Rock (closed for Ruelle)

Felia rolled her eyes. "You have nothing worth taking," she replied easily, not meaning to be an insult. But seriously, it was true. (While he was gone, she rifled through his things. Nothing of value to her.)

"It is a bit cold though isn't it. I'd do the gentlemanly thing and offer you my jacket, but I kind of didn't bring one, so I think you are on your own there." I shrug and walk on for a little in the cold. "How about a cab?"

"It's right-"

He whistled loudly before she could finish her response. Wincing, she rubbed her ears carefully. Her eyes followed the taxie for a moment, then her foot moved and hit him in the shins. "That's for assuming I even wanted your jacket."

"Me lady," he mocked and moved his hand to help her inside.

Instead of playing the lady, she leapt inside, actually sliding to the otherside. She gave him a cheeky smile as he moved next to her.

"Mini golf, my good man," he barked and snuggled against the seats.

"Which one?"

"The old one," she answered easily.

The cab began to move. Felia closed her eyes and enjoyed the warm feeling. "So tell me about this frankenman that you are going to create. Is this some thing about chicks digging guys with scars?"

He ruined it. She turned and gave him a sound look. "Don't insult them," she said easily. "Scars? Attracted too? Not at all. Not me at least. They were good in-"

"Oh wait, I know what it is. This is about creating a guy who is ummm ... how do I put this ... in the right 'proportions' isn't it?!" he asked spinning out the word proportions for effect. She winced as he slapped her playfully on the arm "'felia, I had no idea you were that shallow!!"

Ofelia looked at the cab driver. "He's paying. Overcharge," she said, then looked back at Dom. "I could care less for the proportions. If they suck at it, I'm leaving." She smiled sweetly and patted the cab driver as a joke. "Right Billy?"

"Totally."

"See?"

"By the way, my name is not Billy."

"Tonight it is."

"Right..." the driver slowed the cab to a stop. "We're here." He looked over at Dom. "If you're with her... man, I feel for you."

Ofelia left the car, blowing them both a kiss. "I'll get us the clubs and balls. It's real fun here."

"Right. We're here ... If you're with her... man, I feel for you."

"I'll get us the clubs and balls. It's real fun here."

I turn to the cab driver as I rifle through a wad of cash "We're not together if that's what you were implying. She's just an old friend of the family's. But I appreciate the sympathy all the same."

"Hey man ... I know women like that ... they'll take you for all you're worth."

"I don't think that's what she is after somehow" I say with a smile, handing over the fare and a nice tip. I look at the driver identification on the dash. "Well thanks Rasheed." I say as I slide out of the cab "... or was that Billy?". I close the door before he can answer.

True to her word, the mini-golf is open, and also as suggested, completely empty. It seems that we are the only people in town that think this is a good way to while away a friday night. But, somehow, it feels kind of nice to not be with anyone else. A life surrounded by managers, and fans and reporters and the other band members doesn't leave much quiet time.

I stroll through the gate in the quaint picket fence that surrounds the complex and find Ofelia at the first hole, clubs in hand and her ball at the ready by her feet.

"Well then. I guess it's time for some 'real fun'" the smile on my face covering the hint of sarcasm in the comment. "I don't suppose they sell beer here do they?" I scan the place "... or something stronger even ... spirits ... crack ... amphetamines??" I laugh as I watch 'felia roll her eyes.

Ofelia stretched her arms out as she waited. In the bush behind her was a six pack of beer. She had no idea how long it was but, according to the manager, it was still good. He told her to have as much as she liked. She decided to let Dom have it. The balls she selected were two different colors. There was a purple one and a pink one. One guess which one Dom received.

“Well then. I guess it’s time for some ‘real fun’,” the smile on his face could not hide that small hint of sarcasm. She got enough of it from Jess.

“You know, just because it doesn’t have flashing lights and mega hot babes doesn’t mean you can dis it,” she replied, raising an eyebrow. “Besides, it’s real fun and free. Your brain doesn’t have to work as hard.” She giggled at the thought.

“I don’t suppose they sell beer here do they?” she didn’t say anything as he looked around. “… or something stronger even… spirits…crack… amphetamines?” He only laughed as she rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

“No. They only serve soda at this time. But in the bush behind me there’s a six pack of bottled beer,” Felia responded with a tilt to her head as she took her club and hit the ball. “You know, I’m really happy you’re back. It was lonely here without you and all.” Ofelia had missed him greatly. Waiting for him to swing, she grinned childlishly as her hands moved to the back of her belt. “Just relax, alright?”

She moved further down to located her ball. She hadn’t put any effort into it, enjoying the fact it didn’t require much brain work. Jess made it seem it was like Quantum Physics. …trashy skank. She could feel her body twitched.

“You know, I’m really happy you’re back. It was lonely here without you and all.”

"Thanks. Nice of you to say. I still can't figure out whether I am happy to be back or not, but it is nice to see some friendly faces." I reach out my hand to take the ball from 'felia, my hand brushing against hers where it lingers for a little too long. Her hand eventually flinches, breaking the rather awkward moment.

"And it's good to see you too, you look good." I can see a look of disbelief in her eyes. It seems that she still isn't too confident in her self. "... really I mean it."

"Although I don't like the sound of you being lonely. We'll have to sort that out won't we? I don't have much on so I'm sure we can find time for some fun." I stand over the ball, adjusting my stance a little, strangely out of my comfort zone.

“Just relax, alright?” Ofelia says, her hands thrust into the back of her belt.

I stand there and take a gentle swing, the ball skewing off rather badly, bouncing off the walls and landing a fair way from the hole. A hear a small chuckle from behind me. I turn, shrug my shoulders and grab a beer, taking a long refreshing swig.
