Shifters..Open..

Rimac splashed around in the deeper end of the pool for a while, watching the others relax slightly as Kara had led the other humans away. He didn't really care about getting seen by the humans as jaguars were not altogether uncommon in these jumgles. However, he reasoned, he really should not get too close, as jaguars were predators.

paddling through the water to one of the banks, he climbed out and shook off some of the water that stuck to his fur and weighed him down. He was going to follow Kara, and find out where this camp was! Why? Because he wanted to. Of course, his elders would scold him severely for this, but he wanted to be indepandant.

Putting his nose closer to the ground, he picked up a faint scent that he recognised from the clothes. Not as heavy, he guessed, becasue she had been in the water. Quickly, he was off, moving through the jungle at speed, following the trail.

It didn't take him very long to reach a large clearing on the edge of the forrest, and none to far from some Mayan ruins. It was there that he stopped, and hid himself in the undergrowth, observing the camp with his large, green eyes

"No you wouldn't have. This is my first Journey from my People. I am Niabi."

She dared to give Cascall a smile. After all that was the point of this gathering, right?

She relaxed more, sitting on a boulder with her feet in the cool water. There was slight breeze now and it felt good against her skin. It alwo foretold of the coming night.

Kara looked up at Tai as he came out of the jungle and wondered how she was going to protect them from being discoverd if they followed her to the camp.

She knew Ian would beleive Connors storie about being a tourest who had gotten lost simply because he looked the part, but how was she going to explain Tai's appearance, and protect him.

Looking around she reolized she wasnt the only one who had see Tai emerge from the jungle or heard what he had asked so she awncered his question as best she could. No i am sorry i havent seen any recently we have only just returned to camp i beleave we may have frightened away most of the game when setting up our equipment.

She had been about to offer for him to eat with them before he returned to hunting when Ian reappeared. And who might this be?? Turning to look at him she said. I dont know i havent asked his name yet. He just asked if we had seen any game in the area.

Kara watched as Ian glaired at her and looked both Tai and Connor over seeming to size them up. Why she didnt know it wasnt like he had any claim to her. They had always argued and never gotten along.

To Tai he said We are archeoligosts not hunters so no i havent noticed any game in the area..., and to Connor As to you sir i have raidioed back to the village and someone will be here in the morning to escort you safely back to your toure group, and my men have mannaged to come up with an extra tent for you to use until then.

Kara's eyes narrowed as Ian grabbed her arm and lead her further away from Tai and Connor. What is wrong with you ? Why is it you always come up with strays on every excavation we have? Why cant you let things be? Kara could only remember one other excavation that he could be refering to and the boy she had found while scouting int the desert had been beaten and left for dead.

Kara jerked her arm out of his grasp and stepped back. First off you can keep your hands to yourself.. and second to awncer your question it could be because i am not such a popmus ass like you, and not just looking for a quick find, or fame. Kara new she was in trouble as Ians face turned dark red with anger. His fists balled as he turned away she knew she really needed to stop baiting him.

"Pleased to meet you Niabi" Cascall returns her smile with one of his own. "I haven´t seen a mountain lion shifter before. Seen most other sort of cats but not that kind." He tilts his head to her before wading out in the water. The cool and fresh touch to his body is refreshing and he lowers himself in it. Cascall let´s the water cover his head and stays under for about 20 seconds before surfacing. Smiling with pure pleasure he wipes his wet long hair from his face.

Connor could smell the stranger that stumbled into the camp after him. "Bloody shifter coppin' my style..." he muttered. At least Connor had a believable story. The dragon didn't even have a weapon to suggest he was hunting game. Another few minutes and the camp was going to be very suspicious of him. Why was it that wolves turned out to be the only smart ones?

He got up and walked over to Kara after the one known as Ian left. "By the look o' him, you'd think the bug up his arse had set up a whole colony by now. My name's Connor, by the way. Connor Flaherty."

Niabi just grinned at him as he waded further into the water. She slipped into the cool water herself, but only up to her chest.

"Well we are a unique tribe. It works well for my home country."

A part of her mind wondered how it was going at the human camp. But she didn't have the urge to go see for herself. The less she had to deal with humans the better.

Cascall was not a bit curious of what was going on at the human camp. He just hoped that the woman stood by her word. Somehow he knew she was trustworthy so he was able to relax in the coolness of the water. If just his fellow shifters did not put the truth out there, they had nothing to worry about.

For now Cascall was just pleased to relax here in the water with the company of Niabi, the Mountain lion woman. He smiles at her again. "I am not part of a tribe, have only met a few of my kind in my days."

Tai left the camp, heading back out into the jungle, and smiled, spotting a game trail. He had never needed weapons, preferring to use the surroundings as such. So he looked around, and spotted a younger tree, and some vines, and quickly made a snare trap. He bent the tree over, tying the vines around the tip, and found a stick he could use as a pin to hold it down. Once done, he looked back at the camp, and grinned slightly, seeing them. He then vanished into the underbrush to wait.

Kara couldnt help but laugh at Connors remark, as she showed him the way to the tent one of the other men were setting up for him to use.its a pleasure to meet you Connor Flaherty.. My name is Kara Jennings.

leaving...

OOC: sorry but I am leaving... everyone have fun :)

Connor smiled lightly. "Oh, so I get my own tent? Just as well. It'd be hard to share a cot, now wouldn't it?" He let a devilish tone creepy into his voice when he said that. "Though I think I'd be up to the challenge."

In Dublin, Connor was known for being an incorrigable flirt. Though he may not have been the slickest or most charming person, one did have to give him credit for persistence and optimism.

Naibi relaxed in the water. Cascall was not a threat, and it was fascinating to meet a shifter not of her tribe. She climbed back on the rock to elt the cool breeze dry her skin.

"We are a rather unique tribe. i don't that there are others like my family."

Tai came back, after having snared four very large animals for a meal, and grinned, dragging them behind him. He looked at the others. "How do you like your meat?"

Standing with the water up to his waist Cascall smiles back to Niabi. "To be honest, i am a little envious of you. Belonging somewhere is just a dream for me." He turned around and walked over to the rock she was seated on.

"The few of my kind i have met are not part of tribes as well. May be that we are born loners." He turns his head towards her with a sad smile on his lips.

The only hard part about figuring out how to share a cot would be deciding who is on top.. Kara said grinning unable to help teasing conner back, before walking over to her own tent and gathering up her tools.. She needed to get back to work before Ian spotted her again, and make sure to stay away from the writings they had argued over earler.

Smiling as she sholdered her pack she walked back over to Conner. You have your choice of boardoms.. you can come with me and be board while i work or you can stay in camp. she said.

Kara actually hoped he would join her she wanted to learn more about him and the others, and couldnt talk to him in camp with everyone around.

LeTasia (pronounced Latasha) McDaniels~werefox

LeTasia paused on her way back to the falls. With so many different lycans coming and going it was hard work keeping an eye on the humans. She wondered (as always) how she ended up being the gaurdian. After all, with lions, jaguars and a dragon (for crying outloud!) abounding, there was obviously others better suited to keeping the sacred sites safe from prying, human eyes.

Stepping over a fallen tree, she heard distant voices. It sounded like the female scientist talking to one of the others. Taking a moment to blend in with the undergrowth, she turned tail and headed back for her spot by the camp. Obviously, this wasn't a good thing. Especially since the woman had went through such pains to hide the knowledge of the meet from the others in her camp.

It took but a few minutes to accomplish the transformation from short, brown skinned, dark haired, green eyed female to reddish orange, green eyed fox and then Tasia moved a bit closer, listening in to the flirtation between the Lycan and the human.

OOC~greetings everyone. Here is hoping I can fit in easily with the group and not mess up the dynamics too badly.

Rimac's ears pricked up. Someone was moving through the undergrowth close to him. Slinking through the undergrowth, his green eyes soon fell apon a beutiful dark-skinned girl shifting into the form of a large fox. A fox? Here? Didn't his elders say something about a 'cunning guardian'? and fox's are considered rather cunning.

She seemed to be slinking closer to the camp, her attention fixed on the woman Kara and her conversation. Rational thaught evading his brain once again, Rimac moved forward, making enough noise for the warefox to hear him with her undobtedly sharp ears, and made no attempt to hide

((ooc: Welcome! It's no upset at all!))

Tasia stopped in her progress and looked back over a furred shoulder. Blending in almost perfectly with the undergrowth was a young jaguar. Rimac, she thought. Once again, he hadn't listened. A happy foxen grin lit her face and she yipped lightly to let him know she had spotted him.

I don't know what the heck his tribe is thinking, keeping a young one such as he, under lock and key. They should give him a bit more freedom. After all, I started the guardian training when I was but a kit.

With a sigh, she lay down in the deep grass, waiting to hear if Connor was going to accompany the female *Kara??* to a safer place for discourse. One hoped he would, gods know she did not want to have to kill the leader of this expedition but with so many things outside her control it may have to occur.

Why oh why do these things happen on MY watch??

"I think I'll join you. I figure it would make for a nice addition to my tour."

Connor followed after her, keeping at her side with an even, graceful stride. When he was certain no one would eavesdrop on them, he whispered to her, "So, how much do you know about our kind?"

"Nobody is a born loner. Why else would you be here?"

She gave him a smile as he inched closer. This man..this Shifter intrigued her. Even his sad smile served only to deepen her interest. Somewhere in his past was a lot of pain, like most of her kind had. It was never talked bout, but understood.

"Besides, belonging to a Tribe isn't all of what is supposed to be."

She dared to reach out to softly stroke his cheek.

Cascall smiled at Niabis words. To his surprise she reached out and stroked his cheek. He flinched slightly at the touch. Not used to physical connection he tries to hide his reaction from her. If a black man could blush he sure would. After the initial shock he just stand still. His eyes are distant. "I am here." He shruggs. "Damn if i know."

He turns his head to her. "Somehow i think it is in our blood to be loners." He smiles again. "I do not say that as a way to get compassion."

Rimac settled into the long grass to the side, and slightly behind the warefox. She seemed to be intent on examining the human camp, but had let out a short yip, indicating she knew he was there. He remained silent, observing bot her, and the human camp. Of course, he had no real idea of what she was planning. Surely she wouldn't rush into the camp for any reason! If history had told his tribe anything, it's that humans with guns tend to shoot first and question later

Tai had started preparing the animals, thinking he might be able to make some jerky to take with him, even as the others were busy with other things. He quickly skinned the animals, glad they had been just that, and started to clean out the innards. After preparing them, he made some racks, and stretched some of the meat out on them, cut into thin strips, before starting a fire in a dry, clear spot that looked like it had been used for such before.

"Then so be it."

She withdrew her hand as he had flinched. He apparently was not used to physical contact.

She fell silent. Obviously this man..this shifter...was a true loner. She decided to change the subject.

"It will be dark soon."
