The problem isn’t whether Democrats or Republicans are in power; the problem is campaign finance. The cost of getting elected forces the most honorable people to compromise their values by accepting money from special interests.

Or have you read or heard a summary somewhere and drawn conclusions from that? Maybe even someone else's conclusions...?

He'll go on the stump, too, and Vette is probably right that he'll win the primary after all. But I'd love to see him go down. I'm sick of Mr. McCrankyPants. But I think talk radio and uh certain tv shows are more influential these days than local stumpin. At least for now.

He is 74. Would you really want someone that old representing you? He is getting a bit too old to keep playing the game.
