I disagree. Verily,

is a perfectly appropriate transition entirely on its own. Trust me.
Doing "Oh, but maybe we can fuck?" at this juncture kills the buildup and doesn't fit with the character. In this context, it needs a bit of lead-up and transition, since it's in a care setting (massage), so the massage needs to serve as a pseudo-foreplay and help break down inhibitions to get to the point of "Damn, I need this." It helps with in-character progression and also allows for more erotic buildup prior to initiating a more straightforward sexual encounter.

What I have is cramming that forward unnecessarily and trying to provide a brief history into how sex work is treated differently than our world but not referencing our world and it's just inartfully handled, when I should be drawing it out more and building desire and teasing the reader more, and either find a better way to give that sex work lore or just ditch it entirely (probably the latter unless I can weave it in more naturally).

don't scrap it but cut it and paste it to a separate document unti you find the spot(s) to use it (a slow dribble review in segments might be the option)

I rarely straight-up delete anything more than a couple sentences on the off-chance there's something to salvage. They go at the end of the document in a little manure heap that usually ends up being about 10 - 20% of the entire document.

I feel like Future Anthy is gonna be super pissed at how much work is left for her to do, so I left her a note:
TODO: Was he though? Figure this shit out, Future Anthy. I believe in you! You’re a good, sexy bird who is super smart and capable and totally has this! Don’t hate me too much...
