RIP Keith D.

I think everyone that ran into Keith will miss him. I keep seeing old posts of his and Tex's and Ogg's here and there, and half-expecting to see them post something new....ah, well, time catches up with everyone, but Keith, Tex and Ogg will be missed by many of us for a long time. Maionaigh too - I know many of you didn't interact with him much but he was another that I miss very much.
I think you can put Sam Scribble on the list, too.

Yes, I used to chat with him off and on but haven't heard from him for quite a while and no response to any emails. I know he said he had health issues and not to be surprised, but another old friend I will miss.

Someone reported Sam's death about a year ago. I can't recall who it was, but someone who knew him behind the scenes.

SR and I had a lot of mutual respect for each other. He was a huge proponent of the Chicago Manual of Style, and I would often give him grief.

RIP SR/Kieth

When I first came here I was 40 and I remember being surprised that a lot of the crowd here was either around my age or much older. I'm not sure why, but I had the notion it would be a younger crowd here. The issue with that is all these years later, there are fewer and fewer left of the original gang here when I came along.

Even now, although we do have some younger people popping up, I'd still put the median age at forty+

I'll just mention again that Zeb Carter has also been MIA for some time. I know he's in his seventies and lost his wife a couple of years ago. I don't have a great feeling about him either.

I just saw this thread. I never had problems with him, all the years I've been here, I had gotten used to him. I admit the arguments between him and Lovecraft were always some of the most comical stuff on here.

I think it was him around the time he stopped using sr71pilot, that said it was good to have multiple pen names, so it didn't look like you were flooding the market.

I hope he is okay, he published a story in August 24’. He was very helpful to me several years ago navigating something on the site. That was probably my only interaction with him, but I really appreciated it at the time and never forgot.
