Dear Father Above,
I pray thee to watch over my friend Batch. Guard her in her times of trouble. Protect her from this evil. Watch over her children. Let nothing and no one harm them by action or word. Give her the strength that she will need to see this through. Help her to know that the words he throws at her are but words of a coward and have not the power to hurt her. Show her that she is loved by many and cared for by all. Teach her that she is worthy of this love and much more. For her's is a soul of gentleness and care. Help her to understand how she has touched our lives and made them better. Lead her to a more peaceful place within her soul and ease her troubled heart. Show her that we stand behind her and support her in her time of need, even as she has done for us. Let this be by your will and not ours as we praise you above all others.

A Simple Thing
A simple thing really
No more then threads
Woven together, plain
Unadorned, rough but warm
A cover in the cool
Of evenings breeze
A shade from the sun
Worn and well used
Nothing much to look
Upon, nothing fancy
And yet there is something
That can be felt
This simple thing has
Changed many lives
Enriched them or
Brought them low
For there is a power
In this simple thing

God watch over us as we face the troubles of our lives. Help us to find a place within us where peace and calm rule. Show us that we are loved by others even when we feel unloveable. Help us to love ourselves and grow in confidance. Guard us against those who would harm us. Keep us in your loving embrace until our time comes to return to our home above. AMEN

A FRIENDSHIP STORY
May we have peace and love in the world today, kindness and compassion for all........
~ Touch of a Friend ~
An angel was sent down from heaven one day
to visit a child who had nothing to say.
Now this young child was poor -
great wealth she did lack,
but she always was happy in spite of the fact.
Until one day it happened -
her best friend went away
and it left her heartbroken
with nothing to say.
Now the task of the angel was a great one indeed,
to give hope to a heart
that was so much in need.
And though great riches and power
were at the angels command -
he sent a lost puppy and the healing began.
The girl cheered the puppy as he chased down a stick
and she started to giggle
as her face he would lick.
Then without any warning the girl whose heart broke
found some reason for saying
these words that she spoke -
"I love you little puppy - I hope you will stay!
We will always be friends and together we’ll play."
Now the little girl was happy
though she still remained poor,
for she had a new friend
someone to care for.
You see riches and power are fine things indeed
but for a broken heart
that is not what you need.
The angel was wise for he knew in the end
how to mend a broken heart
with the touch of a friend.
