I am glad that you do take lots of breaks b/c you don't want to get burned out in a hard major like that. I know of a few people who got burned out of nursing when I was going to school for my RN. Good luck.

It takes a lot of dedication to be a SLP -- - worked with SLPs for 12 years in order to be able to enunciate my speech properly as I am unable to hear. Took a lot of work and patience! And tht was years ago. I've gone to several aud and SLP conventions as part of my advocacy work in the past.

I can see that now, how hard it can be and how hard it is. But I love the field and I cant wait to start doing my observations and hands on work. Its a really rewarding career and the best part is to see the improvements in the individuals. I think that's what intrigued me so much was being able to help children or adults with something that so many of us take for granted.

Thanks..... I can see where I would get burned out and if I do start to feel that way I will just take less days at work to manage (then there will be more time to go running or to do other activities lol). As long as I don't give up on school, I plan on graduating with a masters in 3 years. So excited for school to end but I am enjoying my time while it lasts. Have a great morning!
