What kind is it, can't say I know much of them.

True, I'm odd in the fact that reptiles and rodents don't bother me at all, I used to have a pet mouse until I discovered they smell so much. (No, I did not feed it to the snake, that was before the snake.)

And it is a corn snake, they actually come in a variety of colors, you can even get a purple one. (I want a purple one...)

How much care goes into taking care of a snake.

It's rare because from what I understand it pretty much has to be a forced thing through selective mating as it's a pretty far repressed gene. The kind I have is the most common. And they're actually considered more of a lavender, but still pretty.

Most people just go..."Is that a snake?" To which I'll non-chalantly reply, "yes," and then, "wanna hold it?" And then they'll decline. It's fun.
