"Alright girls, that will do it for today... have a good weekend and I will see you all on Monday!" Kali dismissed her girls from dance practice. She loved coaching the girls and they were actually pretty good.

As the girls gathered their things and headed for the doors she noticed that one girl, Amanda, one of the better dancers was sitting on the bleachers. Kali grabbed her bag and water bottle, "Whats up Amanda everything ok?"

Amanda smiled, shrugging her shoulders, as most 15 yr old girls do as a form of answering. She explained that her brother was supposed to be picking her up today and he was AWLAYS running late. Kali laughed and told Amanda she would wait with her until he got there.

Kali tossed her stuff down and started to do a few stretches, feeling her muscles tighten. Kali turned the music back on and her and Amanda started working one on one over some of the more difficult coreography and they were so involved neither of them heard anyone enter the gym.

Kale thought he was running late. Technically, he was; he had intended to be home three days ago, but someone in his unit had been caught AWOL and, as a result, their early-return passes were revoked. Despite his flawless record in school, in the Officer's training program, and in general character, the brass had decided to punish everyone as per their wise judgment. Two days later, he threw his rucksack into the back of his POS Honda and drove straight home, stopping only for gas twice.

There wasn't much back home for him to come back to; there was a reason he left. His parents were stubborn and easily offended and the people he went to school with were either dicks or had left also. The only piece he had left was his darling baby sister, and he was as ready as she was to reunite after two years of being departed.

She had told him that she was doing her dance coaching thing all week from noon to four, and at 3:57, his heart was hurting furiously as he hoped he hadn't missed Kali. As he came inside the school gymnasium, he observed the last of the team's routine and identified his sister based on her backside; she had a small mark on her lower thigh as a result of his experiments making and throwing spears as a child, and his need for a moving target. He came up behind her, licked his fingers, and wiped it on her neck, which always bugged her.

"What'd I miss, lil one?"

Kali jumped when she felt the tell-tale sign of her brother. "Gross!!" she turned around and saw him and couldn't help but to smile.

"Better late than never huh?" she laughed as she wrapped her arms around his neck tightly. She made sure to rub extra sweat onto him and smiled as she stepped back, surveying what two years in the Marine's had done for her brother.

"I missed you so much!!"

"Yeah," He simply stood still as she hugged him and wiped sweat on him, barely returning the hug in fear of squishing her. "I guess so."

He looked around at the chaos of the dancing, the levels of intricacy confounding him in parts of his brain he didn't usually use. It was really busy action for 15 year olds. He didn't even understand it when Kali was first involved in it; he thought she was going to stay in soccer forever, but after a friend got her involved in the school's pom squad, he didn't stop hearing about it.

"How much longer is this gonna last? What're you doing after?"

Kali laughed, some things never changed. Her brother had never been real interested in dance, and obviously he still wasn't. She smiled, "Don't worry, we were wrapping up." She turned and let the rest of the team know they could all take off and she would see them on Monday. The girls started grabbing their stuff and Kali walked over, grabbing her bag and her water bottle. She shrugged her shoulders, "After? Umm..I didn't really have plans...I was just kinda waiting for you to get home...." she couldn't get over how great he looked....he had definatly filled out, muscles all over. She wrapped her arm around his waist as they headed out the doors, "What did YOU wanna do?"

"Shit, I dunno," He had an instinct to curse. He normally didn't; he was, in fact, a very quiet kid back in the day, but after assimilating into the Marine culture, he had become one step above an angry sailor. "I don't really care. I just don't want to see mom or dad, or go anywhere that I have a chance of seeing somebody from high school."

He hated the town. The biggest school there had started as an Indian mission after the Civil War, and somehow filled out a successful football program for 90+ years. It was plagued with corrupt administrates, bad teachers, and cocky kids that grew up thinking that they were better than anyone that wasn't involved, mostly as a result of succeeding in athletic competitions. Kale wasn't involved in anything. He spent a lot of time hanging out in the JROTC room with other military hopefuls, and never thought twice about getting in fights whenever he got pushed around. Now that he had the ability to kill with his bare hands, he didn't want to risk running into any of those jock douchebags or douchebagettes.

"I honestly don't care. I just want to be with you." He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, his large arm enveloping her as she melted into his side.

Kali laughed when she heard her brother's response. She knew that him and her parents didn't see eye to eye on alot of things and figured she could do without hearing the fighting for a while longer.

"Well, you can come back to my apartment with me and we can decide if and when we wanna go DO anything...if not, we can just hang there." she suggested, knowing it would be a safe zone. No one there to fight with or to run into...just her and her brother....God she had missed him!

Kale pinched the bridge of his nose hard, trying to wake himself up. He had never driven as intently in his life, except possibly when he first left for college six years ago. Kali was warm against his side, and the attention she gave him made him feel excited as they walked to the parking lot together.

"I'm tired, Kal. I want a beer. You got any at your place?"

Kali laughed, "Of course I do..come on now." she bumped him playfully. Lets go home and hang out...get you your beer and let you relax." she loved how he made her feel instantly safe.

Kale looked around them. He didn't see Kali's small Honda in the nearly-empty lot, and turned to her.

"Where's your car? Am I supposed to drive you home?"

Kali laughed, "Well unless you intend to walk. I didn't drive today... the car's been making a funny noise and it made me nervous...I should get it back tomorrow or the next day... so to answer your question, yes. You are supposed to drive me home." she smiled at him, "Unless you have a problem with that."

Kale didn't have a problem with it. He cocked his left eye, sensitive to the sun, as he began redirecting towards his vehicle. He had his little sister in his arm and she was the perfect thing to come home to, her sweet and tender personality lighting things up in his soul. He loved watching her smile.

"Kay." was all he said.

He opened up the passenger door for her and closed it when she sat inside, and at a quick pace came around to the driver's side and climbed in himself. He started the engine and put it into gear, driving forward through the abandoned parking lot and toward the street.

"Well, what have I missed?"

Kali laughed at her brother's simple response. It was just like him. He was just so low key and easy going. She had missed him so much and was so happy to have him home again. She was thankful that he had wanted to stay at her place instead of back home, it would have been non stop fighting and Kali couldn't have handled it.

She looked over at him when he climbed behind the wheel and started driving towards her apartment. She shrugged her shoulders when he asked the question... "Well, you've been gone for like....ever...so I'm sure alot...but nothing too special comes to mind...alot of people have moved away...a few have moved back home to their parents bc they found out real life is harder than they thought it was..." she smiled at him...

Kale tried listening as he carefully dipped and dodged between the nearly-empty streets. He started craving the slow burn of the crappy beer that Kali liked and, when they arrived, wasted no time in getting out of his car.

"That's fascinating. Let's get drunk."

He helped her out of the car and let her lead the way to the front door, watching her in front of his step as they moved. She looked quite good from the back; she'd always looked good, but there was something about her that glowed after she got home from dancing. He admired his little sister and caught up to her, wrapping his large arm around her again.

Kali laughed and rolled her eyes. They went up the stairs to her aparment and she unlocked the door. She let him in and directed him towards the kitchen.

"Don't even complain about my beer choice...you know Im a girl and I have different taste than you military guys."

She followed him into the kitchen as he pulled a couple bottles from her fridge. She took one from him and took a long pull. She had to admit it felt pretty damn good as she felt the coldness move down her body when she swallowed it.

"So how long are you home for anyway?"

Kale watched her reach into the fridge for his drink. She still looked good, probably even better than when they were in high school. He took the beer from her and began drinking; it sucked, as usual, but nothing compared to a good old bottle of Jack Daniels. He took a hefty chug from it before setting it down to respond to her.

"Here? I don't know. I've got two weeks off, but I don't know if I should stay here the entire time."

He looked her over again, knowing she may or may not have noticed, but he didn't care.

"You know, you look good. Do you ever think about, y'know," he paused for a moment. "The stuff we did when we were teenagers?"

Kali laughed as she pulled the bottle from her mouth, "When we were teenagers?" she shook her head laughing, "I've put all that stuff to the back of my memory...alot of good times...crazy, but fun times...." she smiled at her brother. "It's not the same without you here with me."

Kale smiled back at her and approached slowly, taking a big swig from the bottle as he did. He leaned in close, wrapping his hands around her curvy waist and rubbing them toward the small of her back, just above her buttocks. His right hand came around to her stomach, rubbed it gently, and traveled down to her groin, where he began to rub a bit rougher.

"I know that you know that I'm talking about some very specific moments from when we were teenagers,"

He kissed her cheek and her neck, and moved his mouth up to her ear so he could whisper.

"You know you loved it when I made you scream."
