thanks for the welcome, bash, and i'll certainly do my best to respect the women (and i'll review the start of the thread).

if i have an achillee's heel, it's that when i think i'm being harmlessly humorous -- and i'm always making wisecracks, because i believe humor is the great salve of the soul -- others take umbrage.

easily the worst part of online chatting is the flaming and drama that go on, often when it's just a miscommunication that started it.

Of course it's possible, but there are problems to be dealt with.

First, some women (well, some people) have personal issues, and feel that they don't deserve to be happy. Therefore, if they find someone who truly treats them well, they will often push that person away. Conversely, when they find someone who treats them like shit, they will often cling to that person.

Also, if you are trying too hard to be what she wants you to be, then you lose some of being yourself.

even if it's a few weeks old, that's genuine wisdom right there, especially the last sentence. (been there, not going back.)
