Seeking Female Co-Writers
This is probably dangerous to my free time to even think about but … I am looking to add one or two more stories to my repertoire, for no better reason than there are some good writers out here now a days.
Looking for female co-writer(s) to join me in creative stories. You can have a look see at my SRP Profile and the threads & ideas I have washed around.
I tend to post once or twice a week, and sometimes can go a little bit in coming months for … erm … reasons. The posts can range to (at the shortest) a couple of paragraphs, averaging three or four paragraphs, and depending on my inspiration would post a couple times a week (and I post only in SRP threads). This is about the joy of creating for me, so I love a good long development and good characters. So you can say, I am more about the ‘quality’ of posts more than the quantity.
If you have some stories you want to work on, I am always interested to hear them - but I have a few concepts (some old some new) to inspire:
Road to Hope -- Society has ended, and they are running. Out here in the plains, there never been that many people; of course since the event happened there aren’t many people anywhere. Maybe people are running here because all that space means there wasn’t the anarchy like there was back in the big cities. That’s what makes him run out here at least. That and a rumor of that one place that could be ‘that place’. Maybe that is what makes her run this way too; but with the world broke down the dangers for her are much worse. Running out here means you fight to make sure you can survive on their own, these two though come together so they can reach ‘that place’. A place where it’s rumored you don’t have to keep running anymore.
Spoils of War -- The village put up a good fight, but the attackers were stronger and better prepared. They were warriors, with greater weapons, horses, and ways to tear down their walls. Now these warriors wash over the village and take with them the spoils. Of course, he was more of a dignified fighter, and grew to respect the more primitive villagers. Taking the ‘spoils’ is something he had never been all that interested in. Until he saw her. Yet she was a reward that he wasn’t quite prepared for.
Costume Party -- (Tis the season for the spooky stuff) They knew each other, co-workers and friends. They had a passing interest for each other, but both of them thought the other would probably be too boring or too down to earth to be any fun. At least not the fun they had individually planned on their own. They both decked out in the best costumes they had, so good no one would recognize them under the mask. The party was crazy, the drinks were everywhere, and at some point, two masked spooky people … well … sometimes you can leave the mask on while taking everything else off. Back to real life, something slipped to make them suggest that they might have to find out how ‘not boring’ the other one can be.
You Humble Me Lord -- (Idea so inspired by song lyrics, this time I rather I just share those and we can talk if you interested) Went out on a limb, Gone too far, broke down at the side of the road. Stranded at the outskirts and sun's creepin' up. Baby's in the backseat still fast asleep & dreamin' of better days. I don't want to call you but you're all I have to turn to. Heard you kicked the bottle, helped to build the church & you carry an honest wage. Is it true you’ve got someone keeping you company. What do you say when it's all gone away, baby I didn't mean to hurt you. The truth spoke in whispers will tear you apart no matter how hard you resist it.
It never rains when you want it to.
None of this is so hard set that we can’t discuss it - at the end of the day, this is a shared story so we both have to buy into the concept.
I’m always interested to hear your ideas as well - even if it goes in a different direction. If you are interested in these or any other ideas floating around, feel free to PM me. Every idea is up for discussion, and we can do whatever it takes to make it work.
