Can't believe I just thought of this (thanks to Wizzie and his cone of silence).

SNL--the early years.

Sonora..
It's a put out by the BBC. I only see it on PBS. It's about a group of employies in a department store.
It's one of the few programs that will always have me laughing so hard tears come to my eyes.

Dark Shadows, I wanted to be Angelique so badly. Lara Parker kicked some serious ass!

Love this thread!

Ok, somebody please explain to me why you guys are picking Hogan's Heros, Bewitched and Friends (Monica and Rachel aren't THAT cute) and yet you don't add the Simpsons?
Don't you people remember...Let's all go to Flaming Moe's...The Stone Cutters Song...The Itchy and Scratchy Show?
Or my all time favorite episode A Fish Named Selma, when Selma marries Troy McClure and he stars in a remake of Land of the Apes the musical. I can still hear him singing "I hate every ape I see from chimpan-a to chimpan-z."

Or is it that I am just weird?

You know you are an "Are You Being Served" fan when you read this thread and went over and put a video of it in.

You know you are a hopeless fan if you can tell which episode it is just by the opening scene...

and the final clincher that you watch the show a tad too much...

you have seriously wondered how you would look with any of the various "Mrs. Slocum" hairdos.

Dark Shadows, definitely. And since we've included the Simpsons, how about some more cartoons?

Bullwinkle and Rocky
George of the Jungle

Oh, yes....and when it gets to reruns...

Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Yum. :)

I haven't thought about a Mrs. Slocum hairdo, but I bet I could hit Mrs. Slocum's pussy right on the nose with a sardine through her mailslot <wishing I could move like Mr. Humphrey, sigh>.

Hi bobtoad. "Dark Shadow's was a gothic soap opera that originally aired back in the mid 60's. I use to run home from school to watch it when I was in grade school. It was set in Collinsport, Maine & revolved around the Collins Family. The main character was Barnabas Collins, a vampire. It is now shown on the Sci Fi network, but I am not sure when, they keep changing their program listings. It has special effects that were cutting edge at the time-lol-creepy musice & some wonderful actors. There were lots of different story lines, with the actors playing several different characters in different time from the 1700's to the present (1966, if I remember right). It is my favorite tv show of all time. They also made a few movies that scared me to pieces when I was a kid. If you get Sci Fi channel, check it out, it is a hoot.

teresafannin,

thank you very much sounds likes a serious version of the adams family or the munsters. on a sad note i may never see it though i want to now casue i dont ge the sci-fi channel :-(

I have seen a number of people put The Simpsons on their list of favorite shows. Personally I think The Simpsons is one of the worst shows ever aired. About all I've seen worse are Bevis and Butthead, and South Park.

Hi bobtoad, I think that quite a few of the Dark Shadows episodes are available on video. When I watch the show now, I have to laugh at myself, that show gave me nightmares when I was a kid-lol. Check at video places like Blockbuster or Suncoast Video if you have those stores in Canada, it is a blast to watch those old shows.

teresafannin,

yes we do have blockbuster but i live so far out in the country its an hour & a half drive to the nearest blockbuster, but, i got friend that live in the city ill get them to rent and reproduce them. kinda getting that warm and gooey feeling all over.

(sob..gasp) Oh Skibum, how can I have a crush on someone who doesn't like the Simpsons? Have you ever really watched it? You have to get past all the Bart and Homer shtick to see how great it is.
See it is me, I am weird...

I chose Dark Shadows not only because it was good, but because it's a soap (serial), and if I'm only allowed to watch reruns of one thing I'm going to pick something that has, like, a BILLION episodes.
