I see a lot of chatter about shaving, personally I like to get shaved. It's fantastic.... :p

But on occasion I still get those nasty red bumps, any hints on how to avoid them?

my second question about waxing, is not regarding hair removal but using wax as a erotic tool...any suggestions?

Best suggestion i would think of: Don't use the type of wax intended for hair removal, it's such a hassle to remove it from the skin. Use candle wax. White, unscented household candles are best, they burn at a lower temperature compared to others. Applying a good moisterizing lotion before play is a good idea, it will aid in the removal of the wax afterwards.

I've had problems with those red bumps, too, particularly if I try to shave in the shower. What's been working well for me lately is to take a nice relaxing soak in the tub, then shave.

As for your second question, you might check out the BDSM boards. I'm sure that you can find lots of info there! :)

Try putting on some Neosporin on after shaving. It really helped me!!! :D

Waxing as opposed to shaving dramatically drops the red bumps.

Wax as an erotic tool... some waxes burn hotter than other waxes. You also want a good distance between you and the point the wax is being poured or dripped from.

i just ran into the answer to this question (shaving one) a couple days ago, i've always had a very hard time with those red bumps, sooooo annoying, and soooo itchy as time goes on, but the last time that i shaved, i didn't press 1/2 as hard i just let the razor skim over my skin instead actually applying pressure, yeah it would skip some spots but i'd just go over it again in the same way. and what do you know? NO RED BUMPS! yay! finally, after alll these years! but yes waxing does cut down on the red bumps dramatically. my old waxist? person that did my waxing always recommended a product called "bikini saver" to help with ingrown hairs and stuff, she said it would even work to keep the red bumps at bay while shaving, of course i never took her up on it even though it was only 16 bucks for the tube of stuff, then finally one day i decided to get it. what the hell you know? and yeah, it worked too haha, was kind of weird that everything that i didn't do for the longest time actually works.......hmmmmm, oh well, hope it helps
