*nod* Yup.

Sunshine on my shoulders does, too... but shopping is a definite happy-maker for this little Jade.

I bought my first EVER, little black dress. And black satin shoes to wear with it. Match it with my dress collar, and a pair of antique earrings, and I'm ready for the ball! (Formal Christmas party for work).

I'm so excited!!

Sounds nice. Shopping also can lift my spirits, though I am usually more likely to buy for someone else than myself. LOL, I remember getting chastised by F for quite a long time after we first got together for never buying myself anything, never asking for anything. Hmmm, well he eats his words now he has trained me so well that I am allowed to want and my wants lay mostly in the expensive area of photography. :D Doesn't mean I get, but he knows I have a long list of wants I hope become reality for at least some of them over time.

Catalina :catroar:

I shop for other people all the time, and rarely for myself, as well... though this... well, this began with the shoes. Saw them, loved them, but didn't buy them, because I was going to wear a different dress to the party.

Then casually shopped for a dress, and bought the black one cus it would go with the shoes. Then I had to go buy the shoes.

*grin*

I don't like shopping for clothes. But shoes..shoes are a different story. But only if I am in an area of the country that has shoe stores that carry my size. Then I buy lots of shoes.

Shopping to me is more of a chore. Because when I go to buy something I can never ever find anything that fits me right due to my irregular body, lol.

Shopping is the best thing ever. I really don't mind if I can't spend money on myself just as long as I get to shop.

Speaking of which the best shopping day EVER is in less than a week. :nana: I am so excited I can barely stand it.

Ahh..another Black Friday fan!!!! Where are you going? do you have your game plan done already???

I have been sitting here tonight working on the master plan. If I go to the cities for Thanksgiving I will have many more options than if I stay here in the town I live in.

If I stay at my house it will be:

K-mart on thanksgiving
Walmart first on black friday
gamestop
target
JC Penny's
then possibly
Herberger or K mart again

If I go to the cities:

Kmart on thanksgiving
Walmart
Target
Best Buy
Toys r us
gamestop
Penny's
Macy's
and then I don't know.

How about you got the master plan set yet?

i usually do day after thanksgiving shopping with my mom, but last year she had heart surgery the week before thanksgiving, and this year she has salmonella poisening so we havnt done shopping in a while.

Good for you! I'm sure you'll look great and have a fun time!

There was a time that I had time and money. I enjoyed shopping then. Though I rarely bought anything. When I did it was bargained over or deeply discounted already. If the thing were for me that is. Mostly I enjoyed picking through junky antique shops and thrift stores. Those were the days.

Now I hate to shop unless I have the time to window shop and no pressure to buy anything. Or unless I'm shopping for someone else.

I truly miss the days also, of going into a toy store for the holidays.

One year I did all the shopping for my in laws because of a family health crisis. I don't mind helping out that way if needed but I still don't love to shop.

My mother and grandmother scare me because they only seem to shop and go to the doctor. They do both too much IMO. What a life.

Shopping outside my house on the day after thanksgiving has all the appeal of oral surgery.

I'll be using Etsy.com
Amazon
and Ebay heavily this year.

Actually I get almost everything online. I get so much sterling/gem/beads/crap and so many packages and send so many out I'm sure I'm on a list of people they think might be running drugs. It's cardboard central.

Cool!

Though I dislike Ebay.

I do use Amazon often, and book or electronic stores.

Etsy.com is a new one on me!

I think I like it!

Thanks!
