John and I divorced about two years ago. We had two girls together but all we seemed to do was fight. We cut our loses and moved on with our life. John has a new woman in his life and I have a new man. But even despite the divorce, we remained friends of sorts.
A mutual friend was having a birthday party so instead of us driving separately, we decided to drive together. I had an extra martini at the party so I'm a tad bit tipsy on the ride home.
