Hi llidar. It's botanical name is Aechmea fasciata, it's a flowering plant in the bromeliad family, native to Brazil. It's also a very popular plant in Hong Kong; I remember we had several tall ones in our backyard when I was a kid.

And I had several bromeliads as House plants years ago. Mine were not this color though. I think they were red.

That place is truly lovely.

Our holiday tradition is driving through the Portland International Raceway and enjoying the Christmas light show inside our vehicle. The lights aren't anywhere near as pretty as those in your photo though.
