*'Sanctuary' for Us *

Kate

She nodded to Asteroth and took aim luckily Henry was distracting her. Kate didn't like what she was hearing from Isis and could hear the pain in Henry's voice didn't help.

Declan looked over to Henry

I get the feeling that while you can help her right now might not be the best time... Will may need to try to talk to her I will tell him to let you be there but for now... We need to get her into containment... Now your call Dragon or Kate?

He was trying to help Henry also let him make a choice for Isis who could he handle better being the one to incapacitate her for now.

Isis

She hissed again at Henry... Eyes narrowing... She tensed Isis was again fighting herself. Roaring out there was clearly a battle going on in her mind. She quickly began trying to back away from all of them Isis didn't want to hurt them but whatever or whoever else her mind had created from her rage pain and hate could care less and was willing to kill to get away. She was divided and struggling. Claws finally Sparking as she dragged them down the stone wall.

None of you...

She looked at her claws again seeing Ashley's blood and roared.

Jenny shuffled once more, noting the drinks of everyone being refilled regardless of any glasses held out, and explained: ''This game is generally called Cheat in Britain and Bullshit in the USA. The game can be played by from 2 to 10 players.
One standard pack of 52 cards is used. All the cards are dealt out to the players; some may have more than others, but not by much. The object is to get rid of all your cards. We should come up with a way to decide who should go first and then go clockwise to take turns.
On the table is a discard pile, which starts empty. A turn consists of discarding one or more cards face down on the pile, and calling out their rank. (The first player must discard Aces, the second player discards Twos, the next player Threes, and so on.) You know the ranks of standard suites of cards, right?"

Everyone nodded. Jenny continued, "Since the cards are discarded face down, you do not in fact have to play the rank you are calling. For example, if it is your turn to discard Sevens, you may actually discard any card or mixture of cards; in particular, if you don't have any Sevens you will be forced to play some other card or cards.
Any player who suspects that the card discarded by a player doesn't match the rank called can challenge the play by calling "Cheat!"or, "Bullshit!"(depending on what you call the game). Then, the cards played by the challenged player are exposed and one of two things happens:
if they are all of the rank that was called, the challenge is false, and the challenger must pick up the whole discard pile;
if any of the played cards is different from the called rank, the challenge is correct, and the person who played the cards must pick up the whole discard pile.
After the challenge is resolved, play continues in normal rotation: the player to the left of the one who was challenged plays and calls the next rank in sequence.
The first player to get rid of all their cards and survive any challenge resulting from their final play wins the game. If you play your last remaining card but someone challenges you and the cards you played are not what you called, you pick up the pile and play continues....Ok, everyone understand?''

Helen sat back on the sofa and crossed her legs, her drink taking another refill as she commented, "You didn't need to explain it in such detail but you did an excellent tutorial, Jenny. I've played this before. "

Jenny's grin widened and she added, "Biggfoot will pour shots. Jack D? Anyone caught ''cheating'' or ''bullshitting'' will have to take a shot. I bet you've never played with alcohol." Jenny challenged her originator.

Magnus smiled slyly, rising to the challenge, "I bet you wish you could be certain of that. I'm about to win." she announced, joining Jenny at the table to play.

Asteroth struck swiftly after a brief and reluctant nod from Henry.

His hollowed fangs finding home in Isis' flesh the cold venom pouring into her a larger dose was needed for this feral. Asteroth took comfort in knowing that it was a painless method though it was often worse for the fearful sort, panicked thoughts imagining terrible fates.

Isis went limp in his arms and he swept her up off her feet looking to Henry with a consoling nod Henry checking on her "I'm sorry Isis," looking up to Asteroth "Thanks.... you still freak me out but still thanks."

Druitt was now barely standing "Quite the bite he's got she's not feeling any pain quite the opposite...reminds me of morphine." John commented from personal experience.

Isis

A growl then nothing she was not only trapped within her mind but now this other side of her was trapped within their body unable to attack any of them. She smiled inwardly knowing whatever had happened to her it was trapped too. The only thing that really hurt was seeing that look in Henry's eyes... the worry... She was hurting him just like she did James so many times.

See... that is why you need me to protect you.... the darkness chided... I would not hold weakness for the wolf... that is only you... weak one

NO IT is NOT weak to care... If no one cared we would have probably died as a child in that carnival side show.

Kate and Declan

Kate moved to pat Henry on the shoulder not sure what to say to him.

She will be alright Henry... We will all figure this out...

Declan motioned to the Dragon

Asteroth I am Declan Follow me I will show you where to place her to rest.

Declan texted Big Guy We need the max security med containment cell ready In coming... Its Isis.

He then moved motioning for Asteroth to follow him and nodded to Kate to bring Henry along as well.

Kate nodded to him and pulled on his arm a little... Lets go get her set up Henry.

They had started moving and so Asteroth carried the feral cat with him, to confinement Henry to his right Druitt still a little groggy to his left Asteroth flaring his elbows to give Isis a little space from these overly concerned males. She would be fine, despite all that her mind was suffering it showed in her mind...it looked so familiar...the madness.

Henry consoling her with every step Declan leading the way and Druitt wary of both Isis and the dragon, his eyes sharp trying to read the reptiles moves. Asteroth merely making a sinister show of teeth to back him off.

Coming to the containment rooms Asteroth became apprehensive laying Isis down in the room opened to them, his tail slithering to full length coiled and ready for them to try and contain him again. His honor foced him to restrain himself wait fro them to prove themselves friend or foe.

Setting her down and moving back so everyone was to the front of him, Druitt Standing just outside the cell, making sense of what was wrong...her own dark past taking root in her mind, he would have to have a talk with Henry though Declan seemed to understand it just aswell as he did.

Henry stayed by her side for a time before setting up a chair outside her cell clothes laid out near the bed in te corner should she need them.

Will

losing and badly, he couldn't understand how he couldn't read magnus it was strange...but the liqour wasn't helping.

Kate

So... who tell Magnus and Ashley that we just put Isis in Max security medical Containment for... Whatever happened to her?

She stared in there wondering what the heck Dr Abbyn stole from the Cabal that they would create something to do this. She hated being the bearer of bad news but She really didn't think Henry could and the Dragon really couldn't so Druitt Declan or herself.

Declan you and Druitt seem to understand whats going on better than I do so maybe you should tell them.

Declan nodded... Its always something with the network... Kate Asteroth seems comfortable with you so why don't you work with him. John... Your call... stay here ready when she wakes up or go be a hopeful comfort to Magnus and Ashley while I go show Magnus the file and convince her she wants to let us handle this and just enjoy time with Ashley.

Wish me luck. With that Declan straighten himself up and headed up to where the gathering was computer pad in hand looking like he was headed to an execution. He hated what he was going to have to tell them. Arriving quietly he watched them for a moment seeing Magnus and Ashley happy he was tempted just to summon Will over for a moment. Deep in thought about just talking to Will and facing Magnus wrath later for not telling her and let her have this happiness or just tell her and get it over with.

Opting to attempt to talk to Will first he motioned to him hoping he would see him there before Magnus or Ashley or Jenny did. Knew Big guy was already elsewhere so no worries there. He had an idea on what to do Quickly texting Druitt Get a venom and blood sample from teh Calisar hounds... They don't seem to suffer any affects from the changes the Cabal made... I have an idea.

Will

A little tipsy Will staggered out of his chair seeing Declan show up with a rather grim look upon his face Walking over letting the girls have their fun "Excuse me ladies." Speaking with a slightly drunken smile, before moving to Declan "What's up?" he spoke quietly "looks like your cat just died or something." Not realizing how stupid that would sound to Declan right about now.

Druitt

Not an easy fight but the hopunds never really saw him coming and a hand full of syringes he made quick work of collecting enough blood samples for Declan, he returned the text to Declan "wish granted" then deposited the samples in the lab marking them appropriately before joining the party...it didn't seem the time of festivities but he wouldn't worry them there was no point Isis would survive she always did.

"Magnus, ladies how is the evening treating you."Taking Will's seat."

Henry

He sat outside Isis' cell until he fell asleep but never thought once to leave his post...despite all the work he had to do...it just didn't seem important

Asteroth

As they all scattered it left only he and Kate together he was wondering what was going on, but kept his eyes open taking in this strange structure as they walked. Passing the open door where many people sat seeing two identical women save for the color of their hair sitting across from the demon, and another girl. They seemed...happy.

Declan

Dismissing Wills comment.

We have had to place Isis into the Max security Med Containment. The Calisar hounds... One last tactic of the long gone Cabal. Designed to force the Sanctuary network to wipe out HEPs. A virus like the last mass attacks on making Abnormals turn killer only this one was designed solely for HEPS. Its like Isis is two different people. While I am dealing with the medical part of it I want you to see once she wakes up... probably tomorrow what you can get from this darker... more "evil" side.

He glanced past Will to Magnus and the others.

For now don't tell Magnus or Ashley anything I will endure their wrath later for giving that order but they need their happiness for now and I really don't think Ashley seeing her like this would be good for the poor girl she needs some peace and happiness.

Kate

She did her best to show Asteroth what she could and see if she could find him clothing or something to wear that would fit him. She had no idea if anything she was showing him was getting through as they had no clue what the other one was saying beyond names.

Helen nodded as John sat in the spot formerly occupied by Will, beside herself, across from Ashley who sat at her mother's right. "Come on, John. Play with us for a spell. I bet after so many years I can tell when you're lying." she teased.

Ashley still wasn't sure how she felt about Druitt. She knew he was her birth father but he was also a man notorious for evil deeds and he'd hurt her mother and herself already several times even in the brief time she'd known him before her first death. But, since everyone was relaxed at the moment she remained so as well, quickly explaining the rules of the game to the man who looked...almost sad for some reason.

Jenny noted the slump of John's shoulders as well and wondered if he was just very tired. She happily dealt him in thinking once more about how attractive he was to her somehow, not a typical sort of beauty, no, but he held something about him, a mystery and a kinetic power even at rest that she physically found to be alluring. Given how drunk she was already starting to feel the flirtation began immediately. "Alright, handsome, you ready for the next round?" she asked him as they started play again once Will sat back down at the table in a formerly vacant chair.

Helen looked to him from across the table and asked, "What was that? Declan looked a bit..."

But, will waved a hand dismissively telling her it was all fine, just a messy clean up job Kate, Isis and Henry were handling.

Helen played her turn and was caught lying by John. Called on her ''Cheat'', she rolled her eyes at him, and chuckled at Ashley's laughter as she poured her a shot...then Helen took a drink. Was it her imagination or were the drinks getting stronger as the night went on? She looked up past the collective cheer to see Kate escorting..."Well, this must be our new guest." Helen said, rising to stand and greet him but feeling more wobbly than she'd like to appear in a professional capacity. "Kate, how is the translating going? Can anyone understand him?" she asked, wishing she could find a peaceful way to learn more about him.

Althea stepped out from behind the bar and by the look on her face Helen judged perhaps the slip of a woman could actually herself understand him through her unique telepathy. Helen looked at the girl and asked quietly, "Althea, are you reading anything from him?"

Lyda

30 minutes later she had changed and dealt with her injection and felt much better. Now in a tailored blouse and flowing skirt and sandals she stood there staring out over the beautiful landscaping around the spa. Smiling feeling much better than during their last encounter. Now would the Ancient vampire show up?

Nikola snuck up just behind Lyda, enjoying the view of her as she enjoyed the view of his spa before saying a word, "Now, what was it that had you running off so suddenly when we were just getting to know each other, my dear?" he asked, kissing her cheek and pleased to get a surprised look and a rising flush of color in her cheeks as a response as she turned to face him.

He continued, "And, you smell divine, deliciously human yet...there's something more in the scent of your blood...oh, don't worry I won't bite you. I don't feed off of humans, a barely feed off of animals if I can help it...just a little promise I made to some old friends long ago and have found life easier if I stick with...No, you're an abnormal. Somethings changed since the restaurant. Your blood smells sweeter, less animalistic to me. Before, something in your blood smelled...HEP, explain?"

Kate

She guided Asteroth into the room and did what she could to introduce him to everyone.

Tap at your chest when I tell him your name that seems to seal it in his mind.

Asteroth that is Druitt... and Will and Magnus and Ashley and... Jenny? And Guys this is our Dragon guest Asteroth.

Motioning for him to sit down she sat back with a sigh.

So whats everyone up to?

Isis and Declan

Once she was starting to move around Declan had a tranquilizer prepared and walking in and injecting her. He looked over at Henry and smiled bout time the old boy found someone. Once she was back out and still he went in and drew some blood and got to work. Luckily he found a blood sample from a previous visit for Isis marked long before her intake paperwork from the Cabal so hopefully it was a pure sample. With that he got to work. taking the pure blood and the a blood sample and poison sample form the Calisar hounds trying to find the exact element or chemical that was now in Isis current blood sample trying to find out whatever he can.

Lyda

A kiss how sweet of the vamp and his promise of not biting her was rather cute too. It was his other words that confused her.

What are you talking about... HEP? I have had to take injections my entire life. Dr Abbyn... my prior caregiver discovered my illness and started me on the injections when I was very young. I have been on them for years. I am not an abnormal just trying not to die.

She watched him a little warily now as she continued.

To answer your question from earlier I do not work for anyone and as to why you think you know me I don't know. We have never met. I have only recently decided to seek out you and the rest of the illustrious 5. Though you are not the first I have tracked down. Your Invisibility capable friend Nigel Griffin. It is really a shame that his line has passed. Then of course the man turned literature icon James Watson though from my research on him I believe Sherlock was more based on him than the actual Watson. Shame he has pass as well. I think I would have enjoyed talking with him.

She smiled again... that smile... Sparkle to those eyes as she continued...

I thought I might save the one that hides in her Sanctuary for last. Dr Abbyn was wary of her who knows why... Helen Magnus seems harmless enough from what I have found with my research... Anyways meeting Jack the Ripper might be entertaining.

Turning to fully face him after that little bomb she dropped revealing she knows all of them and apparently how to find them she smiled leaning back against the railing watching his face and eyes awaiting his reaction.

Ashley sat with her mother lost in thought as she watched her father trying to be accepted by the two women in his life. She looked tired and weak and unable to sit comfortably in a short skirt. Looking at the fruit punch her mother was drinking she had an idea. Getting up she raised her index finger to her mouth as she passed Jenny and mimed “shhhh!” Opening a cupboard she took out a bottle of vodka which she opened and poured into the bowl. Smiling at Jenny she sat down again next to Helen and gave her a smile.

Kate

Noticing what Ashley did she smiled faintly and briefly. Okay she and Ashley should get along pretty good though she would now have to keep an eye on Dragon guy just in case now that vodka entered the fray. Getting herself a small drink not enough to affect her she took a sip for now.

Asteroth

Kate was kind enough to show him this building, fairly well constructed, he listened to her words very carefully as she 'tried' to explain everything, slowly getting a handle on the language. He always found learning things quite simple if only he bothered to pay attention and so he listened in silence turning the words over and around within his mind, connecting them to the thing they said. What he could use now was a book, they had gone into the gathering room he was still wary of many of these people but the frantic conversations sped up this process of learning the language that much more.

Introducing themselves in turn they carried the names of their ancestors after their birth given titles, taking note of them one by one, Helen, Jenny, Kate, Declan, Will, Althea, and Druitt...they seemed to regard him with a little tension. Silently listening he found a large leather bound book and looked through it matching up what he heard with what they said the writings not all that different than the Gaelic alphabet though with a few abstract twists.

It would take more time to get the small thing correct but now 'maybe' he could communicate, "Asteroth....need...ah...Larger book." Looking the group hoping he'd gotten that much right.

John Druitt

"Kate what did you do?" Joking he figured if the lizard was as old as he'd believed and knowing several ancient language learning another wouldn't take him long, the blood sample was heavily modified it wasn't as simple as the five just injecting it into themselve...the Dragon...Asteroth was designed.

Going back to his game drinking another belt of whiskey...not because he lost just because it was a good liquor.

Will

Will smiled as Asteroth muddled through the words he'd been watching him, it was very intriguing the way his eyes darted from person to person following the conversation from one person to the next, and then looking through a nearby book to confirm what he heard "He's been listening to us, I think he's alot smarter than he seems...for a very large reptile that is."

Asteroth nodding to will in acknowledging what he understood of Will's words.

Kate

Looking to Will then to Asteroth she tilted her head.

Learns quicker than the more snake looking ones... seems nicer too.

She pointed out a larger book one of Ancient stories and histories. Nothing that would be detrimental to any of them.

The longer they played, the drunker the people who'd been in the game from the start began to get. Helen finally had to bow out and sit for a while, out of the action.

She chose to sit beside their newest guest so she could learn more about him and they ended up having a very rudimentary but very good conversation about legends in the book and their connections to real history. His excitement at relaying his connection to the ancient Babylonians was something which Helen found fascinating and heartening, glad he'd made some meaningful connections and was beginning to adapt to them.

"Mom, come over to sit here in this circle. As long as we can promise each other we can pass if it lands on family members!" Ashley exclaimed as Helen looked over and noticed the party guests were now convening on the rug before the fireplace, placing an empty soda bottle in the center of the circle.

Helen shook her head, "No, no, no...Ashley, not a good idea..."

Astaroth seemed to find this amusing. She was sure the sound he made was a chuckle and he urged her to go to the others just as Will came up and pulled her to sit near him.

"I'm surrounded by adolescents!" she cried out in mock protest now, already too mellow from the earlier drinking to mind as much as she normally would. Her formality and stiffness only gained more teasing and laughter from the others anyway so she shut up and let the bottle spin..."No!" she gasped. It had landed on John who simply shrugged in response.

Jenny complained, "Come on, Helen, not even a peck?"

Helen shook her head, "It wouldn't be right. We have a..."

"...history? Wouldn't that make it even less of a big deal, Helen?" asked Druitt in his calm, melodic tones. She could see he'd had a few too many drinks too, likely he hadn't really sobered up all that much from before and pouring more alcohol into his gullet was just speeding up his drunken flirtations now.

"Mom, it's kind of bad to start off the game by passing already on your first turn." Ashley reminded her.

"I'm not a spoil sport." Helen retorted.

"Spoil sport!" Jenny and Ashley chimed at once. Helen was beginning to wonder if they shared a brain instead of a little DNA.

"I'm not!" Helen said. Now, frustrated at having made a big deal out of something which was supposed to be taken light-heartedly. She rose up onto her knees, crossed the circle to where Druitt sat and grabbed him by the shirt collar, kissing him square on the lips, surprised at how completely he responded. In the moment, his lips on her's felt just as they did back when they were in love over a hundred years ago. His hands wrapped themselves around her waist and pulled her closer and for a moment she didn't resist...Then, she opened her eyes and looked over at Will...The expression on his face was a look which could kill. Helen pulled away abruptly, shoving John backward as she pulled back and resumed her place in the circle, her cheeks flushed, she didn't look directly at Will again until after John had taken his turn to spin. This time the bottle pointed at Jenny.

Pressure was off, it was strange to see, but Jenny and John did seem to have some chemistry and they both seemed to enjoy their kiss. Helen felt odd, like someone watching herself on film. It was creepy to see and yet so compelling she couldn't look away.

What are you talking about... HEP? I have had to take injections my entire life. Dr Abbyn... my prior caregiver discovered my illness and started me on the injections when I was very young. I have been on them for years. I am not an abnormal just trying not to die.

Turning to fully face him after that little bomb she dropped revealing she knows all of them and apparently how to find them she smiled leaning back against the railing watching his face and eyes awaiting his reaction.

Nikola began to laugh, "Wow, you really know an awful lot about my friends and me. Even that we called ourselves The Five, very good. You've done your homework. I'm almost impressed. So, how could you have missed the part of your studies that includes recognizing when you carry Abnormal traits in your blood?"

He leaned forward, mere centimeters from Lyda's face and he was impressed she didn't flinch or move away considering he knew it appeared as if he was about to kiss her on the lips...Instead, he whispered, "I've smelled that scent before. Your blood is at least a watered down version of HEP blood. I'll help you find out what you are if you tell me how and why it is you've come here with so much dangerous knowledge in that pretty little head of yours, darlin'."

Lyda

No flinching no backing away she just smiled.

Then we both know secrets about each other Nikola... SO now the question is can you help me make the injections last longer than having to take them daily or maybe find out exactly why Dr Abbyn found a reason to have me take them... maybe this HEP blood you talk about. Is that something that will kill me or not?

She was going to go out on a limb but from all she could tell the old man that had popped into her mind before was right... it was all ego with this guy so hand him a challenge and see where that went.

Honestly beyond the fact that Dr Abbyn was my care giver I have no knowledge of parents or anything like that just that her former employers were hunting her and she felt she needed protection from both them and various members of your little group of friends. Why would that be? She was a geneticist trying to find cures to things on a genetic level. Oh and you don't scare me... the old man was sure to tell me you were little more than an ego with fangs but no one I would ever have to worry about.

She didn't see the old man in her mind a lot but still he seemed to tell her things that she didn't always remember till she needed to.

Nikola considered Lyda's challenge and shrugged, "I could do that...but you'd have to do more for me than keep a few secrets which, if leaked, would only make you sound like a lunatic...Want to be useful? Not afraid of vampires? Good. I'll help you come up with more convenient injections than the ones you take now if you come with me to Rio, then Beijing as well so I can take care of something. I've got a few places of my own other than this spa I need to check on and a devamper to put back together so I can help these friends we speak of get rid of a bit of a pest problem, sad, really, having to destroy members of my own kind... But, they're not really vampires in the sense of the word those of the old ways would respect or honour...just fangs...not even with ego's, mindless bloodsuckers. A waste of our brilliant ancestry. You can be my sidekick. Every good hero needs one. We'll put the devamper back together, kill the bad guys, take it apart and hide the pieces again (that's MY job, of course. Cute as you are, you aren't any more trustworthy to me than a rubber chicken in a sword fight.) and we can bring you to the Sanctuary where Helen Magnus herself can help you sort out your genetic needs and injection problems, perhaps doing away with them altogether, she's brilliant enough."

Lyda

Wanting a body guard Nikola... then you need to offer more than just passage to Helen Magnus... I can do that myself... So... sidekick offer is less than impressive.

She smiled staring right into his eyes.

Anyways you could have already given me enough help with just being able to inform me I apparently have this HEP blood whatever that is clearly thats what the injections must be for and now to simply perhaps leave here with that information and go and talk to Helen Magnus myself and see if she will help me. Unless there is more information you can offer or better offer you can make.

Druitt found it strange how different a kiss could be from two identical bodies, Helen seemed so elegant soft and alluring a kiss to draw you in, but Jenny seemed to press forward more willing and forceful. What was stranger yet was that he couldn't figure which was better they had him enamored smiling as he leaned back taking another drink from his cup.

Will had suffered through the scene a little jealous, until his turn came, and it landed upon Ashley eyes wide at the prospect of kissing Magnus' daughter infront of her. Swallowing deep he nervously chuckled "Uh...should we...can I...um I think we should pass this one." Asteroth understood the game they played having observed it for the last fifteen minuted giving Will's chair a shove "Rules...follow.." Still leafing through the book, he stopped to correct himself "Play by...the rules." Nodding to himself satisfied with his translation.

Druitt eyeing Will with cold eye goading him to try and see what he would die, again Asteroth tapped the Demon on the shoulder with his tail "Fair..John will behave." The dragon didn't even have to look up from his book to enforce fair play, he may have been an ancient brute in the eyes of these people but he believed in honor over all things.

Druitt turned to the Dragon "If you're so fair why don't you play?"

Asteroth narrowed his eyes at the Demon "Reading." With a fang toothed grin, but truth of the matter was he saw himself a touch too monstrous for these women despite how human he looked, despite his reptilian features. Looking back into his book remembering the terror in his wife's face when he returned to her after Solomon had taken away his humanity, she once prided him on being a fair looking man, only to recoil at the monster he became. Hard to believe how much that hurt even four-thousand years later.

(OOC:I'ma gonna have to draw asteroth one of these days lol, best example of what he used to look like human is CLICKHERE just add horns wings and tail and some scales)

Kate

She sat back watching the game and helping Asteroth. Stifling a chuckle at how he was holding him to the rules and she suspected he would be good back up when they tried to get Magnus to take a break or help Isis break up fights.

Declan

Sitting in the lab he kept moving between three microscopes and various other equipment. The scattered grumbled curse or sigh is all that escapes him as he works.

Damn they were careful with this he muttered.

For several hours he worked on this straight through the night dozing from time to time at the desk just to rest his eyes.

"Nikola Tesla has spent several lifetimes fending for himself." Tesla bristled. "I need no bodyguard. A warm body would have been nice...but not to guard me...I have nothing more to offer you. I'm sure you realize by now I'm not too huge a fan of commitment, darling. Have a great time with whatever it is you're trying to accomplish. I wish you well. I have important work to get done and a plane to catch in about two hours. I should really be packing." With that, Nikola turned and walked away, up to his rooms. The audacity of the young never ceased to amaze him.

Jenny looked up at the sofa where Astaroth and Kate sat watching them. She made a face to tease them. "Really, you should both be playing. It's only a kissing game, Astaroth, I don't think you'll cause any harm...You're not venmous, are you? Kate, will you play?"

Just as Will contemplated the humiliation of having to kiss Ashley Magnus in front of both her parents (one of which he was seeing romantically) the doorbell rang and Ashley jumped up shouting, "I ordered pizza. I bet that's the pizza guy. I'll go get it, skip me for now!" and she was gone before Will had to make any uncomfortable decisions.
