Redesigning a Secretary

Despite the fact he had a microchip implanted in her brain, she was right, he could not know what she was thinking. He only knew what the chip itself knew, which was very little about what was actually in her brain at any given time, only a vague sense that it was slowly conforming to the inputs being given.

Jason swam laps for about 30 minutes, taking a short break after every 10 laps, his gaze travelling over to Candy when he did so, before resuming his workout. When he was done, he pulled himself out of the pool and walked over to the lounger that he had placed his towel on. He saw Candy laying on her stomache to tan her back and grinned.

"Such a nice afternoon. Great weather." He sat down and layed out under the sun to finish drying off. "I'm curious about something, Candy... if you don't want to answer, that's perfectly fine, this isn't a question from Boss to employee... but your name... stereotypically, it's usually seen as someone with a very particular personality and sense of style. I don't personally have anything wrong with either, but I'm curious if you've felt like it's held you back before."

He looked over at her. "Again, if you don't want to answer, don't worry about it."

Candy smiled. "What do you mean? You mean, the stereotype that Candy is just the name of easy valley girls?"

She hadn't really thought about it before; after all, she'd always just been Candy, and not many people had ever commented on her name. When the occasional guy made a joke about how she was "sweet," or something corny like that, she had always just rolled her eyes about it. Now that he brought it up, she wondered if guys DID think about her different because she was "candy."

Even this thought was enough to make her a little bit hornier. . . imagining guys checking her out and wanting to see what she "tasted" like. She tried to suppress a smile, but couldn't.

"No, I don't really think it has held me back any. After all, you hired me for this job, which is a pretty good starting place. . . and you didn't hire me because you think I'd taste sweet, did you?" she said, immediately blushing after the words came out of her mouth. "I'm SO sorry. That was totally inappropriate. I don't know why I said it."

"That would be the one, yes... though I've heard more crude ways of phrasing it as well."

He looked at her and could tell she was thinking by the look in her eyes. So he didn't interrupt her train of thought. When she smiled slightly, he knew that she liked the idea of being a stereotypical Candy. Good.

"Well I'm glad you don't feel like that stereotype has kept you from getting to where you want to be. And no, I did not hire you because I wanted to see if you tasted sweet." He chuckled at her outburst. "Don't worry about it. I asked the question, and it's perfectly natural to want to know if I was asking because I was influenced by the idea that you were a stereotypical Candy. There's no harm in that. No harm in asking the question or being like the stereotype. I mean, you aren't the only one that can be stereotyped. I'm a computer geek. I know what it's like to have people take one look at you and think they know exactly the type of person I am." He looked over at the pool and for a moment.

"And to be honest, I do embody that stereotype pretty well. Stereotypes aren't always a bad thing. Wouldn't you agree?"

Candy giggled nervously. After all, she hadn't thought about the stereotype much before, and she didn't know that she really embodied it much at all. Then again, she was a good looking woman. . . it wouldn't be too hard to try out the stereotype for size. . .

But what was she thinking? Just because her name had never caused her problems getting jobs, that didn't mean becoming a ditzy, sexed-up kind of 'Candy' wouldn't derail her career.

And yet, she could feel her body responding to the idea of it. . .

"No, they definitely aren't always a bad thing. But, well. . . do you think being seen that way would block off career options for me? I'm just worried people would think that I was only good at . . . one thing."

She tried for a moment to chase out the lustful images that were running through her head, but it wasn't working. And she had to admit, she wasn't trying TOO hard to chase them away. After all, they were pleasant.

Then, she lied, not really sure why she was saying it. "I've thought about being more of a 'Candy' quite a bit, but I'm afraid of what I might lose if I did."

Jason thought about it for a few moments before he answered. "Honestly, I can't say. On the one hand, what you do in your private life is your own business, so you shouldn't be overlooked because of it. and on the other, any company that would ask you to be something besides yourself doesn't deserve to have you."

When she told him that she had thought about it a lot he nodded his head. "Well, if you've thought about it and acted according to what you want, well then there's nothing more to say. Be who you are, Candy... And what you want to be. That's really all there is to it."

Of course, he knew that the desire to be the ditzy bimbo Candy would grow in her day by day. So he really wasn't risking much of his plans telling her to follow her own desires.

Candy lay there, thinking about what he had said. She wasn't sure why the idea was appealing to her when it had never crossed her mind before, but she did like the idea of guys looking at her lustfully. . . as long as they weren't creeps or anything.

She could feel her nipples hardening further. God, she had to think about something less sexy. As hard as she tried, her mind kept going back and forth between thoughts of how she could start to "embody" the typical Candy, and the handsome millionaire tanning beside her. She was afraid to even speak because her mind was fixating so much on the two things, neither of which were quite appropriate to talk about.

Candy reached behind her back, retying her bikini top. "I think it's high time to go try out that gym," she said with a smile. "Do you want to come?"

As she said that last sentence, her thoughts turned dirty. She hoped he didn't hear the slight emphasis she'd put on the word "come" before she could stop herself.

Jason could tell she was flustered from their talk about stereotypes and what her name usually meant in that regard. He was pleased by that, and the fact that she was trying to hide it. That meant that she was actually thinking about it. He nodded his head when she asked if he wanted to come to the gym with him. "I certainly will, but you go on ahead, I'm going to stay here for a few minutes and get a bit more sun."

He wondered if she would use the time that he was going to remain behind to get off again, or go to the gym and try to burn off the excess energy.

After twenty minutes or so he went back inside and got changed for a workout before heading to the gym. As he approached he tried to listen to see if she was in there working out.
