*drooling on the keyboard* Oh Rain you have such a lovely way with words :)

Oh hello gorgeous, I haven't checked in here for a while, thanks honey -- you know drooling is not good for your keyboard!

Hey, not sure if this question goes somewhere else, but I'm writing a story, and I'm trying to figure out what cup size a particular female character's breasts would be. Is there a website somewhere with visual representations of various cup sizes? My uhm... hands on experience, if you will, on the subject is relatively limited.

Every time I try to use google, I get websites about how to find plus-sizes bras. Interesting, granted, but not what I was looking for.

Any help is appreciated.
If you rely on cup-size to describe your characters your readers are going to be reminded of Penthouse letters that purport to be written by college sophomores. Instead, write about the look, feel, and sensations that come from contact with the breasts. Stick with what you know and just imagine a woman with heavier or lighter breasts, as needed for your story. But please, for the pleasure of your readers, avoid using cup sizes in your descriptions.

You attention whore ;)

It's the marching band following me around that gave it away, right? I knew I should have planned for something a bit more subtle.

This may sound silly, but I would be very interested in seeing a confirmed visual comparison...

In other words...
- Here's a few pictures of AA breasts.
- Here's a few pictures of A breasts.
- Here's a few pictures of B breasts.

...and so on, for reference.

No clothing preferably. Don't need to see anything other than the breasts. Basically, I'm talking a chart with 4 or so *confirmed* examples at each level (not speculation). If anyone ever does something like this, please let me know.

It would also be interesting to see additional photos of the same confirmed cleavage in various states of dress to demonstrate just how much physics wizardry is possible. Finally, one other addition that would be interesting would be to see a few well-known "celebrities" also listed as a common reference point...

Like I said, silly.... :)

as a general rule, the number part of the bra size relates to the size of a woman's torso. a small woman will therefore have a measurement of 34-36. there's a 32 that some manufacturers also use. an average sized woman will have a measurement of 36-38, whereas larger women will be in the 40+ range.

the cup sizes refer to the actual sizes of the breasts. generally ranging from A-DDD in conventional sizes, an a cup is pretty modest; b is a good size; c is ample; and d is really large. most sweaters are photographed using a c size model, in general. d and beyond is pretty darned big.

in general however, note in most cases, the difference b/n a 34c and 36b (for example) may be academic: many bras use the same physical pad for those 2 sizes. the same progression can be carried from b through d sizes.
