Each and every one of us is getting far more in service benefits because programs are being run out of DC (and State capitals and county seats) that combine resources to provide common goods than any one of us could pay for by ourselves.

Some of them are under threat by the Trump administration and Republican Congress, but even there that will leave each and every one of us with far more service benefit being provided out of the federal government than we could pay for or organize for ourselves.

There is probably a myriad of programs that could be done away with. But none of that matters if the dipshits in congress are only interested in lining their pockets or getting their pet pork. Far too many have come from relative obscurity, get elected to the hallowed halls of congress and end up being VERY wealthy all the while raking in money off the backs of the very people that they claim to be representing.

You just aren't understanding and appreciating who is paying for what in your life and what benefits you are enjoying and taking for granted.

The point is that you are getting a massive amount of benefit servicing for the taxes you pay, so your post that DC is doing nothing is just an index of your ignorance and pettiness.

I don't know why posters like you have to make silly, ignorant statements like this and then, when you're called on it, run off on a tangent about something else altogether. The business model in DC is to provide the greatest common need services to the people from the resources provided. Sure, there is leakage on the margin--even criminal leakage--but a whole hell of a lot of services are provided by DC under that business plan and, in the process, a whole hell of a lot more services than what happens with the business plans of businesses, which is to squeeze as much money for a few out of the work of the many that they can.

Folks in the federal services are, in many instances, laying their lives on the line for ignorant whiners like you.

I seem to recall some long-ago jurisdiction printing such a checklist on a ballot (as a non-binding measure). Somehow the idea never caught on. Maybe pols don't really give a shit what we want?

And what they'd only belatedly realize they really needed--the old example of walking to the end of your driveway. Is there a road there and/or a Russian soldier? If there is a road and not a Russian soldier, give some thought to whether this would be the case if you had to arrange that all by yourself with your effort and personal resources.

1- Find me the passage in the TOS or Forum Rules that states that I *have* to post anything to either the story submissions or any place else on this site.

2- While you are at it, find me the section that says I have to continue to post anything more (considering that I already posted some stuff to begin with).

3- Why do you even care?
