School Sucks.

Lilith stood there and did nothing, watching as he seemed to come to and they broke out the smelling salts. With a smile she stuck the photos back into her bag remebering what David had said she turned and smiled at him. She leaned back against the bed holding to it with her palms. He was right next to her, he was pretty cute, Lilith shook her head. ~Bad Lil~ she chided herself as the bed began to roll out from under her hands unexpectedly. She struggled and ended up falling into David's arms.

Her face flushed with embarassment as she looked up at him. "Doesnt anyone bolt things to the floor anymore?" she joked slowly and regretfully pulling from his arms.

Suddenly the world seemed to fall out from under Lilth as the bed she was leaning on was unlocked. I reached quickly for her as she grabbed my arms I pulled a little to hard on her and she was jerked upward into my arms. It lasted only a second but I was in heaven as I could smell her perfume and feel the heat from her body. As I released her I held her hand for a second hoping she might not let go. I heard her say something about people not keeping things locked down and quickly replied "Hey some people will do anything to get attention." I said this with a smile as I was trying to make her feel better about this little embarrasing situation.

Two days ago, Kevin felt as if he were the shyest, most alone boy in campus.

Today, he felt that he should have been happy with two days ago. Not only had he tripped down and fallen in front of *the* girl he had a crush on... not only did he barely recall confessing his love for her while he was unconscious... not only had he been shocked awake from horrid smell... but now the bed was unlocked! The damn thing rolled, causing Lilith to fall into David's arms -- and Jennifer into bed. He could feel her body on top of his, her hands on top of his chest, her chest pressing against him. Their eyes made contact, their lips almost touching, their hearts beating, the only sound they could hear...

OOC: Nope, this doesn't have to lead to s-e-x. This is a typical shoujo moment in anime where the two main characters *almost* kiss but The Kiss Does Not Happen. Kevin and Jennie can come to their senses and back of *real* far from each other, Simone can suddenly enter the scene, or any number of Scenus Interruptus...

Lilith let her hand rest in Davids for a moment longer, feeling him not pull away. Her face flushed again as she squeezed his hand a little before letting go. "I'm sorry Jenny," she said quickly as that the bed had rolled and ended up with her ontop of Kevin.

Turning Lilith grabbed her bag, "I'm sorry I gotta go..." she said quickly as she slid her bag over her shoulder and walked out of the room.

"Hey, Lilth wait a second, can I give you a ride or walk you to your car?" I had felt her hang onto my hand for a second and even squeeze it and I was very determined not let this chance slip away. "Jenny, will you be alright with Kevin?" I looked at her pleadingly asking silently to please say yes.

Lilith didnt answer but stopped as she stood in the hallway outside the door. A part of her wanted to run, afraid she might do the wrong thing in front of David. But then again, a ride was better then walking in the heat to the bus stop and waiting for an hour.

"I don't want be any trouble really..." she said turning to half smile at David.

She smiled a bit down at him when suddenly she heard the sound of squeaky wheels rolling, and felt something decently heavy plow into her nad send her sprawling ontop of Kevin. When she came quickly to her senses she realized her face, and Kevin's face when barely an inch apart. She could even feel him breath on her face, and his heartbeat as her hand unintentionally rested on his chest. She blushed crimson and after an awkward moment she stood back up and kinda backed away, not wanting to look like she was trying to do anything with him whatsoever.

"Err...uh..sorry.." she stammered quickly, and her eyes glanced quickly at the other 2 students, then back at him, feeling that her face was getting very warm.

That would be no trouble at all in fact it would really please me to give you a ride that is if Jenny and Kevin will be alright. I gave a slight wink to Jenny as her attraction towards Kevin had not escaped me.

Tic... toc... tic... toc...

Kevin stayed in bed, pulling up the sheets, too embarrassed to get up or say anything. Jenny had just been sitting there, on a stool, her back away from him. He could hear the clock just above his head, but couldn't nor wished to see it.

TAP TAP TAP.

He could, however, see out of the window. It was dark outside. He heard rumors there was a ghost that haunted this school, but was it really *that* late?

TAP TAP TAP.

He held onto the sheets, closer. The doorknob turned.

"Hey, you kids. Don't you know the school's closed?"

"But the nurse..."

"She said if you needed a doctor, you would have gotten one by now. If you can stand, git. I gotta do some cleaning in the other classrooms."

The halls were dark, foreboding. A definite contrast to their bland, nondescript look during the daytime. "Umm... Jenny," Kevin offered, "I can walk you home."

OOC: So. Ghost story, rain outside, or ??? :)

She sighed as she sat there on the stool with her arms folded, not sure what to do. The annoying pestering on the stupid clock ticking and tocking away was driving her insane....suddenly the door opened and immediately they were all shooed out of the room..

"Umm..yeah sure..I..guess.." she says after the door closes and they are standing back in the hallway. "If you want to anyways..." she says.

They began to walk down the cold dreary hallway, and then turned and walked under the red EXIT sign. It was pretty chilly out, and she shivered a bit as she began walking in the direction of her home. Eventually it began to drizzle, and then just full out pouring rain slapped them in the face. "Oh great!!" she wailed and sighed in annoyance. "Go figure....."

Lilith nodded waiting for David in the hallway, still unsure whether getting a ride with him was such a good idea. She turned and walked to the door staring out as it began to rain, as someone walked down the hall and told them all to leave.

Lightining lit the hallway as she turned to look at them.

Rain... heat... a muggy evening made a miserable walk. Kevin pulled out an umbrella and offered, "Um... I guess I'll be taking the bus, then. Do any of you need to be walked there?"

"Wait.." Lilith said turning to David, "Would you be able to give them a ride? I would hate for them to have to wait for the bus in this weather.. Do you have enough room in your truck?" she asked smiling up at him.

OOC Hey just wanted you guys to know that I work as a paramedic and my shift is 24hrs on and 48hrs off which is one day working and two days playing. I looked at Lilth and then to the two others not really wanting them to accompany us this afternoon but know it would be the nice thing to do. "Well, I don't have a crew cab but if we don't mind being close we should all fit." "Lets walk to the door and the three of you wait while I move it closer so you don't get so soaked." As I take a step to lead the way I smile at Lilth and boldly reach down and grab her hand holding as I walk away.

Lilith couldnt help but blush as he took her hand and walked towards the doors with her. As they got there, she smiled as she leaned against the doorway waiting for the others. "Thanks again..." she smiled pulling her hand gently from his.

I felt like I was on top of the world as we walked hand in hand together like we were a official couple. Some of my friends might wonder why I was with a Goth girl as that was not the type of girl they would seek. But it had nothing to do with her being Goth on not being Goth. It was only that I found her beautiful, enchanting, sweet, sincere, refreshing and something that pulled me to her like a moth to a flame. When I was near her the world seemed to melt away leaving only her and I together. We arrived at the door and I felt her hand slide from mine. "You are very welcome and I wouldn't have it any other way. I will be back in just a second." I looked at her for a few seconds and with a smile I opened the door and stepped out into the torrent of rain that was only a few minutes ago a drizzle running to my truck.

We all quickly half ran over to his truck and quickly jumped inside, doing her best not to leave her "lover boy" behind. She shivered a bit as they finally closed the door, and she buckled her seatbelt, brushing her hair out of her face. She glanced around at the other three that were in there with her and smiled a bit and looked out the window.

IT ended up that Lilith was beat for the front seat as Jenny took it. Not wanting to be impolite she sat in the back near Kevin, curling up against the window. It was such close quarters that her thigh rested against that of Kevin's she was sitting behind David, she could smell his aftershave, she closed her eyes smiling. She was sure her cheeks were flushed but her hair was plastered to her face in almost deads so she was sure no one would notice.

"So who gets dropped first?"

I was disappointed when Jenny took the open seat beside me and forced Lilth into the back directly behind. I looked at her in the rear view mirror and thought I could see her smiling and maybe blushing but her hair blocked my view. I kept looking at her and when I was sure she saw me I gave her a little wink. I wasn't sure where anyone lived so I asked Jenny did she want me to drop off her or Kevin first or where did they want to go?

Kevin felt relieved *and* embarrassed. He did not have to sit next to Jenny in the car. But he felt Lilith's hip against his, and she was gradually leaning against him. What could he do? What would Jenny think? Was Lilith thinking about him? What was Lilith's relationship with Jenny? And how would David react?

Kevin said, "I guess my house is closest."

"There doesn't happen to be a shortcut, is there?" asked David. "I'm kinda low on gas."

"Well, there is. Through the woods."

"Oh, right. Past the Corbitt house."

"I hear that place is haunted," said Jenny.

"Haunted?"

"Emily Corbitt. I heard that she was murdered the night of her wedding by a jealous suitor. She wanders the house, looking for her lover. I heard seventy years ago, a couple moved there, and she possessed the wife."

"What happened to the husband?"

"I don't remember."

"Well, the place just looks like a dilapidated old house during the daytime. During the nighttime..."

David didn't have a chance to finish his sentence. The truck sputtered on the road through the woods, jerking a bit, before conking out. Its headlights finally rested upon a set of old iron gates. As the lights slowly died out, the students could see behind it a foreboding abandoned house, a light barely visible inside.

OOC: Feel free to have the car not stop in front of the house and have the scene go somewhere else. Now, then. Where'd I put that great dane? :rose:

I peered at the gas hand as it was sitting on "E" almost as if it was laughing at me. I looked around and could see a very old iron gate and beyond that was an abandoned house. "Well, looks like we up a creek without a paddle guys." I looked around for any other signs of human habitation and seeing none said, "Maybe that house is just run down and not abandoned why we go and knock on the front door it can't hurt anything."

She was sitting there a bit nervous as they neared the creepy old building, but then her heart began to suddenly race inside her as the truck suddenly died out, as if the house was drawing them in and wouldn't let them leave. When she heard him suggest they go knock, she honestly would rather not but comon, she's 18 and isn't that cowardly by now...right?

As they all stepped out of the truck into the dark night, she azed at the big old house and a shiver when down and up and all around her body. She took a glance at the other 3, and they began slowly approaching the house.

Lilith snuck up beside David, not quite taking his hand but brushing it gently with hers as she smiled racing ahead of everyone. "There is nothing to fear, but fear itself," she thundered laughing at them as she approached the large door and banged the knocker a few times.

The door creaked open on it's hinges. Lilith turned and smiled at the others, "Looks like their inviting us in..."

Doing his best to impress Jennifer, after Lilith knocked and heard nothing, Kevin slowly opened the door. He could swear that the knob itself turned, but didn't mention anything. The four students entered into the antechamber, a modest room leading to the main room, and two stairs up to the next floor. The light was nonexistant, and David's flashlight shown the cracking paint, the old cobwebs, and rotten furniture. The flashlight rested on four wall portraits, of Victorian-clothed men and women: The first man had a rough weathered texture, and had a head of blonde hair. The woman next to him had had medium-length brown hair and chocolate brown eyes. The other woman -- perhaps her sister? -- also had deep brown eyes, but wore black, while the other wore white. One man had short black hair and broad shoulders.

Kevin swallowed. Faint piano music began to play from the main room.

OOC: I have some preference for staying together, if only b/c I prefer (ahem) multi-person sexual interaction over the one-on-one stuff. :rose:

She shivered a bit as Kevin opened the door and it slowly creaked open...they walked inside and began to game at large pictures of perhaps the men and women who used to live there...for who knows what reason those portraits just gave her the creeps. She stared all over at the eerie withered house. She had a strong dislike for spiders, and the house seemed like nobody stepped inside it for over 30 years. Maybe even more. She glanced at the others once again, then took a few steps forward, daring to explore the rest of the house.
