Rescue

Logan looked down to Zarl. "Any way that doesn't involve falling and possibly getting missed." He smiled kind of. "Maybe the lowering down idea would be good."

"But we're going to have to hurry I can't hold on like this forever." In fact he was already finding it hard to hang in the position he was in, it was almost as if he was touching his toes but hanging upside down.

As it was right now he had a good hold on the rope so that it wasn't cutting off the circulation in his ankle.

Then again he could shift forms and slip out of the rope, but he wasn't exactly sure what he could change to and his Unicorm form was out of the question. He knew of only two other things he could change to, but neither of them had wings.

Logan figured it would be better to wait until he could be lowered down.

Hotaru: "I'll try and untie him.. "

- Hotaru looked up the tree, and looked at some of the branches which were adajent against the bark... -

Hotaru: "I can climb up the tree.. "

Bunny: "Well thats a stupid idea, he will fall.... help us make a net with our arms to catch him... "

Hotaru: "Well.. ok.. "

- Hotaru grabbed Bunny's one hand, while Bunny and Hotaru had one free hand for Zarl... and Tamra, if she chose to help -

Bunny: 'The three of us should be able to catch him no problem. as long as he will trust us"

Tamra moved over to the group and helped form the net.

"Well I guess this is our best plan of action. We should be able to stop him"

She then looked up, praying they could catch him.

Logan looked down to where they were gathering under him. "Well guys if you want to catch me...it'd be easier if I was smaller."

He thought about it for a minute."If someone would grab the shirt from my pack and spread it out between you, that way you can catch me and my clothes."

After the shirt was retrieved and spread between them.. he thought what would be best to be easy enough for them to catch.

"Ok I'm going to shift and that should release my foot from this snare. Don't worry you're not going to have to catch a unicorn." He smiled.

He then kept hold of the rope securing his ankle and pictured in his mind what he wanted to do. Within moments, he shifted and dropped from the snare.

The group holding the shirt spread between them caught him, his clothes and sword. Within moments a furry little brown ferret head popped out of the pile of clothes.

Logan looked to Hotaru. "Well that was easier than I thought."

Dreant Firebane

Dreant watched from the adjoining tree branch, the tree just opposite, with a smirk.

sure, if things went wrong, this guy could be seriously hurt,but this was still funny none the less.

Hotaru: "Awww! He is sooo cute!!"

- Hotaru snatched the ferret up and hugged him close to her chest, rubbing her head against the top of his.. -

Hotaru: "Can I keep him??"

- Bunny chuckled -

Bunny: "Wouldn't you prefer him in human form sis?"

No sooner than Logan had landed in his shirt and peeked out from his pile of clothes, he was scooped up and hugged close by Hotaru.

He looked to Bunny at her question to Hotaru. Wondering what Horatu's response would be, but right now being hugged close to her like this was perfectly fine with him.

"Hotaru.. I could stay this way awhile if you want me to." He really didn't care if she did want him to stay as a ferret if it meant he could be close to her.

Zarl, of the Macrai-Itoche

Zarl gathered Logan's things together, making a nice little bundle, and put them into Logan's pack, which he picked up, doubting that a ferret would be able to drag it along. The catching option had definitely been less work. He moved back to Bunny, using his wing to shield her from the rain again.

"Oh yes, who doesn't love a small, wet ferret? So, what's the plan? Find shelter and wait the storm out, or continue on our way?"

Lightning flashed across the sky, and thunder rolled. And still the rain beat down in little pitter-patters.

- Hotaru placed Logan on the ground -

Hotaru: "I think I like you in human form Logan.. "

- Bunny wrapped her arms around Zarl's waist, her eyes looking up at the rain... -

Bunny: "The rain should clear up soon, I think we should worry about getting out of the forest as quickly as possible"

Logan looked up to Hotaru. "It might be better if I change."

He turned and looked to Zarl who was now holding his pack. "I need to step into the trees to change. I don't think it would be appropriate to change here in front of everyone. So if you could toss me my pack after I change, that'd be great."

He trotted off and into the tree line. He went through the process of changing back to his human form.

"Ok Zarl, if you would just toss my pack here. I'll get dressed and be right out." After Zarl tossed him his things, he dressed and then stepped back out of the trees to rejoin the group.

"Alright, maybe we should move on and get through here as quickly as possible, maybe the rain will stop soon."

Tamra

As Logan comes out she looks to him and smiles.

"I'm gonna have to watch that one of these days."

She then moves up to Hotaru.

"Not to get a view though. It'd be a nice bonus but I wouldn't want to step on your toes."

Levaste

He watches the commotion, watching and listening to the group.

"Oh if only you would step in Tamra, it'd keep my precious safe from impurity. And Logan can consider himself as good as dead if he so chooses to pursue her. Perhaps it'd be best to send more people to "watch" them."

He then turns and calls out to his servant.

"I want you to send more scouts and troops to watch them. I want the others to be taken out if Logan so much as lays a hand on Hotaru in a sexual manner. So be sure there's enough men to do that."

He nods and the servant runs off, making his masters wish so as Levaste looks back to his orb, keeping tabs on their movements.

"Not to get a view though. It'd be a nice bonus but I wouldn't want to step on your toes."

- Hotaru blushed, Bunny giggled.... -

Bunny: "Oh I wouldn't worry too much, even if Hotaru likes Logan in that way she will never admit it"

- Hotaru looked at Bunny then at Logan, knowing that she was right...

Bunny smiled as the rain finally began to stop, but the remaining water droplets had left a sparkling shine amongst the tree branches and leaves....

It made Hotaru smile softly as they began walking again.....

Bunny looked up at Logan and smiled thoughtfully, hopefully there wouldn't be any more... interruptions.... -

- ... hopefully...

.... as a few pairs of beady little eyes watched the group from the shrubs.. -

Logan saw Hotaru blush at Tamra's comment and heard Bunny's response to Tamra, "Oh I wouldn't worry too much, even if Hotaru likes Logan in that way she will never admit it"

He looked to Hotaru. "It's alright, don't let them embarrass you."

He smiled slightly, he knew that she probably wouldn't either, he would hope that she would, but there were other pressing matters at hand. He wanted to help her get her father back. His thoughts drifted again as they walked. He really wanted to know about what Lavaste had said, but then again he felt he lived this long without knowing.

It was good that the rain had stopped, it even seemed to warm up some as well.

He would hope that in time if Hotaru really did like him she would be able to say it. Maybe in time he would say it to her. He did not really know why he felt drawn to her, but he didn't mind, infact he liked the idea of telling her that he thought in time maybe they could be more than traveling companions... but that would come in time...hopefully.

Tamra

She follows along with them, watching the surroundings, spotting a few eyes as well, but just watching.

"You shouldn't be embarrased Hotaru. It's a very natural thing for your panties to get wet while thinking of a hot guy."

She smiles, purposely prodding her embarrasment.

Dreant Firebane

Dreant frowned, he had heard other creatures, and over his years of time in the wild, he could guess there size, and he KNEW that there were at least a couple squirrels in the group.

soaring out of the air, rustling through the branches, he dove, caught two of them, and rusghed off into the bushes. in his bloody rage, he spent no time covering up his presence.

- Bunny burst into laughter as Hotaru found herself staring at the ground...

But in Hotaru's embrassement.. she also saw the trail left by Dreant... and the smell.. and the fact he just scooped up the 'two beady little eyed' creatures... -

Hotaru: "Um... guys... did you know there is a rather.. um.. large creature in our midsts?"

Logan looked to Tamra and he even blushed slightly as Bunny started laughing.

He looked to Hotaru and noticed she was truly embarrassed by Tamra and Bunny’s teasing.

He was about to speak when Hotaru spoke up. "Um... guys... did you know there is a rather.. um.. large creature in our midst?"

He placed a hand on his sword and looked around, trying to spot what creature she may be talking about.

Zarl, of the Macrai-Itoche

He kept his wings spread behind himself after the rain had stopped. They were soaked, but the rest of him was very dry. He looked over where the odd squirrel-man was attacking a few rodents.

"Oh, that thing? It's a halfbreed. Sad things. Some monsters can breed outside their own species and the results are usually along those lines. Seems kind of harmless."

He moved behind the others, and took to shaking the water from his wings. "So, what's after the forest? A swamp, maybe?"

"Actually.."

- Hotaru looked at Zarl -

"Just open field.. which we should be approaching right about... now.."

- And just as said, about a few feet away..

... plain, open... field... -

Logan looked about as they stepped from the tree line into the field. "Well this should be easy enough to get across."

He didn't see anything that could probably cause trouble in the field. "Maybe we can get across here quickly, find a place to set up camp and dry everything out?"

He looked to Hotaru and the others..

Tamra

She looks around.

"Hey peace and quiet. That's a first so far I think"

She smiles and moves over to Hotaru.

"I'd be careful though, you never know what's lurking out there."

She then moves with the group as they head across the field.

He laughs evily watching them move to the open plain.

"You don't know how right you are my dear little elf. And my dear brother. You should know nothing is quite so easy anymore. Since you left that woman's teat a few days ago."

He smiles and starts to cast a spell, energy glowing from his body.

"Levante o undead."

And with that a large ball of energy flies from his body, flying across the land.

The travelling group start to see a bright glow on the hoizon, and then a ball of light hit the middle of the field.

Zarl, of the Macrai-Itoche

He stepped into the field, spreading his wings and soaking up the sun. He closed his eyes. He remembered something, and smiled, he opened his eyes, checking the height of the grass.

"Well, it look safe enough, but it doesn't offer much cover."

He looked at the others, and then the weird squirrel-man.

"Okay,.....Let's,.....go?"

Dreant Firebane

Dreant grimaced, he was in a tree again, but now a couple people were staring at him.

he dropped from the tree and watched them, again following behind slowly.

Logan figured he might as well lead this little group across the field, he took a few steps forward.

Suddenly it seemed as if the sky lit up in front of them, he stopped just as a large ball of light hit the ground in the middle of the field..

"Guys, this doesn't look good." He drew his sword as he waited to see what the results of the ball of light would bring.

(as i bite my lip.. ouch!!)

- Hotaru's eyes widened as she saw that ball of light.. could it be? They were all in terrible danger... -

Bunny: "seems we are going to have be prepared here... "

Hotaru: "We all must be prepared!!"

- Hotaru, even though she didn't really have much powers she knew off.. eased into a defensive stance.. while Bunny, pulled out two daggers, preparing for the battle ahead... -
