Fraud is fraud. It would seem to me that ALL elected officials would be concerned with anyone attempting to defraud the government and hence the taxpayer.

Of those 72,000 allegations this past year, if only half were to be found to have a basis in fact that represents $36 Million/mo. ($432 million/yr) that the taxpayer is being defrauded of. It doesn't have a fucking thing to do with politics, it has to do with criminal behavior.

The simplest form that most people would recognize is; "For just pennies a day." It's an attempt to disguise the true cost or impact of anything by attempting a mathematical abstraction. Another for is, "Only 10% of Muslims are radicals." It's a bullshit technique designed to prey on the ignorant.

Re. your second post. Of course that only makes sense if you can show us where the Republicans are attempting to block any investigation or legislation attempting to deal with Corporate fraud. Pure deflection in its rawest form.

Government gone wrong

Our government was created to guide our nation not to enrich our elected representives or the respective states they represent. I am sick and tired of these so-called representatives. I do not want to be President but rather dictator. My first act would be to send all of Congress home permanently and instruct them to find productive employment as their government pensions was being reevaluated. Next I would instruct the Supreme Court that they best stop creating law but do their duty at interpreting law. I would have a panel of legal experts reviewing every decision made by the Supreme Court since 1900 to determine if the decision was an interpretation of the law or creating law. If it was a creation of law them it would be struck down.
Next I would stop all foreign aid until a panel could review it as whether it serves humanitarian needs or military needs plus what was it being used for by the various governments. The money saved here would go to bring water, sewer, electricity, phone service and medical services to those areas of our own Nation that do not have these services. I would also make sure that all cities needing them had shelters for the homeless and for the abused.
Next our Nation has about 8,000 plus bridges that are in dire need of repair or have been condemned. I would make sure these are repaired or replaced.
Next I would have a panel of experts evaluate every government program to determine if it was even needed.
Next I would replace our current border protection along our Southern border. I would buy up all the land at fair market value from the Pacific Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico along our border to one mile North of the border. Then I would dig a trench a half mile wide in the center of the mile wide stretch. In essence this would be our own canal system. It would be patrolled by our present Border patrol, the Coast Guard and the Navy. Any ship, foreign or domestic that wanted to use this canal would have to be searched first or they would be turned away. Also anyone trying to enter our country illegally by any form of craft would be turned away. If these people did not comply their vessel would be sunk. The land between our Southern border would be mined plus venomous snakes would be installed in this area. No bridges would be built across the canal. Government owned or private ferries would be used for canal crossings. All private ferries would have a law enforcement contingent on board to prevent smuggling and illegal entry to our Nation.
Next all assault weapon and their ammunition sales to trades would be banned. Production and sales of assault weapons and their ammunition would be allow to the military and foreign governments only. All hand guns requiring a magazine/clip would be limited to a 7 bullet capacity except those sold to law enforcement.
The law would be changed ending the "anchor baby." If an illegal alien gave birth in this country the child would not receive American citizenship automatically. All children born into the US after 1900 who were born to illegal aliens would have to apply for American citizenship within 3 months or face deportation.
