*'Sanctuary' for Us *

Kate

You flipped out a little but everything is fine you are in the med bay and everything will be fine.

She was glad Henry was helping her and looked to Will

Go get some rest We have this Will okay.

Isis... Henry is right here okay I am going to go check on Will okay you need to stop fighting your safe.

Isis

She calmed down listening to Kate and nodding then it registered in her mind.

LYDA?!?! Where is she is she alright?

Kate tried to make her focus on her again. She is resting... everything will be fine. Just talk to Henry okay its okay.

Kate looked to Henry hoping she was right in telling her that about Lyda at least to calm her down for now.

Will

He went back to his bed in med bay and laid down, the drugs were starting to hit him a little more than he expected. He felt so drained.

Henry
"How are you feeling sweetie?" Henry asked Isis gently. "It's alright now. You're safe. We're all here for you."

Isis

She curled towards Henry as best as the restraints would allow nuzzling against him she purred still a little hazy. Her eyes closed feeling safer now with him nearby.

Henry... Kate was hiding something... is Lyda okay?

She whispered her eyes closing as she nuzzled against him more.

Kate

Checking on Will then moving over to Lyda she realized that she wasn't much younger than her she couldn't imagine being raised by one of those psycho's in the Medical department of the Cabal much less Abbyn... poor kid...

Henry

Lyda's fine. Don't worry.Just rest.

He let her nuzzle close to him and he let out a small growl purr of his own in response to her cuddle.

Will
Will looked over to where kate went next to lyda and found she was beautiful. Lyda truely was beautiful. "You're amazingly beautiful...." He said in a drugged state in the direction of Lyda and Kate.

Isis

Her eyes closed hearing his growl and let sleep overtake her smiling softly nuzzled close to him.

Kate

She heard what Will said and just shook her head with a smirk... He hit on everyone apparently when he was looped out. Once everyone was settled she took off to go get some sleep needing sleep badly.

Jenny & Asteroth

Finding herself bored again Jenny decided to make her way to the gymnasium for a little workout. There, she saw a man, or some sort of abnormal in the shape of a man...the dragon guy from the party the other night...He was there swatting at a boxing bag which looked as if he'd basically destroyed it. It swung helplessly on it's spring-mount, looking sad and pathetic.

Jenny slowly entered the room, grabbing a towel off of a rack of fresh ones and nodded politely as he turned and regarded her. "Hi, Asteroth, right?...I see you may not be quite suited for the sport of boxing...not unless it was a fight to the death. I see in the other room there's a basketball court. Do you want to learn the game? We could play some one-on-one."

Tesla shrugged, attempting to hide his titilation and surprise at the news than Helen swung both ways..."Tell me your plan, de Blythe and I'll think about it. You know how fond I am of the idea of a very grateful Helen Magnus, I don't, however, intend to do anything which would harm her, Ashley, or my unborn child...I imagine he's going to be quite a force to be reckoned with once he's had the proper training and instruction. This kid's going to have the best of everything!''

Roger de Blythe shook his head and took a deep breath “Please do not jump to any preconceived conclusions. I know fatherhood is important to you and it shouldn’t be any other way. I was a father once and I still miss my child. Children are still my Achilles’ Heel.”

Looking deeply at Tesla he said “Your child will be a combination of the strengths of all five of your group that met in Oxford all those years ago. But Ashley will give birth to your daughter, not your son. She will be a true Vampire Queen, indestructible! Meanwhile I need your help in making another clone, one that will revive some old passions Magnus used to have. I’ll make sure she knows you helped me and I’m sure she’ll think of a way to personally show her gratitude.”

Roger de Blythe left Tesla to think about his reply. Meanwhile in the silence of his own room he remembered a night long ago when he took brain stem cells from a sleeping girl.

Nikola Tesla tried not to be disappointed at the concept of raising a daughter as opposed to a son. He wasn't one of those sexist idiots who believed boys were more worthy of family legacies than girls were, no....but, he'd never really felt paternal much in the first place and it was easier for him to muster up feelings of protective pride and hope of shared interests with a little boy much like himself than with a little girl who might totally be an alien to his sensibilities of science, invention, fitness balanced with gluttony for the finer things, world domination...

He sighed and nodded, "Well, even if it's to be a female instead of male child I will do all I can to ensure she's properly educated and well-trained to become a leader of mankind, not a sheep to their principles and dogma. I want to make my offspring the rulers of all. A girl could be a good leader, I guess...I'll just have to work a little harder to make sure we have a bond. But, I'm sure it's possible."

About a new clone, he wasn't so certain, "I'm not sure Helen would be all too grateful for us to create another clone. She's not too fond of the idea even despite being very pleased to have Ashley back. I can tell she still feels guilt over how she got her. How far can we push her greed-over-guilt? Her morality isn't quite the same as yours or mine. I can't always understand how she gets anything done with her bleeding heart, to be honest...but, maybe we need to make sure we've truly thought of any reaction she may have..." Curiosity got the better of Tesla's reasoning and he stepped closer to deBlythe, "...Who is it you hope to bring back?"

Asteroth found this to be intriguing, the woman that once held a mirror image of Magnus, now holding to everything the doctor was not. She was right boxing wasn't really a fair sport for anyone faceing off against him "I'm afraid I've never played this game." Eyeing the ball in her hands carefully.

He hadn't seen the girl since she disappeared with the demon who was nowhere to be found as of late. "But," he continued "If you would teach me, I will try to learn it."

Jenny

Jenny grinned and motioned for Asteroth to follow her into the gymnasium. She pointed to the hoops mounted on either side of the space and then indicated the differing colored painted lines on the floor, explaining patiently what all of it meant before then explaining the goal and main rules of the game of basketball. By the end of her explanation she could see the Abnormal was ready to play and eager to try this new game out with her. His sheer size and strength would be something formidable on the court but Jenny reckoned she was still at the advantage, having not just learned how to play five minutes ago. She didn't intend to go easy on him. Two stubborn opponents meant this was one intense game of one-on-one.

The Big Guy smiled as he watched Jenny try to explain the rules of basketball to Asteroth and went to the court to show his support. "Do you want me to referee?" He laughed as he raised a whistle to his lips.

Turning he saw Ashley joining him on the side. "You ought to rest" he said with concern. "But I'm sure neither Jenny or Asteroth will mind if you watch the game." Grabbing a chair he said "sit here".

Raising the whistle to his lips he called for the ball and called thge players into the centre. With a bounce he blew hard and started the game.

Jenny:

Jenny caught the ball in mid-air, grin on her face, her blue eyes sparkling with mischief and competitive spirit, "Field goal...That's another three points for me! What's the score now, Big Guy?" Jenny asked, dribbling and ducking away from the swinging arm of her competition as he nearly tripped over her. The first half hour or so of the game had been easy for her, then Asteroth began to really get the hang of the game and he began to pose a greater challenge which Jenny was enjoying immensely. But, in the last hour he'd actually scored on her enough times that the score was now neck and neck. He learned quickly. Jenny was quite impressed but also getting a little annoyed. She wanted to beat him.

Declan

He sat staring at the monitor revealing all the info from the machines hooked up to Lyda. Drinking some coffee he was going to force himself to remain awake till any replacement stepped in doubting that would happen as it seemed the entire Sanctuary has erupted into pure chaos and confusion predominantly resulting from that long dead Cabal and big surprise Vampires. He was glad that Nikola was really an exception to his kind even though he was at times an insufferable ego maniac. He had seen the glances from Nikola to Lyda... He pondered texting him to let him know.

He looked around to Druitt. Druitt might have some ideas on how to handle Lyda seeming to have the same instinct of her father. Which this time proved damn near fatal and she was still not out of the woods yet. Hearing something his head whipped around quickly seeing Lyda trying to move a little and her eyes twitching slightly. Looking back to the monitor he then moved over by her.

Careful young lady you took a bit of a slash trying to take on your mother.

He quickly gave her a mild pain killer and even then it was just a tiny bit to take any edge off and not sedate her system. Watched her a little then made the rounds to Henry and Isis and then to Will and then back to his coffee and perch monitoring the screen and researching all he could on what they could do to help Lyda survive this shift and attack.

Asteroth

He hadn't 'played' in AGES, quite literally finding the exhilaration a bit awkward at first and sorting the rules out moment to moment. Watching Jenny closely as she dribbled about tossing the ball into the hoop, with a practiced method.

The goal was made clear as the words 'score' and the following numbers seemed to add up against him, deciding to use the natural advantages afforded to him he moved to even this score. His height and sheer jumping ability had him leaping to the basket instead of taking the risk of throwing the ball from a distance.

Jenny didn't seem happy as he kept sinking 'dunks' as she called them, but no rules were made against these maneuvers. Stealing the ball with a sweep of his tail as he rolled around and slammed the ball into the net once more.

He smiled for the first time since he woke in this new world, now face to face with Jenny as she prepared her next charge to the basket.

Druitt

Quietly he stewed over everything he'd heard, the incident with Lyda seemed to pass by relatively unnoticed though he held enough awareness to acknowled Declan's gaze."She will be fine, if at all like her father she'll be far too stubborn to kick off just yet...Now if you don't mind I've someone to kill."

His mind snapped to its decision the instant he reappeared behind Tesla, plucking a small item from the breast pocket of his coat. In a single flick and flash of silver and spray of red painted the floor. John paused to admire the bloodied straight razor in hand and the vicious wound he left across the spineless back of Tesla, cut deep from shoulder to the opposite hip.

Calmly John taunted Tesla "You keep pushing that envelope don't you, I'm beginning to think that you enjoy bleeding." Ignoring all other in attendance Druitt circled his prey blade at the ready wanting this to be slow and painful.

Ideas of 'A thousand cuts' which seemed so appropriate, god bless the orientals for such creativity, he'd bleed this bloodsucker dry one cut at a time.

Will

Will became conscious of the fact that Helen wasn't really trying in the relationship and started to think. He realized that maybe he should have a small chat with her to double check her commitment or wether she even wanted it.

Henry

He continued to watch over Isis and be there with her, finally passing out on her chest hearing her heartbeat softly.

Declan

He checked on Will once he realized he was awake.

Need any more pain killers Will?

Isis

She seemed to realize he was there with her and feeling him fall asleep there with her seemed to purr faintly though still sound asleep

Curiosity got the better of Tesla's reasoning and he stepped closer to deBlythe, "...Who is it you hope to bring back?"

“I don’t care if Helen wants another clone or not, and neither should you.” de Blythe’s eyes blazed. “You amaze me sometimes, you really do.” Seeing the surprise in Tesla’s eyes he smiled “Do you really want your Vampire Nation? Do you want rid of Druitt? I don’t mean kill him he could still be useful to us but do you want him out of Helen’s life once and for all?” As Tesla nodded de Blythe continued “The clone we need is Iris Le Noir, Helen’s childhood friend whom Druitt murdered because she knew who he was. Once Helen hears that direct from the horse’s mouth John Druitt will be banished from her life for ever.”

Turning to face Tesla he said “This is our chance, our time. But neither of us can do it alone. It’s your call!”

Nikola Tesla opened his mouth to reply to de Blythe's brilliant idea when a soft sound made him turn his head just slightly...and his peripheral vision had not been quite fast enough to see it coming before the feel of a blow to his back caught him off guard and made him stumble forward, knocking over the table in front of him and landing on his knees on the floor...Time slowed as he recalled the tearing sound the ''blow'' had made, and he started to feel the pain of a deep wound...Tesla was slowly becoming aware of a cut deep from shoulder to the opposite hip and he looked up at the snarl of none other than John Druitt, all too familiar with his favorite weapon, a straight razor, held shamelessly in hand, dripping with the blood of vampire royalty.

Calmly John taunted Tesla "You keep pushing that envelope don't you, I'm beginning to think that you enjoy bleeding." Ignoring all other in attendance Druitt circled his prey blade at the ready wanting this to be slow and painful.

Tesla mustered all of his strength to stand and face Druitt. His wound was knitting closed already from the inside, slower than he liked, but surely he would heal. "Johnny-boy, glad to have you joining the party. I was thinking for the baby shower you might be really great to give us one of those little bottle warmers, or maybe knitting a pair of booties might be more your style, pointed implements and all..." His expression grew more serious and he stepped closer, "Look, I know I've earned your wrath. I know you hate me for what I've done. If it helps to know, I hate me for it too. But, I mean, doesn't it at least help a little bit to know I'm the kind of guy who'll be responsible and face the consequence of this mistake? Ashley won't go through this alone. I promise, and you have no need to worry about it happening ever again. She and I have no attraction to one another whatsoever. We don't even like each other. But, I won't let her raise this baby alone. I will be a responsible father. I swear it."

Adam Worth

The pale little beings who had helped him for so long let hem know when young Lyda had collapsed. One of them had lingered undetected near her since Adam had last peeked through her eyes and mind. Others hurried to quickly suit him up so that he could walk use his link to her mind to walk freely and unseen around the sanctuary. Slowly his vision shifted and he now stood next to her bed having exchanged places with the one who watched her for him. Cloaked and hidden he smirked watching her lay there his voice only in her mind as he spoke.

Its almost time young Lyda... Helen will fail to heal you... and then you will be taken from them like they let death take my Emogean. Ohh they will try all sorts of things to heal you but don't you worry... those failed attempts will pain them more than they pain you. Tell me girl where might I find Helen say nothing... just show me the way with your memory.

Slowly as Lyda's mind retraced where she had been his eyes saw it too and he began to leave passing through the doors without need of opening them just as a thought passes through time. Making his way past he human at the computer... then Isis and whoever this young man sleeping against her was... Wait Lyda's mind gave them all names... Declan and Henry... Isis friend... Entertaining... Slowly he began to make his way through the sanctuary studying this place plotting and planning his next attack.

Asteroth

He smiled for the first time since he woke in this new world, now face to face with Jenny as she prepared her next charge to the basket.

An alarm went off, changing the color of the lights in the gym for a second and stopping both opponents in mid-motion as they looked to Biggie for clarification. He and Ashley both wore expressions of alarm, "E-M shields are down!...Druitt!'' they exclaimed.

Biggie shook his head and motioned for Jenny and Asteroth to join him and Ashley who were already hurrying out of the gym and to the lift. "Come. With Druitt here and Ashley's recent news...he's probably reeking some havoc."

Jenny caught on quickly as well. She wanted to see Druitt again but she knew something was amiss in the Sanctuary and it had something to do with Ashley. "Did the vampire-guy do something worth getting his ass kicked by daddy for?"

Ashley looked behind her at Jenny and rolled her eyes in admission, "Uh...yeah." she admitted. Jenny thought she saw Ashley blush for a second before she turned her face away under the guise of pressing buttons on the lift.

Jenny was now intrigued by the new melodrama and stepped into the lift as well. "Hmmm...."
She turned to Asteroth, "Are you coming too? If Druitt is after Tesla it might take someone pretty big and imposing to stop their shenanigans. "

Shocked by the sudden attack on Tesla de Blythe went into defence mode throwing an invisible psychic shield around his companion and himself. “I suggest you don’t attempt another attack” he warned “each effort you make now will rebound back on yourself”. Using his mind power developed over hundreds of years he forced Druitt to the ground and compelled him to hold the knife at his own throat. “Do want to test how far I can go?” When Druitt shook his head he smiled and added “Remember this moment …” He didn’t finish the sentence because he was interrupted when Ashley and the others burst into the room. Seeing Ashley reach out to touch Tesla he warned “DON’T!” Too late the young mum to be was hit by a bolt of energy that threw her across the room. Immediately lowering the shield he rushed to the unconscious girl and picked her up. Snarling at Druitt he said “You are responsible for this. If she loses the baby I’ll ensure you suffer the most painful death in history!” With that he shouted “NOW GO!” And he allowed to Druitt to transport himself away.

After giving Ashley emergency treatment de Blythe said to Big Guy “She’s safe and so is the baby. Can you take her to the medical wing please and tell her mother?” The gentle giant nodded and lifted the young girl up and took her. As the room emptied de Blythe ran his hands over Tesla completely healing his wounds. “Now do you see why we need rid of that madman? We need Iris Le Noir!”

Jenny had grabbed hold of Druitt's arm before he transported himself and he ended up taking her with him...

...to a run down hovel someplace extremely warm and humid. Not immediately aware he wasn't alone, he screamed with rage during the movement which reverberated in her ears, vibrated her molecules, and made her head throb once they'd ''landed''. She stood back a step from him, holding her head and trying to take deep, calming breaths before reaching out to him. "John, please calm down...Let me help you..."

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Magnus was called to the medical bay again and found Ashley lying on a bed. Her gut clenched protectively and she rushed to her daughter's side. "What happened?" She demanded information from the two most likely trouble-makers in the room, de Blythe and Tesla, both looking as if they knew what was up. Tesla looked somewhat guilty so she turned her angry and questioning gaze to him, "Nikola?!"

He put up his hands defensively, "I'm fine, by the way. Even though I was attacked quite brutally and my new Holland & Sherry is ruined. Do you know how hard it is to get one of these suits? The fabric alone..." He trailed off realizing his laments over his clothing wouldn't be as much appreciated by Helen as the safety of her daughter. He shook his head and poked Ashley's arm with his finger, "She'll be fine. de Blythe saved her life, and more importantly, the baby is also alright. But, that psychopath you like to keep on a leash needs a choke chain, Helen."

Isis

She heard the alarm and tried her best to wake up roaring out as best she could calling out to wake herself more

HELEN...LITTLE CUB...

Her "roar" was no where near as loud as she thought luckily with Henry sleeping there against her. She tried to move to get up to no avail though.

Declan

He knew what was going on to a point. Druitt was angry...Nikola more than likely to blame... those two were always friends and enemies. All circling around Helen and their increasing or decreasing place in her life. Spotting Isis trying to move he stood up and walked over.

Isis... its alright Druitt and Tesla can help them for now... you need rest... HEP or not you did take a fairly big dose of electrical shock now rest. Henry here is a syringe if she tries to force her way off this hospital bed knock her out.

Roger de Blythe

“Nikola is right” de Blythe joined in “you need to do something about him, he’s out of control. I know you had something once and” pointing to Ashley “you have a beautiful daughter as a result. But you have a grandchild due anytime and I can help you but I need all the help I can get. I need Nikola, not some psychopath who needs to be maximum sectioned. Ashley survived this time, but I can’t always be here.”

Ashley Magnus

Ashley stirred into consciousness and focused on the faces smiling at her “Mum … has he gone?” She tried sitting up and said “Oh my head” and with that she clutched her abdomen “The baby … is the baby … is she alright?” Seeing her mother give a reassuring nod and smile she grimaced with pain “that force shield …” she looked at de Blythe “… that force shield … the baby absorbed it … used it as food … Roger … she’s grown.”

Roger de Blythe

Signalling to Tesla de Blythe said “We need to leave mother, daughter and granddaughter together. We have work to do.” Nodding to the ladies he led Tesla out of the room and shut the door. “Now do you see why we need Iris back?” As Tesla nodded he said “If our plans are going to work we need rid of that psychotic murderer.”

Will

"Thanks Declan, yea something would be good. I don't know what that was..."

Henry

"How are you feeling my dear...dont' worry...it's gonna be ok."
