The dinner was served and they were eating but it seemed more like a meeting with some client than a date. They were just talking, nonstop. It was just like old times where they didn’t care about what went on around them. Matter of fact, she remembered that her friends complained to her that she didn’t spend time with them during the time she dated Tom. Well there was that.
She could care less if he bought her act or not. Matter of fact, she was starting to feel a little uneasy as they talked as if they were nothing but two single people in room full of people and she just happen to have a wedding ring on with a big diamond that can’t go unnoticed. She chew her food and sipped on her wine, realizing she really didn’t have much of an appetite and more was lost in the story he told her about them crashing the frat party.
She tried not to laugh out loud as he went on telling her all about it in details when she already knew it. Though, it was always fun to listen to others go on about the story in their perspective. “You know I was so close to letting them watch too. I mean not that way but I could care less that night if the comforter had come off and should they want to just stand there while we finish.” She added with a lopsided grin, “They would have envied you the whole time.”
She smirked as they had good time eating the dinner. It was more so re-living the memories. “Oh god…you can stop now or I am going to drop on the floor laughing. Now that wouldn’t be so good in a place full of people.” She said as her face had turned red from laughing, teary eyes as she wiped it before it trickled down her cheek, “See…just like old times. Why can’t we just have fun…like we used to. I mean being silly. Not that kind of fun you dirty pig. Your mind’s in the gutter…” she said knowing what he would be thinking about. Yet, she didn’t feel threatened by him. She poured another glass of wine and looked at him, “You know this is an expensive wine…so you better help me finish it. Put that beer away.” She said and took it from his hand and placed it on the side of her chair.
