I started a Secret Santa thread.

I had 12 people sign up.

9 people were considerate enough to keep their obligations to their secret "friends" and send stuff out so that the last gift I know that was received was on December 27th.

1 person emailed me today apologizing that she has not sent out her gift as yet (thanks for the apology, I will pass it along).

and

TWO PEOPLE ARE IN THE WIND...NO WORD, NO GIFTS, NO NOTHING.

I understand, as we all do, that life sometimes gets in the way of our desires and pleasures. The least that could have been done though is a word so that I would not have MY FRIENDS under the impression that their partner would be sending them something.

To my friends who have not received their gifts, I apologize. Please PM me with the cost of your gift to your Secret Santa and I will reimburse you that amount.

To those that did not send out their gifts...need I REALLY say anymore?

Things happen, I understand that, and me personally, I did it more for the joy of sending a gift than giving one. You shouldn't have to pay for some one else, but it does show good character that you are willing to.

It upsets me to no end though that I didn't even at least get a PM asking me to relay a message or to say something happened.

I had a few who had things come up and they PM'd me as soon as they knew there were issues so that I could pass word along to their partners.

All I'm asking for is a little consideration for those that were expecting something.

Even if I hadn't heard from my secret santa (which I did today), I wouldn't have let you pay for this- I wanted to participate- I thought it was cool.

I hope that my person has got theirs- I did send it quite a while ago. And I hope she likes it.
