Rossie's World of Brilliant Colors

I believe you're right. It never even occurred to me that the tree could be a crape myrtle because I haven't seen one smothered in dense panicles like that. Thank you for the information. :)

They thrive in hot, dry places like Texas!

Ha - perfect! That pic is from *ahem* somewhere on the internet. It's probably available for sale from somewhere.

Thanks! :D

I wonder how much they charge for that photo. My hubby once posted a tulip pic of his on Getty Images just for fun and it sold for $340.

Hi, Cassie! Welcome to the thread. :)

No wonder I've only seen them back in Cali. I don't think I've seen any in my part of Oregon yet.

Thanks Rossie ~

I actually have a couple of crepe myrtles in my yard. They won't get as dramatic or as big as they would in the south, but they do bloom.

Thanks! :D

Good grief! I'm sure I have bluebonnet pics AT LEAST ;) that good. I'd be happy to sell them for, oh, $300. :D

That's good to know. :) We don't have any crape myrtles around our area, but there are plenty of azaleas, rhododendrons, and lilacs.

That's great! Would love to see them. :)
