His breathing began to even out, and his heart began beating normally again. His chest moved with his breath, and his eyes remained closed. Although his body was now managing to fend for itself, little else was going on.
His brain was in a kind of stasis. His mind had shut down with the release of power, but there was nothing to bring it back up. A shock to the system would work best, but he had no way to convey what he needed, as he'd had no way during the attack.
And so he remained. His eyes closed, and his breathing even, he simply lay there. His mind closed off, he had no idea what the others were saying, or how far off they were from being able to help him. They couldn't grip the problem he had faced and was now facing, and so all was left up to chance.
