Recurring Dreams

I have that one and variations of it (I've forgotten my class schedule, I don't know where the classrooms are, etc etc) constantly.

I have the teeth-falling-out dream occasionally too.

Yeah, I'd forgotten about the exam one, too. Seems I'm prone to recurring forgetfulness.

Never had the teeth-falling-out dream, though.

I haven't had recurring dreams in quite a long time...which I think is good.

This is gonna sound like alot of huey balooey...but when i have recurring dreams...they tend to come true. And it kinda freaks me out...alot.

I haven't been dreaming alot lately...or least have not been able to remember them.

But last night I had the one of the most vivid and detailed dreams I have ever had. It would be a psychoanalysts heaven.

I woke up and forced myself to go over the dream again and again in my head (cuz I was too lazy to get up and find a pen and some paper). I later told Grace most of it.

After I get through this fucking lab audit, I need to put it down in words.

It's been haunting me all day.

I have one dream every now and again that is so x-rated I don't say what it's about. I will say that when do have it I tend to wake up having an orgasm.

I also have one every time I have surgery and since I haven't missed having it since I was 9 I imagine I'll have it this time too. Jest of it is I am in a hospital ward on a bed all tucked up. There is a large hole in the floor in the center of the room. The bed moves over the hole and starts to spin and spiral down never ending floor after floor of hospital wards. I see all the people in the beds as I spin. I usually wake up in the recovery room with a slight panic and it stops finally. I never get out of the spiraling. I just wake up.

Flying... but not for ages.

On Friday, I actually fell out of bed whilst escaping through a 'dream door' - it's like an ordinary door... except it isn't

I loved my recurring dreams... some of them anyway... but discovered that if I told someone about them.... I would never have them again.
or seem to have, anyway.

Gone forever but not forgotten...

"My Flubber Dream" The flying thing but mine were almost always basketball oriented, where flying and floating above the floor for as long as I desired was a distinct tactical advantage in the game... Talk about "hang time"!!!

"Deep Impact dream.... Really huge ocean waves coming at me....but not frightening, somehow. Then I saw the movie "deep impact" and remarked to someone that it was just like the dream I had been having for years.. but have not had it since.

Combat dreams of all kinds.... people trying to kill me..... still have those on
occasion... damn it.

Oh but erotic dreams.... I love those and wish I could have a TiVo implanted in my brain so I could replay them over and over again.....

....

Naturally, I dont dream. All of the stuff in my head are keepers.

"Some men see things as they are and say why.
I dream things that never were and say why not"

And some, apparently, don't dream at all, and I am not exactly surprised to learn you are one of the latter.

I study the brain, okay. There is no such thing as memory and I know why this is true. I also know why dreams are merely mind refuse. Smart people figured it out and put the information in books and journals. Freud was a dolt to champion the significance of dreams. They mean nuthin. Every 90 minutes the brain dumps mind-trash. A dream is the brains way of examining the garbage before the city hauls it away.

Oddly, I think you are substantially correct as to the "meaning" of dreams... I also been given to believe that dreams are a by-product of the brain re-indexing, if you will, and have no cosmic or freudian significance...

Having said that, I am not sure what your point is.... Are you telling me that I, and the other folks above, are liars and do not have re-occuring dreams?

Frankly, I am much more skeptical about your claim to not have dreams! Unless when you are done studying it, you forget to re-install it before sleeping... I guess that would explain it... And some of your posts, now that I think about it!

No. I just think its pointless since dreams mean nothing. Its like examining turds.

I'm sure everyone goes thru the dream process, because its a fact. But just because the garbage truck comes by the house doesnt mean you have anything to toss out. A better analogy is dry heaves.

Happened this morning. I was dreaming I wrestled a high-school acquaintance, then I was suddenly being taken advantage of, and then it was six in the morning and it still felt too damn good to stop and wake up all the way.
