I came by Syracuse this summer. Had gone to the Glimmerglass festival and Cooperstown (yes, I love opera and baseball) and took a detour to my old homeplaces...Syracuse, Rochester had me as a teen.

Enjoy Upstate as frequently as you can, Ari. She's a beauty. The Adirondacks are enough to break any man's heart, particularly if you've fine company of the feminine persuasion with you.

I swear if I've no sweet, lissome little kitten to fuck a few dozen times properly each summer amidst those hills and trees... my summer is doomed to disappointment.

We have a love/hate relationship. On the one hand, I miss out on a lot. On the other hand, the summers are incredible. It's pretty chilly over here right now, which I can't say really bothers me.

I saw snow for the first time in my life last month. It was probably one of the best things I've ever done.

Ari, Ice, the "Ice Bowl Game", or 1967 NFL championship, was played in -17 degree weather between The Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys. Green Bay won at the end of the game on a Quarterback sneak by Bart Starr behind the block of Gerry Kramer. I thought lady Kit would tell you but most Dallas fans have amnesia about it.

Bella, I'm thinking of retiring to an island. Put a candle in the window.

The snow never came...

As a NewEnglander/Upstate New Yorker from birth to Navy, I do miss snow for about a month each year.

Bella I wouldn't complain...miss a lot hah!...Try living in the rural bible belt for awhile.

Global warming... think about it.

So, a pleasant day ahead, too cold to do much outside, a nice fire inside and Ricks only a key click away.

When Mike Tyson was in his prime, I honestly believe there hasn't been a better fighter on earth.

Ali had better feet, but all Tyson had to do was land -1- right and the fight would be over. And what made Tyson so dangerous was how willing he was to bust someone up inside, and -then- go for the knock out.

I think the fight goes a strong seven rounds, but eventually Ali is so busted up in the middle he drops his hands one too many times, Tyson catches him and puts his lights out.
