me with one of my arms.

I quickly let go of her and stepped to the side, clearing my throat as I did so. There was an awkward silence before either of us spoke. "Thea is dead, by the way. Cramer killed her. I sensed her death, she is definitely gone this time," I said. Meanwhile I turned my back to her as I tried to hide my arousal. Although I hated her with all my mind, my body seemed to disagree.

Troy

I had taken off for the stairwell as soon as I had freed Anubis. Thea was just too crazy for me to deal with by myself and besides my objective was to save Cassie, not kill Thea. I noticed that the zombies were all concentrated towards the front of the room so I headed to the rear picking off the few gathered there and then began making my way back towards the stairs.

The job became easier when Thea called for them to go after the rest of the people in the library after pushing over the stacks I had been behind. She probably thought I was crushed under them. I made the stairwell and looked up. Nothing was coming down so I ran up to the landing and poked my head around. There were several zombies but they were heading towards the back of the building and strangely they were carrying weapons. I reloaded and rushed up the stairs. As I got to the top it was strange, it was like I didn't exist. All of them seemed to be converging on a single area and were ignoring me. Never one to waste an opportunity I started to blast them left and right, decimating the tightly packed ranks.

Even as I was shooting them they still did not turn around and attack me. It had to be Thea ordering them to go after Cassie and this Daniel guy. Well I wasn't complaining. As far as I could tell they hadn't got to her and as long as they didn't I was free to kill them. I had killed about three quarters of them when there was the faint sound of gunfire from below followed by a scream. Suddenly the zombies dropped their weapons and again became their usual selves. Damn I had hoped to get all of them before this occurred but still there was not that many left. I had spotted several good choke points where my shotgun could do maximum damage and I headed for one now. "Anubis,Pup, Seek. Find Cassie and protect. Go." The dogs took off towards where the zombies had been converging and I knew my guess had been right. Well I knew if I died now at least she would be protected.

I made it between two large stacks with a solid wall at the end. I had one whole bandolier of ammunition for the shotgun left, my pistols and then my knives. I didn't think they would push the stacks over now that no one was controlling them so they would just walk down the narrow aisle. "Come and get it you undead fucks. I'm not going out cheaply."

Deacon

Of course with the amount of noise coming from inside the building, it was bound to draw attention, I looked out of the door to see clusters of zombies approaching, never one to let go of a good oppurtune, I leveled the M4 on them as they struggled to get over the barricade. Select single fire, headshots...easier than shooting fish in a barrel, hell even easier than the county fair. I ran through two clips before they found that there was an entrance in front of the Hummer, I waited for them, "Come along little undead fuckers, daddy Deacon's got a surprise for you..."

I waited, just a few steps more...the HE grenade exloded between a group, sending parts flying in all directions, "HA! Take that!" I chambered a new grenade and switched back to the rifle, they came at varying speeds, but they stopped dead in their tracks when their brains exploded. "Yeah come on, you know you like it!" I kept on firing, killing more of the new arrivals, luckily I looked behind me, three zombies had somehow sneaked up on me. Or at least as good as they could sneak. Three shots, then turn back to the outside nd keep firing.

Ria

Deacon had answered my call, Bart followed immediately, telling they were four and in the back.

If others were still alive, I didn't know, I heard shooting from where Cramer was, so I thought he was alive, from above shots sounded too and I thought that might be Troy. I had no idea if Cassie and Daniel were okay, and Dent hadn't answered either.

There wasn't time to organize the defend anyway, zombies came at us from everywhere.

"Try to get to the main stairs!" I yelled and shot some zombies blocking my way to it.

Cassie ... thinking about the important stuff

This was the biggest moment in the history of the Eugene, Oregon, maybe of America, perhaps the world!! and all I could think about was Daniel’s woody! When we had made love on the roof of this Library, I remembered what a great cock he had. For the guys reading this … yes girls remember things like that.

With water still raining down, gunshots everywhere, Daniel telling me Thea was dead, the Zombies in the room somehow under the control of Daniel, and Daniel having a big noticeable bulge in his pants, I picked his bulge to talk about.

“Daniel … I’m flattered that you still like me” I said staring at the bulge in his pants. He turned his back to me trying to hide his arousal.

“I DON’T LIKE YOU” he said firmly

“Really … you must get erections when fighting zombies then” I joked

“I’m NOT fighting the zombies … I can control them” He explained.

That was what I had thought based upon Daniel's comments and whatever had been controlling him. But him actually saying it was still shocking. “That … that is amazing” I replied. “Can you make one of them turn off the fire sprinklers?” I ask.

He looked like he was concentrating and then the water stopped coming out of the ceiling. I heard the dogs and Troy’s voice nearby.

“Can you control all the zombies in the library?” I asked.

Daniel knew what I was getting at, and he stopped all the zombies in the library from attacking. The zombies just stood still like plants.

I yelled out the door to Troy and anyone else that could hear me “EVERYONE, DANIEL HAS CONTROL OF THE ZOMBIES … STOP SHOOTING THEM”

It was one of those rare moments in history where the people involved in making the history knew it was important. I probably should have said something profound … or at least quotable, but all I could think of saying was “Man … Daniel … you are going to get one hell of a lap dance!”

That was when my new boyfriend, Troy, walked into the room. My time could not have been worse ... and my face glowed bright red.

Troy

I had heard Cassie yelling out that Daniel had taken control of the zombies and considering they had stopped and were just standing there I had to believe her. I couldn't resist putting one more round into the packed group in front of me, clearing the way out, then I ran towards the room where Anubis and the pup were busy barking at. I motioned them to silence and walked in to hear her talking to a guy i took to be Daniel.

“Man … Daniel … you are going to get one hell of a lap dance!”

Well it seemed like she was safe then. The guy she was talking to seemed to like the idea as well considering the bulge in his pants. Here I thought I had to come rescue her from a deranged maniac and she was planning to give the guy a lap dance! "Anubis,Pup heel. Looks like Cassie has everything under control here. Lets go home boys, looks like we are not needed here."

I shouldered my shotgun and turned around and walked out, headed for the stairs. So much for rescuing the damsel in distress. Looks like she didn't want rescuing.

Cramer AKA Wolf

Hearing Deacon holler from the entrance I saw Troy enter a room, heading that way to catch up to him. Stepping just inside the doorway to see what he saw, Cassie all over Daniel sporting an obvious boner. Troys feelings were hurt, the deaf dumb and blind could've told you that.

Stepping out of the poor guys way and I just shook my head the fucked up situation. ''Damn Cassie...looks like ye screwed the pooch on this un.'' Tipping my cap to Daniel as he's clearly safe and sound, I'd never trusted the guy and with him controlling zombies? I sure as hell wasn't going to trust his ass now. ''So you can control zombies Daniel? Be sure ye keep em from killin us...or I'll personally put yer ass down like I did Thea.''

Turning on my heel I walk out the door, stepping over several deader zombies to reach the stairs. Instead of climbing over all the zombies that littered the staircase, I hop on the bannister and slide to the bottom with ease. Finally spotting Deacon I reach out for a fist bump with a grin. ''Sure do know how to make a entrance big man.''

Readjusting the AR-15 strap on my shoulder I look at the now unmoving zombies. ''I ain't gotta good feelin bout Daniel controlin these undead fuckers. Blowing cigar smoke from the corner of my mouth, step to take up a lookout position in the Knights front entrance. Seeing Ria I grin and give her a one finger salute off the bill of my cap. ''Hey Darlin.''

Bart had reached me, or I had reached him, as I had made it to the stairs safe and sound after the zombies stopped moving. The relieved look on his face soon changed into a grim one after he had looked me over from a distance. What had I done to earn such a look? I looked down and saw a wet coverall clinging to my body. A bit helplessly I looked at Bart. The sprinklers had got him too, his shirt clung to his chest too.

Luckily Cramer chose this moment to slide down the stairs. He seemed preoccupied with something, but threw me a smile and a greeting nonetheless before he headed straight towards Deacon.

"Troy, Cassie, Daniel, are you alright? Is anyone wounded? Lets go, folks. I don't like this place anymore at all."

I didn't realize how much I had missed a friendly face, especially that of Cramer, until he showed up. We bumped fists and stood there surveying the zombies, small craters holed the area in front of the Knight where the grenades had exploded, limbs, guts and bodies lay all around. It looked much worse than any Hollywood movie could make things look. I looked to Cramer as he talked about Daniel and zombies,

"Control? So that's how they managed to get so organized. You probably saw the explosion. There was a whole bunch of them, looked like a second attack wave. From the fires and massed bodies I saw further out, I reckoned that they had tried to attack the King winery." I looked back outside, "I just hope that guy doesn't pull one of his earlier stunts and throw an anger tantrum, allowing zombies to come at us. I gave him a talking to, next time..."

I let the rest go unsaid, Cramer knew, I could see it in his eyes, he understood, "Tell you what, let me go show you my second sweetheart and you can tell me what Derry's been up to." I stepped out of the door, warily making my way towards the Hummer, if one zombie made the wrong move they'd never make another move

Deacon & Wolf this could be a movie.

It was a relief seeing the big man was alive and still blowing shit up, listening to his response to my news about Daniel. It was obvious what he thought about it, being a man of few words his expression said it all. ''Second sweetheart?...Hell I ain't gotta first un yet and ye got two!'' Following Deacon out the door shoulder to shoulder I saw her.

''Damn...does she have a sister. The Hummer was huge, with massive tires, high ground clearance, roof turret with twin cannons. ''Where in the hell did ye find this thang son?'' Walking out into the sunlight, putting my dark wayfarers on, to give the fender of Deacon's ride a thump. ''Yer first loves doin just fine...missing yer ol' ass like crazy.

With a chuckle I slap my buddy on the back. ''Git Ria to let ye use her cell and call the gal.'' Thinking of how much I could use a nice woman, this world would be a little easier to cope with. Checking the clip in my AR-15 it had enough for now, slapping it back into the weapon ready to roll. ''I drove Cassie's Lamborghini to git here...mind givin a feller a lift?''

Deacon

I smiled at Cramer, "Tell you what, when we get to the Winery, you can have her. I had made a few adjustments to the weapon system and the diesel engine purrs like a kitten with a saucer of cream in front of a fire in the winter." I pulled open the door, placed the assault rifle/grenade launcher combo inside, followed by the backpack of ammunition. Then I hefted the .50 cal sniper rifle from the floor and drew it out of the hummer.

"Now THIS I will not share, she's my second sweetheart and so far untested. But with a two kilometer reach, I'm sure that we will have loads of fun." Grinning I held the rifle up for his inspection and then replaced it. "I don't need to phone my little red head, I'm gonna go see her." I eyed the zombies standing like statues, "I bet Daniel aint controlling every zombie, let's go get some zombies killed." I got in and waited for him to man the gatling gun, starting up the Hummer, I backed up, "accidentally" running over five zombies which I "didn't" see. Shifted into gear and drove off towards the winery, "Shoot any zombie that moves brother"

Cassie ... 6 month later

I drove up in my Lamborghini Veneno and slid into one of the many open parking slots. As I got out and walked towards the Starbucks, I felt his eyes on me. I had worn one of my sexy outfits. A low cut beige spaghetti strap dress with silver embroidery which did nothing to hide my big breasts. Way too fancy for a Starbucks, but it was a special day and I thought it was appropriate for the occasion.

As I walked into the coffee shop, I saw Troy sitting in one of the open booths. He looked flawless, as always. Ok, so love it blind and I just thought he looked prefect. He still looked amazing. Once I grab a seat, a zombie waitress came over to our table. It still freaked me out a bit, but I tried to act cool about it.

The zombie said nothing, but I knew it wanted my order.

"I'll have the special coffee of the day. LOTS of Whip cream on top" I told it.

The zombie waitress headed in the back to prepare the coffee.

I looked into Troy’s eyes and smiled.

“6 month ago … this is where we came for our first date” I reminded him.

He nodded.

“Hard to believe all the changes since then. I mean the battle against Thea … Daniel directing the zombies to help in the fall harvest … then expanding the idea to get the zombies of Eugene to help all the humans in Eugene. It has been amazing.” I said

Troy smiled and added “Don’t forget all the repair work required from Deacon’s little explosion and getting the power plant back on line. That was pretty hard.”

“Yes and you did a brilliant job with that!” I complimented him. “All the while still finding time for me.” I said. The zombie came back and delivered my coffee.

“Does it still bug you, Daniel can hear everything we are saying … through the zombie?” Troy asked me pointing to the zombie waitress that was walking away.

“No I’m over it. And I think Daniel … AND YOU … are over it too. Especially after I reminded both of you that I was a stripper … and I had given LOTS of men lap dances. The talk with Daniel seemed to really help him put everything in perspective. I still visit him 3 times a week and we still have a great time. It is interesting to talk to him … sometimes he thinks like a zombie and sometimes like a human. It weird but also interesting.” I said.

“And 6 month with me is that still fun?” Troy asked.

I took two of my fingers and dripped it in the coffee cream and sensually licked it off my two erect fingers like it was a … well you know exactly what it looked like.

“MMMM being with you is like being able to suck on my favorite Popsicle for 6 month and it shoots out cream every so often!” I said giggling.

“You know Cassie … you’re a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock … but I still like you!” He answered back shaking his head.

I felt like my wish from 6 month ago had come true. Humanity, at least in this part of the world had won. We did not have our old world back exactly … but we had enough of it back so we could live again. The zombies had also solved a few problems like global warming and humanity using up so many resources. We had new problems like containing the “blooming” of the zombies, but with Daniel on our side we were able to control the spores. The zombies themselves used mainly sunlight to feed themselves … they were very “plant” like it turns out. And they did not seem to mind being “slaves”. So all in all ... it was a happy end to the story ... well ... until i got the idea to visit Portland! What a mess that was.

[Was stupid and contradicted almost the entire storyline, so deleted. Sorry for being an idiot.]

Six months later ...

I sat behind my desk and sighed at the stack of paperwork on it. It was a good thing some people had formed a group dedicated to collecting rags and old paper and making new paper out off it because the rate we were using the supplies meant we would need it soon. Some even were working on how to make parchment. Here in Daniel's Household we used a blackboard to write down who was on what shift, when a trip to where would happen, who had kitchen duty and so on.

Most of the paperwork dealt with requests for Daniel to do this or that with he zombies. Other things were duplicates or triplicates of requests to or from the CC (City Council), the PDD (the Police/Defense Department), the SD (the Supplies Department), Energy, the HD (the Health Department), the CD (the Communications Department) or the SaSD (the School and Science Department) or announcements made by one of those, or other such important things. We had a nice bit of bureaucracy going on.

And of course we, the DH, added to it because we had to answer all those request and had some of our own too.

It was a very good thing we had the hospital up and running though, the power plant up and running, and all the other departments functioning and dealing with whatever came their way.

A loud ringing startled me and my hand moved towards the phone on my desk.

"DH, Ria speaking, hi"

"PDD, honey, it is me."

"Hi Bart, how are you?"

"Not as fine as when I left you this morning. How many extra men do you need on the next trip? Are you really sure you want to saddle the horses for that one?"

"Nice to hear! Yes. We can't keep burning gas like we did a few months ago, Bart. If it is not an emergency, we'll use horses. We caught enough of them, and we scavenged more than enough saddles and enough people are able to ride or have learned enough to stay in the saddle."

"I feel like I am reenacting when I get on a horse in full gear, Ria." His voice rung stern and disapproving in my ear, but I heard the chuckle beneath it.

"By the way, is your schedule still unchanged?"

"Yes," I answered a bit flabbergasted. He had asked me the same question this morning.

"Great. I booked us a room at the King's for Saturday. Bye, see you tonight."
