Sierra Dawson had never been one of the popular kids. At the same time, though, she'd never just been one of the invisible nobodies. If she had to fall into one of those bullshit stereotypical labels that most of her peers seemed to think were necessary, it would probably have to be 'loner'. She was known around the place, but mainly for being 'that chick with the hair' due to her unusual choices in hair colour variations or 'that girl with the headphones' because she seemed to have some around her neck more often than not, or placed soundly over her ears to drown out the constant whining and chatter of her peers. Her attire differed from the attire chosen by many of her peers, usually slightly darker, another thing that seemed to make everyone around her a little uncomfortable. Today, in particular, she was almost proud of her "fashion sense". How could you go wrong with a pair of knee-high fishnets, and some heavy-soled boots? A red tartan skirt that settled nicely midway down her thighs to keep in within acceptable length and a black form fitting singlet. Throw in her elbow-length, fingerless "arm warmers", and you'd find her in something that was just… her.
She didn't sit with a big group of people at lunch and she didn't sit around texting her friends during class. But she was happy that way. Especially in a class like this - it gave her time to watch people, to take a moment to assess the people around her, and maybe even find someone who took her interest. It took a bit to get her to eye you off, but you'd never be disappointed if she chose to place her interest in you. Leaning back in her chair, she tapped her fingernails, painted black as was usual for her, against the surface of her desk once, flicking her hair, currently dyed dark with vibrant red streaks throughout, over her shoulder with a toss of her head. This wasn't a class she took out of love or a desire to learn - it was a class that she took because she had no choice. It was a class her parents had deemed necessary and had her choose when the time had come. Bastards.
Looking over her shoulder, she fixed her darkly framed eyes on one of her fellow students, flashing him a small, sly smile, before looking away again, an idea forming in her mind. If she had to sit through this class, she would just have to do something to make it easier to get through. And with the class beginning to wind up, it was the perfect time. She could either initiate something they'd both enjoy and could follow up, or she could have her fun during this class and then go on her way. She wasn't the popular kid, but that didn't mean she wasn't a girl who knew her assets and how to use them. She shifted in her seat slightly, placing one leg over the over and leaning back again, giving the guy behind her another quick glance with a bite to her bottom lip before she again fixed her eyes on the front of the class. He was cute, but he'd be damned if he found himself under the impression that she'd fawn all over him like a typical teenager. Maybe he wouldn't even notice her pointed little glances. Hell, many of the people around here were utterly clueless, maybe he was one of them.
