Looking for some Sparks
Seems everyone is mentioning their return from hiatus - so if I want to be cool I should say the same ... but for me it was more of a loss of inspiration over the last month or so. Well, I am trying to respark my creativity, in part finally catching up on stories I let slide, but also to see if there are new ones to get the fire lit.
Looking for female co-writer(s) to join me in creative stories. You can have a look see at my SRP Profile and the threads & ideas I have washed around. The posts can range to (at the shortest) a couple of paragraphs, averaging three or four paragraphs, and depending on my inspiration would post a couple times a week (and I post only in SRP threads). This is about the joy of creating for me, so I love a good long development and good characters.
If you have some stories you want to work on, I am always interested to hear them - but I have a few concepts (some old some new) to inspire:
Princess in Hiding -- Her father, the king, is dead. Her uncle made a claim to the throne that was recognized by many of the Dukes, backed by the army. To legitimize the claim, the uncle does what all do in such an occasion - call for her head. That was weeks ago, and all those who helped her escape and run to the countryside had either left to gather more support or fallen in the attempts to hide her. Now she is far from the gilded life she knew as a child, alone, needing help, and the only one seemingly kind enough to do so is simple born, Yet she knows in order to grant him any thanks, she will need to hide her true bloodline from her helper.
Work Study -- There’s a girl he likes at school. She is sweet, cute, kind, and with the more he talks to her the more he likes her. She works all the time, so it’s hard to date, but he thinks he can convince her to go with him to prom. His father though thinks that now that he is 18 he needs a little experience, so he takes him to the local brothel. The girl he picks there is beautiful, sexy, and experienced -- though under the makeup and wig is that same girl he is falling for in school. Can she keep the secret? Will she keep the secret?
Country Girl / City Boy -- It was the worse place for his car to break down, not just on a fairly empty road but outside of cell range. Luckily out here in the country he can rely on the kindness of strangers, and not just to get the car fixed. ((This is more concept than developed idea at the moment, it just throws back to those old stories about guys getting “in trouble” with a farmer’s daughter.))
Not Like This -- Well folks … this is it. All the heros failed, all the last chances are done. The world will come to an end pretty soon. We all we are going on; so we just don’t want to go out like this. We all had a bucket list, some of it full of some pretty weird stuff .. well, we just got a couple weeks left to knock those things off. So these two people, in search for something fun and exciting as much to take their minds off the impending doom find each other, and those bucket list items just start falling off the list. (Inspired by a mix of ‘Seeking a Friend for the End of the World’ and ‘This Is The End’ - intent is to be lighthearted mostly, but asking the question what we would want to do if we know the clock is ticking).
None of this is so hard set that we can’t discuss it - at the end of the day, this is a shared story so we both have to buy into the concept.
I’m always interested to hear your ideas as well - even if it goes in a different direction. If you are interested in these or any other ideas floating around, feel free to PM me. Every idea is up for discussion, and we can do whatever it takes to make it work.

love the idea of a blind date style role play really open ended concept, it would be in modern times and feature two characters going on a blind date with each other. The two would know very little about one another and so both me and my partner would not share to much about each others characters.

Also I am looking to do a one night stand story in a similar vien. Once again these characters would have met possibly at a bar or some thing and hooked up the next morning they both have to sort through the fallout and see if there is enough there to continue seeing it each other.

Taking The Shot
Hello there! I know I am new to this website, but I have been role-playing for quite some time. Usually I role-play in first person in which I am very comfortable with. I have started third-person though.
I do have a set-up that I am really wanting to do, So I guess if you like it just shoot me a message! Just because it's in third-person does not mean it needs to continue in third!
I forgot to mention, I am a male seeking a female partner!

Football has always been a constant in Taylor Johnson’s life. At an early age his father placed the ball in his hand and begun teaching him the ways of the game. It all worked out in the end. After leading his high school team to state three out of the four years he was there, Taylor received a full ride to Arizona State. As excited as he was, there was only a slight problem. Arizona State also recruited another freshman quarterback, and only on of them was going to get the starting job come the fall. The other incoming freshman was Garrett Buckson, and Taylor knew nothing about him except that he was entirely focused on the game.
After arriving to campus and training, Taylor took in his surroundings. The campus was as beautiful as he thought it was going to be. A few of the guys from the team had told him about a party that was going on to celebrate the start of the season for the fall sports. When he arrived, it wasn’t like previous parties that he’s ever been to. Nursing the same beer he had for hours, his eyes landed on a gorgeous brunette that seemed to be pissed off at the world. Looking her over, he couldn’t get seem to feel attracted to her even though he didn’t know her. After mustering up some strength, he walked over to her and introduced himself. Noting she was slightly tipsy he decided to pick up on the drinking himself. He didn’t know how it happened however they ended up in a room alone together, and it was the most prolific night of his life. Remembering every detail, he awoke to find that he was alone. Slight regret burst through his veins, trying to remember a name of this mystery woman.
A month went by without Taylor seeing or finding any information on this mystery girl, so he had given up. Garrett had become somewhat of a close friend to Taylor, presuming he wanted to keep the enemy closer. All Garrett would talk about is football and his girlfriend Zoe. The way he talked about her, and the way he would cancel plans just to go over film had Taylor fuming. One night, Garrett invited him to hang out. The only catch was that he had to stop somewhere first. Dressing in cargo shorts and an Arizona State t-shirt, Taylor reluctantly agreed to come along. When they reached the dorm that Garrett was heading to, Taylor hung back. The door opened, and his breath was taken away from his throat as he saw the girl from that night. His thoughts came crashing down hearing Garrett’s words, “Zoe, baby!”.

The Call To Arms
Defenders I wish this was under better circumstances
It has been five years since we last saw each other, five years since the defenders operated as the global peace keeping force we all vowed to be, five years since the bombing of our headquarters that lead to the accords and the end of the defenders. It was my job as your commander to keep you safe to protect and lead you in our most trying of times. Whether I failed or not..... Well you would know better than I but I do know one thing.
The world needs its shield again
I've kept tabs on most of you so I know you guys know how bad it is out there. The world is once again on the brink of war. Maniacal forces, ancient enemies, and greedy governments have once again rises after they managed to defeat us. Every day some thing new is happening and innocent civilians are getting caught in the crosshairs.
And that I can not abide
Its time for us to come back, to once again take up the mantle of shield and sword for our planet. You all come from different places, different nationalities. The powers you wield and the technology you use represent the best of humanity and our will to live. It is once again time to take up arms, to show the earth its hero's are still here.
That humanity is still defended

Seeking Creative Female Writer for Fun Storyline
The storyline in question is: I've Got You On Speed Dial, a wonderfully imaginative and fun thread that was created by my co-author who has now not been in Lit for over 7 months.
The story goes like this: Jen, a young, bookish, socially awkward woman who has absolutely no skin in the real-life game of sex and romance has a secret that her women friends in her book group would never suspect. Jen is supporting herself by running a phone sex line. One evening while in her favorite bookstore she, literally, runs into Matt, an equally socially awkward, young humanities professor, who hasn't had anything more than a chaste kiss in the four years since his former girlfriend walked out on him. In their own shy way they connect enough to have coffee ending with the invitation for Matt to attend the next meeting of Jen's book group.
But, Matt has a secret of his own. For a awhile he has been working up the courage to call the 900 sex line number that he found somewhere, a temptation to which he finally succumbs. Needless to say, this is Jen's line. Neither of them recognize the other. Ordinarily, Jen doesn't get off at all on her phone contacts - although she is great at convincing her clients that she does - but surprisingly this awkward guy on the other end of the line begins to turn her on as well.
So, that's as far as the thread has gotten. Obviously, their two worlds will eventually meet. There is lots of room in this story for erotic writing, humor, and creativity. We could have lots of fun co-creating this story, and engage our readers while doing so.

Been a while since...
Open call to any lady interested;
If the ocean is your calling, Andrew Sinclair, the pirate is looking for you. Opening scene:
Andrew leans back against the roughly hewed log and granite stone wall. The tavern is noisy tonight. Dutch fishermen and sailor spew out their stories of adventures on the high seas. While large breasted serving girl bring steins of mead and beer to tables. The smell of grog and rum fills the room, adding to the gray plums of pipe smoke that hangs over the crowd like a threating storm.
Next to him is a fellow captain and good friend Alexi Rostov of the pirate ship Eyes of Azov. Alexi snore softly. His breath heavy with Jamaican rum. Alexi is a little out of place here. A Dutch tavern in the new world is not where one would go to find a Russian pirate. And most would admit that Neiw Amsterdam is a bit off the beaten trail for Caribbean pirates to begin with.
But low and behold here they are thanks to their local benefactor Franko Hogers. Mr. Hogers is the main stockholder in the Franko Generals Services Corporation. Which is made up of Franko's General Store and the Red Dragon on the Water and Franko's Wagon and Transport Company. And half owner of East River Papers.
Andrew is here to meet a lady. He doesn't know her in either meanings of the word. He just received a rather cryptic message Meet me at the Dragon signed by a woman's hand or so Andrew hopes.

Opening scene:
The bar was crowded tonight. Rex sat in his private booth near the rear door. Halo is droning on about a party she had been at the night before. Rex looked at the door as a large brutish guy comes strutting in and takes a seat at the bar. Rex had seen him around before. He could be trouble if he got too drunk.
Brossy the bar tender waltzes over to the guy and inquired to what he would have.
"TANIUM ALE, no bottle, mug!" he grunted.
Rex gave Halo a knowing look. "He just ordered Tamiun Ale, they don't serve Tamiun Ale here, there's going to be problems."
Halo looked over at the big man. "Just another loud mouth, He'll be all right."
Rex watched as Brossy tells the man he did not have what he wanted.
The man started to reach over to grab Brossy, but Brossy comes up with a blaster just as the man's hand brushed Brossy's waist coat.
"What .....I mean to say, was I would like a Tamiun Ale, but will take what you have on tap!"
Halo looked back at Rex. " See I told you"
Rex shrugs and looks over to Halo. "Tell me why we are here again."
Halo shakes her head" Some times Rex, you are thick headed." Halo looks around the bar" We are waiting for the new crew member!"

Andrew leans back against the roughly hewed log and granite stone wall. The tavern is noisy tonight. Dutch fishermen and sailor spew out their stories of adventures on the high seas. While large breasted serving girl bring steins of mead and beer to tables. The smell of grog and rum fills the room, adding to the gray plums of pipe smoke that hangs over the crowd like a threating storm.
Next to him is a fellow captain and good friend Alexi Rostov of the pirate ship Eyes of Azov. Alexi snore softly. His breath heavy with Jamaican rum. Alexi is a little out of place here. A Dutch tavern in the new world is not where one would go to find a Russian pirate. And most would admit that Neiw Amsterdam is a bit off the beaten trail for Caribbean pirates to begin with.
But low and behold here they are thanks to their local benefactor Franko Hogers. Mr. Hogers is the main stockholder in the Franko Generals Services Corporation. Which is made up of Franko's General Store and the Red Dragon on the Water and Franko's Wagon and Transport Company. And half owner of East River Papers.
Andrew is here to meet a lady. He doesn't know her in either meanings of the word. He just received a rather cryptic message Meet me at the Dragon signed by a woman's hand or so Andrew hopes.

Looking for a female writer to take on this role:
A woman recently went through a nasty divorce where the husband refused the idea of children and cheated on her. After everything has been finalized she looks to really seek control in her life, and sees that she can achieve that best by seducing her nephew and dictating their relationship. She also sees him as her best hope to become a mother.
