Rise of Souls - IC

Even he was perceptive enough to notice that she wasn't real big on the idea of Slayers, despite the fact that they seemed to pose little threat to her. "Well that's a bit dissapointing, but basically in line with what the scientist have been saying. Only way to fight a monster is. . ."

Well if that wasn't the most sensitive thing that he'd ever almost said. "I know you can outrun me, I'm just asking you not to. I would like to see you move again, you're beautiful." He said, he wasn't quite sure where she was leading him, he was confident that she worked alone so he wasn't worried about a trap. "So can you sense others of your kind? I mean not when they are in the room, I'm sure you can smell them, or not hear their heartbeat or something like that, but can you just tell me if there are others here?"

"You know there is something that I've been curious about. I've studied vampires for years, they. . .you, are human. I mean you still love, and fear and hate. I've seen you breathing, do vampires panic? Like if I hold you underwater do you panic even though you can't drown?"

Eliza raised an eyebrow at his remarks, but she decided to let it slide. Her spirit was now consciously guiding her actions, and she was almost 'softer' than she was before.

"I can sense powerful Vampires, sure. The weaker ones, ones that have just been turned, haven't yet fully tapped into their potential yet. That comes with age and practice," Eliza said.

When Eliza was still a demonic creature without a soul she had often wondered whether tasting the flesh of the Slayer had really given her an edge of the others.

Now she would probably never know.

"It's not like a beacon or anything. We just... know," she added. It was very difficult to explain. It was just one of those things that you recognize and then accept.

"And I'm not human anymore. You'll need to accept that. We still convey the same emotional responses, but we're no longer the same. I still bleed, still think, feel, taste... so I suppose if you forced me under water chances are I would thrash around for a bit and try to get away. I'd prefer not having water fill my lungs."

Eliza stopped walking and she folded her arms, smiling.

"Why? You thinking about trying your little experiment on me? Want to dominate me?" she asked, moving closer.

"You want to push my limits?" she asked, practically whispering into his ear.

But she didn't do anything further than that. She stepped back and continued walking.

"Why? You thinking about trying your little experiment on me? Want to dominate me?" she asked, moving closer. "You want to push my limits?" she asked, practically whispering into his ear.

He felt his heart skip a beat as she got close enough to touch, he could smell her and feel her breath as she spoke crossing over his ear. Part of him was panicked. It was a good thing that she couldn't read minds because if she could she'd know he was torn between leaning in to kiss her and pushing the shock collar before she snapped his neck.

In the end he just froze until she stepped away, even then he stayed stuck in place for a minute. "Dominate you? I won't lie Eliza, the idea of you on your knees. . .is a pleasant one. I'm not sure I want to push your limits too much though, I don't really want you pushing back just yet."

Typical male response.

But what did she expect, given her outfit and the way her body had been molded? She was absolutely gorgeous, and she knew it too.

"Well you can sleep easy tonight. I won't be 'pushing' back any harder than I already am. I would like to see 1,000," she remarked.

That was still a ways off, and very few Vampires ever even reached six hundred. There was of course The Master, but he was just a legend, even in the elite circles.

Eliza stopped walking as they approached what appeared to be a park. The leaves in the trees rustled about, and she could sense that somewhat wasn't exactly right.

"Wait..." she said, letting Jermaine know that something was amiss.

"LEt me rephrase that, feel free to press against me as as much as you li-"

"Wait..."

Jermaine instantly took a half step back his eyes quickly searching the park, the trees, the rooftops. "Shit." Part of him was sure that she was jerking him around, something to get him off balance so she could kill him and escape. It wasn't working though, if she so much as moved toward him he was going to push the button and drop her like a bad habit.

"What is it?" He finally hissed, at her.

A fairly young looking woman with flowing white hair began walking down a small path in the middle of a park. It was dark out, but she practically carried with her the aire of someone who wasn't really afraid of anything. What was there to be afraid of?

Serenity brushed aside some of her hair and tucked it behind her ears as she sat down on a bench. She toyed with the necklace around her neck and looked around her.

The park was practically empty.

She had already ensared one unlucky man the other night, and she hoped to repeat her luck this night. Out of the corner of her eye she saw to figures approach the park entrance: a young looking woman with fiery red hair and an adult male.

Serenity could sense that the female wasn't human, but she couldn't really tell what sort of creature she was.

"Hmm..." Serenity thought to herself. Should she try playing the innocent routine? Or something a bit more dramatic? Either way she wanted to try and test her luck with these two.

Her Master would definitely be pleased with these two offerings, of that she was sure.

Eliza held up a hand as if to signal to Jermaine that they were no longer alone.

"Someone's here," she said simply.

They had to be in the park. This was one of those moments that you just knew someone had to be around, and they weren't some common-rate demon.

Nor was it the Slayer.

Eliza felt her nerves tensing up, and yet the longer she waited the more uneasy she became.

"Just... be careful," she remarked, walking forward and into the park.

Serenity came walking forward, her feet stepping lightly against the ground. She was beginning to doubt that playing innocent wouldn't really work against another demon, as it was tantamount to her walking around in her normal form.

"Hello. Please don't be alarmed, I only want to talk," Serenity said as she approached the young woman and the man standing next to her.

Hopefully this little gamble would work.

"Becareful? Wow if I didn't know better I'd think you cared." He didn't wait for her to respond to the quip though instead he pulled out his cell phone and pushed a button. "Get a team on standby."

The white haired woman approaching was cause for alarm though, if Eliza thought she was special that meant she was something more than human and the first guess was that she was another vamp, which honestly was more than he could handle on his own and he wasn't sure if Eliza would help him, she couldn't kill him, there wasn't much stopping her from stepping back and watching him get killed.

For the moment he just stepped forward enough to get a better view of her, he had the same feeling children get when adults are speaking though and remained quiet letting Eliza take the lead.

"Define powerful,"

Luke heard that and grinned to himself. He couldn't resist what he was about to do. He dropped down about thirty feet to land about forty feet away. "You ask how powerful?" His voice was baritone and resonded with a polished Scottich accent. "Powerful enough for your watcher to know me well. Very well actually, ask him what happened to his last slayer and who turned her....yes thats right. Turned! Ah, but you didnt realize that did you? It is the ultimate irony. The hunter becomes the prey and is taken.

Then again, I'm sure your Watcher can tell you all about it. I can tell you this though, with as beautiful a neck as you have; you might want to take care that I or my kind don't to ravish it. "

Luke winked as he leapt up to a tree branch and looked at the Watcher who stood a little ways away. He nodded slightly and sprang up onto the wall before dropping something golden but stain with blood. He had dropped a golden chain that had belonged to the previous Slayer that the Watcher had guided. Pausing for a moment, Luke looked down at the Slayer as he thought to himself. *This one will be fun to hunt, a lot of fun. * With that one thought, Luke sprang into the night to hunt again.

When Serenity came walking forward Eliza could instantly tell that was not human. Actually Eliza pretty much knew the minute they approached the park and she had sensed her coming. She folded her arms, not paranoid but cautious around the demonic entity.

"What if we don't like talking? I prefer singing sometimes," Eliza said sarcastically.

She heard Jermaine pull out his phone and push a few buttons, alerting some of his teams squad members. For some reason she knew that they wouldn't be able to do much of anything.

Eliza didn't exactly recognize Serenity, but she sensed that she served a higher purpose... whatever that meant.

"So what do you want? I don't like playing guessing games," Eliza said. She was fairly confident that in a one-on-one fight she could easily take on this lesser demon.

"I suppose we can start with something simple, like what you're name is?" Jermaine asked as he slipped the radio back onto his hip. He was pretty sure that this wasn't going to turn into a fight, not too quickly at any rate. She wasn't a friend of Eliza's either which was good. Well it could easily be worse.

Doesn't really seem like it, but Tears just graduated and it was really mostly her and me back and forth. To bad I REALLY like Jermaine.

OOC: sorry guys I've been meaning to get in a new post, I'll PM Mystic and see if she's still interested. Otherwise I can probably try recruiting more players.

OOC: Welcome back and take your time. Besides I'd rather keep the Dark Tower from stalling than jar this one loose, both if possible but if I had to choose, being drunk is a blast.

OOC: He is, and messing up klic's name EVERY time is fun, then having him jar loose for a moment and have to explain something because everybdoy is being irrational.

Jermaine is a blast too, the whole flirting with something that youre terrified of is fun. Every time Eliza twitche's he's half between oh my god look at her tits, and oh my god I'm gonna fucking die.
