Should there ever be a bike-porn thread...

Yeah, kinda. Except that one is more 'Porn on bikes' as opposed to this one which is 'Bike Porn' Plus that one hasn't had a post in over a year.

Guess you haven't really checked it out. Lol maybe it was before your time.

Ogg, I notice very few of these folks have helmets on, even the children. Are bike helmets rarely worn where you hail from?

The pictures are almost all of Dutch cyclists. Unless they are racing, Dutch people don't wear helmets on a bike. Why should they? They have dedicated cycleways, cycle phases on traffic lights, and bicycles have priority over cars and trucks.

Most of the country is flat and cyclists are everywhere.

Added: If you look in the background of each picture, almost all have parked cycles. The last picture is the Dutch equivalent of the school bus.

That sounds like a great place to ride. Though, even if I was the only beast on the road, I'd probably still wear a helmet. And, my kids certainly too when they were riding on my bike with me, or learning to ride. Life comes at you fast sometimes.

I was in Denmark last March and saw a huge number of bikes. Copenhagen is quite bike friendly. Some people wear helmets and some don't. The cars are fairly well trained there. I'd not wear my helmet if just putzing in town.

That really sounds wonderful.

I've never ridden anywhere that cars didn't own the road. That's why I love the woods -- it's only trees that jump out in front of me in the woods.

Nice rack! ;)

Seriously, that's really cool. Some of those bikes would be an impressive lift up.
