I've had a tattoo on my forearm since age 16 and am now a professional woman. I did get it covered later with something 'prettier'. Removal was to be $3,000. Wow! While it occassionally puts off some people (especially older ladies IF their husbands have no tattoos from the service, etc.), it has never cost me a job. I am a pro and they realize it, therefore seeing past the tattoo, actually considering it an artistic expression after a while as I create for them. If anything, it makes me work that much harder to prove myself!
